I live in Buschwick and commute to the city daily on my G2 Max scooter. It takes around 15-20minutes (buschwick to lower manhattan) Previously, I used to ride voromoters, but the G2 Max is significantly superior and more reliable compared to other scooters available in the market. G2 Max can reach speeds of up to 16-18 mph on the Williamsburg bridge, which is even faster than the Citi e-bike. I got mine for $600 from wallmart restored version.
r/ElectricScooters • Best scooter for NYC ->Okay as an multiple owner of the Kukirin G2 max + G3 pro and now I have 2 (not 1) G4 and I can tell you that the G4 (for me and my riding style) that the G4 is the best! The dual motors scooters, and the batteries do not last as long as the G4! So let's start with the quality, the quality is made very very well, just recently I was on a bike trail and about 50 kids were on the trail also heading towards me, well of course one of them wasn't paying attention and crashed their Bixie bike head on into my scooter... Not a dent not a scratch and not a wobble after it happened and he hit me pretty hard! The folding mechanism is double locked, so there is no way that that thing's going to collapse no way in hell... The suspension on it is perfect and I'm a pretty heavy guy.. the dual motor scooters have great take off yes and can ride up the hill no problem, but man do you take a hit on the battery and distance of riding... Now with you going up many Hills and whatnot of course the battery will take a hit on any scooter.. Hills and wind and weight are against you no matter what scooter 🛴 you ride.. going up hills with the G4 has never been a problem for me and I've been up some pretty steep hills, yes of course the scooter will slow down a bit but not enough to make it a problem, now as for the speed it's very fast I've gotten it up to 75 km no problem and like I said I'm a pretty heavy guy my buddy who bought the same scooter managed to get it up to 78 km an hour... So normally for easy riding I set it into second gear and set that to 30 km an hour and that'll last me 4 hours (taking breaks here and there) and about 60 something kilometers distance possibly more.... What I'm most impressed about is the distance I can ride on this thing.. it boggles my mind! Then they'll be days that I push the scooter pretty hard and ride pretty fast and it handles it like a champ... Obviously the distance will take a hit like any scooter... But one of the things that I noticed is with the dual motors like the G3 pro the battery life isn't that great! I ended up selling it to a co-worker and keeping the G4... If the battery and distance would have been better than probably I would have kept the G3 pro... The only complaint that I have about these scooters is the charging time...10 to 12 hours is a hell of a long time.. so going out and then charging it while you're out and about is not really realistic... If these things could charge faster like half way in about 4 hours then that would be fantastic... Or I wish you could hot swap batteries on the G4... That would be a game changer. The price of the G4 and the quality you get is without a doubt amazing... I'm highly highly confident that you would be happy with the G4 and it would suit your needs

I dont know how the Kukirin models are in The United States but i wouldnt reccomend the A1, i have a Kukirin g2 and it has a bigger battery, better suspension and better brakes.
r/ElectricScooters • best budget scooter? (im so broke) ->There isn't one single thing wrong with them, you could use it for years and not have an issue. But generally, when you buy a scooter with that speed, you want to make damn sure that it isn't going to break on you. This brand is known for having more issues, than say, a Segway. On the other hand, the model I have is known to have the stem break at random sooo I'm not one to talk. Just keep a close eye on it before and after your ride, and of course wear a helmet.
r/ElectricScooters • Should I invest in this scooter? ->No sorry, I meant a Max G2. There are several reports of the stem collapsing for no apparent reaeon
r/ElectricScooters • Should I invest in this scooter? ->That may be a good choice. The G2 Max is not a bad scoot either tbh, I sold a few of those under the Valiex brand, my daughter has one, it's been great, she's had it about 1.5 years. Not sure about the new G2, but it seems to be good to go. Especially for commuting. Good size battery.
