I've been rolling on a KQi 100p, I assume it's the same app and I've had no problems with it.
r/ElectricScooters • Should I get the Niu KQi3? ->I recently got a NIU KQi 100p, couldn't be happier. Not yet at 100 miles but I'll post a proper review when I do. I only use 2 miles a day to and from the train station so it's got enough range for me, definitely fast enough, front suspension makes it so smooth. Very premium feeling vehicle, a bit heavier than I'd like but I don't have to carry it far. Disclaimer tho, it's my first non-Lime/Bird scooter.
r/ElectricScooters • Do people still buy name brands? ->I just bought my daughter a Nui kqi 100p. I have ridin it, and I am impressed by the power it has for its weight. I also have a kukirin g2 master and it would be too heavy for your needs. The niu does surprising well up hills. Good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for. https://shop.niu.com/products/niu-kqi-100p-electric-scooter?srsltid=AfmBOorv3Tj6u4LGOpcf-xSLTpIoYp1vw9LqWJKhPmgCu-mi2-LrfG-I *edit* it is cheaper at best buy, which is where I purchased it.
r/ElectricScooters • New to electric scooters ->Take a look at the NIU kqi 100p it's under 40 lb. Goes up to 18.5 mph and I can get at least 8 mi from it from a full charge. I'm pretty sure it can go even further but I haven't ran out the battery fully yet. I'm just going by an estimate. 18.5 mph probably isn't super fast for you but you're going to need a little more weight to the scooter if you want it to do any faster. I actually prefer having less weight at the expense of speed.
r/ElectricScooters • Lightweight and fast scooter ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

As a fan of AliExpress since before Amazon sold more than just books, I still wouldn't buy a rideable from there. You want some level of reliability and good reputation. For your budget, you'ré looking at Niu kqi or Inmotion products. Way less maintenance and better value than any ebike or diy kit. I use all the PEV's and generally recommend an escooter for most people thinking they want an ebike. If they can get away with the range, escooter is way better value. For $1,000, you get a junky ebike but a pretty good scooter. Feel free to use my coupon code, Funcentric if you decide to go with an Inmotion product.
r/ElectricScooters • Does a budget electric scooter make more sense than a motorized bike? ->I'm thinking about pulling the trigger and buying this electric scooter for my first ever electric scooter. Amazon has the NUI KQI 100P for $349.99 with an extra $100 off and with taxes and everything it's only $272.17. Sounds like a good deal from what I read.
r/ElectricScooters • First Thoughts on the NIU KQi 100p ->https://preview.redd.it/9aqbp39dce2e1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31b080f880e088a9c24f49de6f1ff08ea399f15f
r/ElectricScooters • First Thoughts on the NIU KQi 100p ->I got it and I love it
r/ElectricScooters • First Thoughts on the NIU KQi 100p ->they work alright. Just with this scooter the grips aren't that long, so if you have big hands it may not work for you. But since this is my first electric scooter, I just got used to the twist throttle and now I dont get any cramps or anything like I did when I first start using the twist throttle. But I didn't mind using the thumb throttle adapter either I just wish my grips were longer.
r/ElectricScooters • First Thoughts on the NIU KQi 100p ->I ended up getting an niu k100p, seems to be good
r/ElectricScooters • Looking to get a scooter, I have no clue what to get, trying to be under $350 ->it says 18 but at full throttle(sport mode) it's more like 10-11. the charger is super small though so just bring it with you in a small pack like those drawstring ones, 2.5 hours of charge was all I needed to make a 12 mile round trip
r/ElectricScooters • First Thoughts on the NIU KQi 100p ->you have to drive it for at least 1/8th of a mile in e before it will unlock sport and dynamic
r/ElectricScooters • First Thoughts on the NIU KQi 100p ->None. Get a NIU 100p it's $349 and the only one worth considering at the price
r/ElectricScooters • Best scooter under $300? ->NIU 100p would be my pick under 500
r/ElectricScooters • New electric scooter under $500 ->Get a niu100p or 100f I can guarantee it'll be more reliable than this
r/ElectricScooters • Opinions on maxshot scooter ->OP, if you're gonna tell us that she's out grown a scooter and is one of the tallest in her class; her actual size would be an extremely valuable metric here for recommendations. I'd probably go the classic Niu KQI 100P recommendation; but this is highly dependent on weight. If she's around \~70lbs I'd say it'll likely have the range needed for flat park trails at moderate speeds (\~9mph-11mph). If you're going faster with lots of hills, stops and goes - you still might touch that range. Her weight and size is going to be a big factor in range.
