I like Bunn coffee machines. I bought one at a restaurant supply store. It's still making coffee somewhere :-)
r/BuyItForLife • Coffee machine for life? (or at least a few years) ->These are absolutely rock solid and I'm a huge coffee snob. Personally I'm gonna rock the commercial grade Bunn and sink $ into a new grinder but good stuff
r/BuyItForLife • Ok, so we bit the bullet... You guys were right. ☕ ☕ ->1-2 pots a day get a mocamaster. They go on sale I think I got mine for 170 2 years ago. I got the thermal carafe one and just take the pot to my desk in the morning. A gripe I have is I have to fill it to the absolute brim to get 3 normal coffee cup out of each pot. If your household drinks a lot of coffee (4+ a day), get a used commercial BUNN. Those things will not only last decades but make really good coffee. The non commercial one is kind of meh. These are the best for cheapish coffee (Folgers, Maxwell House) but also better grounds. My personal preference is like BUNN made coffee better for daily drinking as I'm also a cheap ass and only use the good coffee 1-2x a week.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->Bummer. my gramma was the same way and absolutely adored her [bunn machine](https://www.amazon.com/BUNN-Velocity-Brew-Coffee-Brewer/dp/B07CVN81DQ). dead simple: add coffee, add water, ready in three minutes. i know for a fact she had one last 20+ years before retiring. eta: there are no electronics. no timer, no programming, just add water and turn on.
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best no-frills coffee maker? ->Not exactly cheap but I would get a Bunn. They are amazing, simple to use and built to last. They really only 2 buttons and one stays on. The other is the hot plate.
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best no-frills coffee maker? ->My biggest gripe about the Bunn machines is that it keeps the water constantly hot. I do not like that. I know they are rather efficient, but I dont like the idea of the heater running all the time. Ive had them at work, and they are awesome for big offices who drink lots of coffee. For one pot of coffee in the morning, its overkill for my use .
r/BuyItForLife • Drip Coffee Maker - Time for a new one ->forever missing my bunn velocity brew
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best coffee maker you guys have used?? ->Yes! I went through two Bunns over the years. They are fast and reliable machines and last forever. (Unfortunately, both of mine got farmed OVERNIGHT by tiny ants when it got cold out.)
r/homeowners • What's the best coffee makers for saving money instead of buying daily coffee out? ->not a coffee expert here. but my old bunn commercial drip has been doing fine for 20 years, theyre pricey from a restaurant supply company but if you can track down a used one at a decent price theyre nice to have, its commercial grade so literally everything on it is replaceable, heating element, sensors, switches, hot plates all of it is readily available. mine is plumbed into the water supply, so just grind the beans dump them into the filter basket and hit the button, 3 minutes later fresh coffee. mine has a 2nd warmer on top so it can keep 2 pots going for large gatherings. does need taken apart and cleaned on occasion to deal with the limewater scaling and couple of pots of vinegar run thru it to get it back to top form. if you are using water thru a softnening system that gets cut back dramatically, way less minerals to build up in your coffeemaker.
r/BuyItForLife • What is the Best Coffee Makers on the Market? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

My husband got me hookes on a BUNN coffee maker. Imo it makes a really good cup of coffee and is comparable to my French press that we use when the power goes out.
r/BuyItForLife • What's the best no-frills coffee maker? ->My Bunn is over 20 years old. I use it everyday. Someone gave me their Bunn when they moved so I have a back-up waiting in the attic if I ever need to replace mine. I love that the hot plate is a separate button. I make iced coffee everyday so the coffee will brew even if the hot plate is off. I let it cool in the pot for several hours before putting it in the fridge with no need to remember to turn the hot plate off.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →EDIT to clarify: I have a v60. My husband and I drink very different beans, and he'd prefer an automatic single cup or tiny pot coffee maker like this. However, comments have some good ideas to consider. Just wanted to clarify : TLDR After a few years, **the Bunn MyCafe coffee maker forcefully ejects the little drawer with hot coffee grounds, causing it to fly across the room** \- almost hitting my baby or kids. Delicious coffee is not worth this risk. Is there another single cup brewer option that isn't K Cup? I first got a Bunn MyCafe circa 2015 after seeing the love for Bunn here. It did brew a killer single cup of drip coffee, using my grounds and no annoying K-Cups or pods. However, after 3 years it started ejecting the drawer of hot coffee grounds across the kitchen, almost hitting my baby. Bunn said it was odd, and replaced our machine. When it happened with the replacement, we ditched it. Bunn paused production, so we figured they fixed the problem. When MyCafe was back in production we ordered a new one (2 years ago). Despite cleaning and maintaining / descaling regularly, it's started ejecting the hot coffee drawer again. (See photos) We contacted Bunn, and they said we need to clean our screen in the drawer. (We do.) They sent us a new screen but it still does this. I can't believe the company is comfortable selling a machine that will begin to do such a dangerous thing after a few years of daily use. It seems unsafe, unconscionable, and certainly NOT BIFL. I do pourover, but others in my family do not. I'm hoping to find a single cup brewer that is safer than this Bunn mess.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I have a Bunn that I got as a wedding gift 17 years ago. It's basically a smaller model of the ones that diners use. It's got a reservoir where water is kept at the correct temp, and it's gravity fed...so when you pour in more cold water and close the lid, the hot water immediately starts flowing out over your beans. Makes a full pot in just a few minutes. It's not programmable or any of that, it's just simple and reliable.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →How is this the only mention of Bunn in this whole thread, simple, reliable, no worries or fancy bs just works for years and years.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Buy a Bunn. Low tech, not much to it, and great coffee in 3 minutes.