r/ElectricScooters • Opinions on Caroma 850W Electric Scooter C1? ->For 400 get something better like a ninebot or save a lil more for a kukirin
r/ElectricScooters • Saw this scooter at Costco ->Ausom is just a rebranded Kukirin with better customer support F1 Max = Kukirin G2 Master
r/ElectricScooters • Best under $1500 scooter rn ->Well yeah but their G line is most reliable, so if you want to spend around hundred, you can just get a G2 max
r/ElectricScooters • Best escooters under $1,000 in Canada? ->You better off getting a g2 max or something equivalent to that zt3
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →As someone who once had a 35MPH scooter with the dual drive and the works -- get a regular "commuter" scooter and skip the power scooter. Unless you're quite handy, most of these scooters require considerable effort to repair. I'd go with a reliable brand that has you go at a reasonable speed. I used to commute 6 miles in an urban area which took me from a 30 minute commute to a 12-15 minute one. Felt worth it, and when it rained I took my car. I'd recommend the G2 Max.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Haha, same here. I was deciding between the Max G2 and the Lectric XP 3.0 for commuting. I was torn because I needed something VERY reliable, and wasn't sure if an escooter could handle the nasty roads here. I went with the Max G2, and am really glad I did. I don't think the Lectric would have held up to the abuse my G2 has gone through. After I got my Max G2, I realized a huge advantage I hadn't even considered. Electric scooters are portable/small enough to bring with you inside stores/retaurants/work/etc, and no one really cares (if they do, go somewhere else lol). Ebikes (even foldable ones) are too large/heavy to take into most places, and most won't even let you anyways. That means you have to lock it up outside, and no matter how many locks/alarms/trackers you have, there's always a chance it gets stolen. The longer you leave it, the higher the chance.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →We constantly tell people to get brand-name scooters instead of knockoffs and parts-bins, but while for low-tier scooters this is often understood, mid- to high-tier scooters have the problem that brand-name stuff gets really expensive. This prompts a lot of people to get, say, Kukirins instead of Dualtrons. Our stance about those tends to be that they might be decent value for money, but only on the condition that the user can do maintenance and fixes. If nothing else, mid-tier generics and near-generics tend to be *somewhat* better built than [the *real* cheapies](https://reddit.com/r/ElectricScooters/comments/1gtbsr2/cheap_m365_knockoffs_currently_being_discounted/), so we don't feel so alarmed about them. There's not a lot more that we can do; markets have their trends, and the push toward the bottom has existed in every product line ever. That's how cheap products even exist at all, though of course there's almost always a compromise in quality. Some people get this and accept the tradeoff; some get it and decide for a higher quality scooter; others don't get it at all and then complain that their Kukirin has a bolt loose and they don't know how to screw it back in.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Isn't the KQI a pretty good one with decent speed and build? NIU gives me the impression that its a higher quality brand than Kukirin (who can't even get their naming right, Kukirin vs Kugoo Kirin, Kugoo). keep in mind there is no app for Kukirin so you aren't gonna get any OTA updates. I got a Kukirin G2 Max. The display died before even 1000km. The company sent me a new one but not before doing some tests, like reseating the connections. But the worst part was they made me open up the scooter which meant ripping up some of that rubber mat and then they wanted me to check the voltage on the battery and charger. I'm half handy so I was willing to do this, but WTF? You want a customer to check voltage with a multimeter? When I checked the charger it gave me a HUGE spark. Naw fk that. I enjoy the scooter but, the design decisions are weird. I bought new shocks so I disassembled the front. And to my surprise the bolt and the nut on the front axle don't use the same size socket! In a sense it meant that I could use a socket wrench on both sides when tightening/loosening the nut but its just weird. It made it feel like its put together with whatever parts they could find. Not sure if other scooters are like that? G2 Master would just rip with those motors. too fast for me to be comfortable on those tiny wheels.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Ausom and Kukirin rebrand the same escooters.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I had to make the same decision and went with the max g2 and I am happy with the decision. I was torn between it and the babymaker 2 bike.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →The kukirins are great, I have the G2 and I love it. The G3 got a facelift model recently, so idk if it's a good scooter now, because the old version wasn't great as far as I know. G2 Max is also very good, but it's larger. Please take in to consideration the weight of the scooter , especially if you climb stairs every day. Also how much do you weight and do you climb hills on your commute?