r/ElectricScooters • My 10 year old daughter really wants an E scooter. She is saving her money and has about 500 atm. Recommendations? Wouldn't need to go much over 15mph but having a range of 15 miles or more would be awesome. ->Our roads are also pretty awful- I've yet to have any issues still. I would imagine the suspension makes it a better option than other scooters in the same price range.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I just bought the Niu kqi100F today and I can not get the Bluetooth to show in the app or on my iPhone no matter what I do. I own 2 100p's and they paired within seconds. I hate to have to take it back but I don't know what else to do
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Nothing too crazy- I'd say it's in the standard "rain" category- not a "sprinkle", but not a "downpour". I've never left it out in the rain for more than an hour at a time. Most non-school places I've brought a scooter to generally have a covered bike rack
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →If you can get a niu 100P for $200 or less it's an absolutely fantastic and well-built scooter in that price range. But I think the lowest I've seen it is $250 on sale
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I ended up getting an niu k100p, seems to be good
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I'm not dealing with the spring knocking noise. I haven't had an NIU before, but most of their other scooters are in a higher price range. It doesn't look as well built as other NIUs I see on campus... but I continue to be happy with my purchase whenever I see it next to Gotrax, HiBoy, or Ninebot models in the same price range. I really do just think it's a cost thing.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →It switches for me if I just tap the power button. Most reviews I saw stated that they had to ride it for a few minutes before they were able to switch it. I was fortunate to not have to do that, but maybe you could try riding it around for a bit to see if that changes it? I'm not sure where you're located, but it might be a feature they put in place for certain locations with stricter laws maybe?
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I can definitely see that being an issue. I appreciate how quickly people mentioned issues with height/size in the comments of this review. I'm kinda small, so it's something I probably overlooked. I often look through Reddit comments and reviews for things, so it's good for other people to know!

r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Check out the NIU K100P got it as my first scooter about 2 months ago and it feels super solid and so far no issues
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →My Sons almost 10 & when his birthday hits we're going to get him a NIU KQi100p . According to the experts it's a great first scooter & I spent months on it before feeling sure that he'd be safe on it topping off at 17mph, new it's $350 via Amazon. Last thing, P2P an electric scooter & pushing pedals on a bike are apples & oranges, something to keep in mind. My Kids gone through various types of scooters w/o a motor & rides inline, some knowledge & familiarity that will serve him well. Goodluck! P.s Get a U lock. Any lock via app really doesn't do anything. Anyone can manual reset & download once they get it home & make it theirs.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I saw that, too. I think 1/8th of a mile? I gave the scooter a test run today and got an error code, #03 - faulty throttle. I sent NIU a service request, so hopefully I get this thing fixed soon. Thanks, buddy.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →None. Get a NIU 100p it's $349 and the only one worth considering at the price
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I think the Niu kqi 100p is the better overall choice. Has better tires, better range and higher top speed.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Niu 100 scooter is a decent choice in that price range good quality
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I've posted a lot about my Apollo breaking down and looking for a new scooter. I decided to get something relatively inexpensive to use for my commute so I have time to do more adequate research into my next scooter. I went with the KQi 100p. It's REALLY new, so I was a tad skeptical, but so far I'm very pleased with it. I'd previously had a Gotrax V2 a couple years ago- unless they've improved drastically, it doesn't even compare to the NIU at the same price. Since it's so new, I haven't seen a lot about it and figured I'd give my first impression. I'm a college student and ride anywhere from 2-10 miles per day depending on what I'm doing. I've had it about a week and charged it once out of the box and again last night. I'll need to ride more to say anything meaningful about the range. Pros so far: •I like the speed- 17 mph is faster than the typical 12-15 at this price. The little extra kick makes a difference to me. •Acceleration surprised me- I'm glad I did a test ride after acclimating to the 1-3 second delay in Lime rental scooters. This shoots forward the moment you push it forward and hit the throttle. •Suspension is adequate for bumpy roads. It's no Apollo (it's a third of the price), but it's better than other scooters at this price. •IT CAN CLIMB A HILL! It slows