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Obviously depends on what you want for speed/range. Assuming 20mph and like 20 mi range, for 3-500, I cant really think of many commuter EUCs. I do know that for that price range you can find a lot of decent used scooters and sk8s online. Personally before I got an euc, I got a kukirin g2 max (scooter) for 400 which I commuted 12 mi round trip with. I would say get a scooter cuz its safer for commuting and will give you better bang for $ in that price range. Plus you can do wheelies
r/ElectricUnicycle • View on Reddit →Mate, get yourself a Kukirin G2 Max for €700 or the Master for €900. Hell, you could even just get the G2 pro for just over €500.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Dualtron 2000 euro kukirin is the half of this price , now the more Chinese companies go to scooters dualtron will disappear if the prices stay so high
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →For the price you should check out the Ausom L1 or KuKirin G2! I'd say the L1 has a better frame, better headlight, louder horn and more features such as NFC card locking. The G2 on the other hand is more popular and has better brakes. They're both very good value and have the same exact power, speed and battery capacity. Have fun!
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →NIU have bad quality imo, Apollo is also bad quality with lots of snapped stems. The dualtron you mentioned isn't what you'd expect from the company so wouldn't recommend it. The others I've had no experience with or I don't know enough about to recommend. If you have Apache over there the pro edition is good for the price, with a little caveat the battery brace is sharp on my friend's one will need filing down and some foam to protect the battery. I would recommend the Kukirin G2 however there is currently a stock shortage.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →For the price it's okay if you do maintenance and take care of them they can last. I am on my 5th scooter I have owned being a disabled vet on a budget I always tried to get the most I could get for the least I could spend. I was due for a new ride so this time I decided I was going to save a little while longer And after owning a Kugoo a Kukrin and Emanba and an Arwibon which all lasted okay. But this time I saved a little bit more money and picked up a Teverun Fighter Mini Pro and damn I wish I had taken all the money from the other scooters and picked up a scooter like this before. The build quality and ride just everything in general is a completely different thing. My last scooter was actually a little faster but the quality of the ride makes it just feels so much safer at higher speeds.ibam not saying spend the $2k I spent on them is one there are other models like Blade mini pro and ultra that are basically the same scooter just without a few bells and whistles like built in GPS. It was the first Teverun I had ever road and even being a 10 inch it actually feels more like a solid motorcycle ride then a cheaper scooter with the KKE ajustable shocks. The Joyer is okay but honestly if your going to spend the around $800 if I remember correctly save for a few more months over the winter if you can you up to the $1200-1500 level you can get a scooter that is literally twice the quality. I look at this way in all the AliExpress scooters i bought after 1.5-2 years you end up needing to replace the battery and they usually start looking a little ruff I was told buy a couple other guys that have this scooter and a similar one that the Samsung battery in there's was going on 3 years with almost no voltage sag. Just my opinion not putting anyone's scooters down I loved my Arwibon GT08 but honestly I didn't know what I was missing. That's just my experience spending a ton of money on scooters over the years. https://preview.redd.it/za7vy67ga6rf1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6fe1df032e485b2245d218bf817dfdf1503822e7
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Just as long as you know the tradeoffs and are prepared to maintain and fix it yourself. We don't have a problem with people who understand this part of the bargain - I should know, as I'm one of them - we're just pissed at those who buy with no understanding of anything and often without having done a whit of research, then come here to complain that their parts-bin scooter needs some basic repair they don't know how to perform.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I had the g2 max for over 2 years and it's really an awesome value
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I own both kukirin is very good with the latest scooter with quality you stay to behind to check them out
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Expensive without reason kukirin is the king
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →There is no trade-off between speed and reliability. A dependable scooter is a dependable scooter. If you have one that doesn't work every time you turn it on, then you bought the wrong one. As far as rain, you better have pneumatic tires. Outside of that, I wouldn't leave anything out in the rain that cost as much as scooters do. Now, are you talking about the MaxG2, or the G2Max? One is Segway, one is Kukirin. The Kukirin is around $780. The Kukirin G2Max, although it's only a 48volt, advertises a top end at 35mph and 50 mile range. You're in the game with that. I've never owned a Kukirin, but those are the specs of a respectable beginner scooter. You'll be able to ride that for a couple years before you start looking to upgrade. 