down, but it doesn't do that "skipping" thing and you don't have to kick it. It goes up smoothly at a perfectly adequate speed. This was by far the biggest relief given how steep the roads are. •The build seems nice- the handlebars are comfortably wide, and it's tall compared to other budget scooters. I like the locking and folding mechanisms. Cons: •Sometimes it does this weird beeping thing when I try to ride it. It won't go and there's an exclamation mark on the screen. I've fixed this with a 100% success rate with the tried and true "turn it off and turn it back on" method. •The screen is on the right instead of the center. There's plenty of room at the center of the handlebars for a display. This choice was odd to me. •It feels a bit heavy for a budget scooter. Not a big deal since I'm used to an Apollo of a similar weight. •The stem is angled, and it crowds the deck. It removes about 1/3 of the leg room. I'm kinda short so it's not bad for me, but I can see this being more annoying for a bigger rider. •It decelerates quick after you release the throttle. It reminds me of how people describe going from normal car breaks to a Tesla, if that makes sense. I can't hand signal easily without it almost stopping. This is simultaneously the most annoying part of the scooter (I'm big on hand signaling) but also a feature I like since there isn't a throttle break. The cons are all things I don't find essential. The things it does well are the things that actually matter. I can carry GROCERIES up a hill without ANY struggling. It handles cracks and bumps relatively smoothly. It accelerates quickly enough for cars to not get annoyed at me. It does everything I need it to do better than anything else I've seen at this price point
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I got my 10yr old daughter an niu kqi 100p and she loves it, the app allows you to limit the max speed, acceleration, and the strength of the regenerative brakes. Just remember to put a tracking tag in the handlebars before putting the screws in! I forgot and then had to fight the loc tight... We ride together most of the time, full face helmets, she uses knee pads and elbow pads, with armored gloves (plastic knobs on the knuckles and padded hands. I wear an armored shirt under my jacket (cold right now) with built in tail bone and elbows guards, and knee plus shin guards. Actually leaving now to go for a 10+ mile ride together Oh, also, with a higher top speed she will be happy with it for a few years instead of wanting a faster one.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Me too. My guess is that the actual frame will hold up well (I lost my gotrax V2 to a heavily cracked section of pavement- I don't see this going down so easily), but I'm curious to see how the inside tech will do.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I've still yet to have any issues with it! Definitely a good deal.

I actually prefer having less weight at the expense of speed.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I'm still dealing with the beeping thing- it beeps a few times every time I turn it on. It's extremely annoying, but has done nothing to affect the functionality of the scooter, so I don't mind that much. I also haven't had time to inspect it further- the company got back to my service request and told me which parts to inspect. I probably just need to adjust something. Overall, I'm still happy with it! I've had no issues with the tires, and there generally aren't any signs of wear. It's held up to rain (though I'm normally careful to check the weather). It holds up fine going roughly 3 miles a day- I typically go anywhere between 2-5 depending on my schedule. I can't say whether the angled stem would be a dealbreaker, but I'd be cautious! I'd also take the twist throttle into consideration. I'm a full foot shorter than you with small hands and feet, so I'm able to avoid a lot of the complaints I've seen from others on the stem and throttle. I've seen some NIUs on display at a local Best Buy. If you have one nearby, I'd recommend seeing how you feel about the twist throttle. Overall, I think you're definitely getting your money's worth. I wasn't sure if the level of maintenance and repairs my Apollo required were industry standard and didn't want to spend that kind of money again (spoiler: it's not normal for a $1k scooter to break down every 3-4 months). I've had this and used it frequently for over five months now, and I've been super pleased with how it's held up for me!

r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Thank you! I'll more than likely be copping one of those center phone holders once they drop. I've been better about using the throttle- I previously had a scooter that worked differently so it was just new to me! As for the overheating, what could cause this in an air conditioned room indoors? I've only had this issue when I first turn it on to walk it to the elevator. I keep the apartment at 69, and it's had no issues in the 100+ degree climate I live in.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I've had the 100p for less than a week and as fun as it is, the max speed in mine is 10-11 mph. A coworker showed me his and it hit 17-18 mph without a problem. I've tried messing with the settings in the app and tried switched through all modes to no avail. Anyone else have this problem? Did I just get a faulty scooter?
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Isn't the KQI a pretty good one with decent speed and build? NIU gives me the impression that its a higher quality brand than Kukirin (who can't even get their naming right, Kukirin vs Kugoo Kirin, Kugoo). keep in mind there is no app for Kukirin so you aren't gonna get any OTA updates. I got a Kukirin G2 Max. The display died before even 1000km. The company sent me a new one but not before doing some tests, like reseating the connections. But the worst part was they made me open up the scooter which meant ripping up some of that rubber mat and then they wanted me to check the voltage on the battery and charger. I'm half handy so I was willing to do this, but WTF? You want a customer to check voltage with a multimeter? When I checked the charger it gave me a HUGE spark. Naw fk that. I enjoy the scooter but, the design decisions are weird. I bought new shocks so I disassembled the front. And to my surprise the bolt and the nut on the front axle don't use the same size socket! In a sense it meant that I could use a socket wrench on both sides when tightening/loosening the nut but its just weird. It made it feel like its put together with whatever parts they could find. Not sure if other scooters are like that? G2 Master would just rip with those motors. too fast for me to be comfortable on those tiny wheels.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →The Niu 100p and I'm blown away by how nice it is, all the features, and how well it rides. My neighborhood is filled with Gotrax for the most part with a few Segway Ninebots, and some Amazon specials. The Niu 100 is by far the nicest of them all. That said, what would be a next step up? Would buying something for another $200-300 be an upgrade? I'm open to any manufacturer. EDIT: I guess I probably should have given more detail. The Niu was purchased for my son. I do have the top speed and acceleration turned down.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Very weak. Look up the Ninebot F series (F25/F35), Niu KQi1, Niu KQI 100P/F.

r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I went from 100P to Engwe y600 to G3MAX to L2MAX. I would say whatever you get you are gonna want faster. Save up and buy what you think is your max speed and features. That should hold you over until the "next" scooter comes out. I thought the Niu was a nice scooter until I gradually upgraded and now I know it was entry level. Buy once, cry once ....
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →THANK YOU!!! I actually don't mind it- I like that I don't need to constantly have to use the handlebar break when I'm going down hills and such- I've just had to acclimate. It's really great to know that it's something I have control over though!
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Get a niu100p or 100f I can guarantee it'll be more reliable than this
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Haven't used that specific one but I can't say enough good things about my niu 100P and 300X. The 300x is incredibly well made and I've been using it as a daily commuter for probably 6 months or more.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →they work alright. Just with this scooter the grips aren't that long, so if you have big hands it may not work for you. r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Just received 100p, I'm unable to switch out of E mode, I can get to pedestrian or set it to dynamic in app but otherwise unable to switch drive modes...
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →**Kqi 100p** @ $400. It was originally on sale when released at around $250, so if you're not in a rush, worth waiting for possible Easter sales. It's one of the better starter rides at this price. Additionally, compared to the older Niu models, it has a load capacity of 265lbs vs 220lbs. **Segway E2 Pro** is another newer low-end option. The E series was generally pretty rubbish but this model has stepped up from its original range's metrics/quality.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Depends how much street you'll be on. My commute is 99% designated bike path so I went with basically the cheapest you can find because I didn't need 20mph. Under $300 Niu kqi 100p. I've been commuting every work week since November, rain or shine. I'm 6'1" and 165 lbs, Goes 17 mph on flat ground and up hills 9-11 depending on grade. Not the biggest battery. My commute is 5 miles and it uses 2 of the 5 battery bars. But once you get deep into 3 bars (2 bars left on display) it starts to lag on power. No complaints here.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →No that is the older model KQi1. The KQi100P and KQi100F(includes folding handlebars) are the new updated models that now include front suspension, the motor power was boosted from 250w to 300w, etc. Overall just a much better scooter. Not sure when the newer model will be on amazon.de its been out for a few months in the US, and I did see it from one seller in EU. Its still not on the EU NIU website either (https://shopeu.niu.com/) so my guess is they are still getting ready for wider EU availability. The NIU KQi3 Pro is currently on offer for €528 https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0B7P89SPZ/ that is worth considering, or take a look at the NIU KQi2, or slightly more expensive the newer NIU KQi300X https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0DGXLKH31/
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →One of the reviews I saw mentioned the scooter having a "riding limit" you have to hit before it will reach full speed. Mine didn't have this- I was kinda surprised- but I've heard of a few other people here dealing with it. I'd contact the company- they seem fairly responsive
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Keep an eye out for any cracks in the frame from where the frame tubing on both side meets the stem. The cracks will start at the welds and I believe it's due to how the stem is positioned and angled towards you when standing on the deck of the scooter. I have the 100p but other than the folding handle bars and the blinkers it's the exact same e scooter.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I'm still really happy with it! I've got a few pretty steep inclines on campus, and this handles them well. I wouldn't say there are battery issues, but I notice it tends to die pretty immediately after getting a low battery warning. This was the case with the budget scooter I had previously, I just needed to re-learn the hard way that I couldn't squeeze another half mile out of this to make it back home once it slows down. One charge lasts exactly a week so far.