35 mph is that first swert spot. Can't you finance, though? Is your credit trash? Because a couple hundred down and you can have a nice vehicle for less than $50/month. You're downplaying the speed aspect rn because 1. you appear to be new to this and 2. your priority is budget, i get it. But unless you're a 12 yr old or a girl, 18-22 mph will be frustrating after about 2 months. Im a grown ass adult with a 10 yr old daughter saying this. Which means if you're in your early 20s or close to that, you'll get frustrated at that speed even sooner. If I was that age theres no way I would be satisfied riding at that speed. It's just a means, theres no FUN at 20 mph. Plus, once you start riding you meet other riders. Riding in a group is fun asf. Unless everyone else is on.Dualtrons and Vsettes and you're on your low end thingy doing 20. That will be them last time.they invite you to ride w them, frfr.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Keep in mind at least kukirin is a bit honest about their rain test estimates where it is may be 150 pound rider at around 15 mph and you will get that range on flat Road. Xiaomi is actually on crack when they do their range estimates. Barely 100 pound rider going maybe 10 mph especially on their scooters that have a top speed above 15 mph.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Tbh get a max G2, it's a great mid tier scooter that me as a beginner learned on, 22 mph is as mid as you can get. It's been my tank for 2 years. I don't have a license so it's my daily driver. Best investment for me ever.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →They guarantee Kukirin for half or a quarter as long. With normal brands, you can find scooters that have done 10,000 km and only cost two tyre changes. You don't have to keep it alive with constant repairs.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →given all the ones with serious bad bolts, i would suggest against kukirin like serious death traps imo, i'm not against the brand but they'd have to replace all bolts with proper steel ones before i'd get near Any of them.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Yeah, I upgraded from a G2 Max - I had planned on eventually upgrading to a G3 but couldn't say no to that price. It was still a bit of a gamble since it could have been a return and not a damaged box, but luckily it worked out. I figure the deal will replicate again - mostly cause they probably don't want those huge boxes sitting around in their warehouses.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →no don't get this brand, try kukirin
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →It's an amazing scooter, just get. You'll be very happy. Trolls are spreading sh*t about KuKirin because they overpaid 3-4 times for equivalent scooter or bought a kid's toy Ninebot with 350W motor and they're sad. Get the KuKirin, bro, amazing brand and very reliable.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →The Max G2 or ZT3 pro if you can find them for under $800. Both have surprisingly tall handlebars, measured from the deck. Should be more than suitable for your height. There's not many scooters that have taller handlebars, let alone in this price range
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →I have both the ZT3 and Max G2. The G2 feels like a toy after riding the ZT3. I really like the ZT3. It handles well, feels much more stable than the G2, and I like the wider body which makes it much more comfortable to ride. At $850 on sale right now it's a really great deal.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →Yeah definitely it's just that kukirins are allergic to rain and high pressure water so be careful with those and they should treat you well. Remember to wear proper safety gear when you get one
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →If you can push your budget, something like that kukirin g2 or similar might do the trick. Because depending on the hill, you're basically gonna want dual motors. I'm 245lbs now but when I was 280ish I struggled even with a scooter that was single motor and around 1000watts. I'm also 6 foot two. And at 6 foot five you may want something that has a standard handlebar and a stem mount. That means you would be able to use a bicycle, stem razor that would essentially allow you to increase the height of the handlebars by 2 to 4 inches which would make a lot more comfortable to ride without feeling like you're riding a kids scooter. I did that and I'm only 6ft 2in. So I think that's something you would definitely benefit from. It sucks but at your weight. You really want something heavier duty. You gotta remember that a lot of the cheaper scooters were tested using Asian people which are typically closer between 100 and 150 pounds. An idea of what you might consider https://ausomstore.com/products/ausom-dt2-pro-e-scooter
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →G2 Max is alright, but you want dual motor for your weight/going uphill. Dual 500w motors will produce TWICE as much torque as a single 1000w motor. Torque is the "twisting force" of the motor, which is what gets you up hills and makes it easier to move more weight. A bike/car has gears to make more torque. Escooters use direct-drive hub motors, so the only way to get more torque is with more power(watts), or use dual motors. The G3 Pro has 2x 1200w vs 1x 1000w on the G2 Max. That's *2.4x the power, and 4.8x the torque!!!**
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →just buy a kukirin or a joyor (i have a joyor and i really recomand it, but i still recommend it the chiose is yours) and there arent name on them e scooters and low-quallity battery can blow-up and i not recomand it buying it!
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →You can't make a reliable and durable scooter for very little money. Kukirin is a good example. They skimp on quality and reliability, not on marketing.
r/ElectricScooters • View on Reddit →It's a slightly better Max G2. Only downside is you can't mod it with custom firmware (yet). It's a great scooter for the price.