r/enshittification • View on Reddit →I own a lot of coffee machines. The absolute best that I own that is simple is the Ratio 8. But it's expensive. The second best that I own is the Gevi 4 in 1, but it is also expensive and really difficult to program. The 3rd best is the Aiden. Tied for fourth is the Moccamasters and the Bunn. I have others as week, but I think these are the ones worth mentioning.
r/JamesHoffmann • View on Reddit →In my 30 years of having my own stuff, I only recall a Bunn crapping out, and that was after 3 or 4 years. I think my current Mr Coffee is 10 years old. That said, I did go nuts and buy a Moccamaster during the prime sale.. but I am dabbling in the good coffee experience, but only on the weekends. My weekday go juice comes out of the Mr Coffee because we don't have time to weigh beans and the hand grinder.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →We've owned our Bunn for about 20 years. I had to take it apart and replace a fuse once but I consider being able to do repairs still "buy it for life" It keeps the water at the appropriate temperature, like OPs machine. Takes up a lot less counter space.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →A regular Bunn coffee maker is plenty you do not need the professional one. I have my Bunn coffee maker for yrs. It makes great coffee and it takes 2 min for a full pot. I love mine.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Once I discovered carafe's I never went back. The Bunn I use my coffee is still drinkable and hot several hours later.
r/Coffee • View on Reddit →This seems awfully fancy for "no frills". We have a Bunn O Matic commercial that will outlive me. Only downside is that they are always on, so if you don't put a timer on it you will use a lot of electricity. Upside is that you can even plumb in the fresh water supply if you like.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Get online and buy a used Bunn single [I forget the term- portion, burner, plate, carafe] coffee maker. American drip coffee exactly the kind that restaurants use. Powerful and will last forever.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I second this. Always look to the commercial products. Simple, less buttons and less electronic circuitry to short and fail. Our Bunn at my 24/7 workplace sees multiple pots per day over three shifts. Still going strong for the over 20 years I've been here.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →No, I run vinegar through like once per year.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Bunn without a doubt. Makes amazing coffee also
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Well, the amount of coffee and the grind size that people like are subjective, hat works for one may not work for another and that's OK. The reason that Bunn has different sprayheads, is because people who used fine grinds would overflow the basket when making 8-10 cups of coffee (because of the speed of the brew, the basket would fill up with water), so they slowed the process. That's why I called them about the issue and was sent a different sprayhead which worked out great. There are many coffee forums on the web, and that's where I first heard about that issue maybe 10 years ago. Really hard for me to believe that you use a fine grind, tamp it down (like I do), that it's still a fast brew, and that you need to use more coffee. That goes opposite everything I know about this brewer, but I guess to each its own. It's not rocket science, it's just making a drink. As long as you enjoy it, that's all that counts.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Bunn. I think we are on our 2nd or 3rd one in about 30 years. They're even somewhat repairable.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I rinse my carafe and basket most days, maybe actually wash them once a week. I run vinegar through the machine once a year, tops. That's about as low maintenance as it gets.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →A Bunn- reliable, simple, and makes great coffee
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I got my husband a Bunn several years ago, which I think was ~$90. It's awesome. Coffee in like 4 minutes is awesome. We run vinegar or citric acid through it every few months to keep it clean.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Had a couple Bunn, loved the speed of them, but it isn't bifl or at least not for me. Also if you don't brew a pot every day the water will evaporate and you end up with stronger than normal, smaller batch of coffee. Been using a Mr Coffee for years, it does what it does, just slower than a Bunn due to no preheated water on standby. Recently bought a Moccamaster but it my weekend car, so to speak. Been buying fresh roaster beans just for it and experiment with the expensive stuff. Our weekday go juice is pre ground Starbucks French roast in the Mr Coffee. Our
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I have a Bunn coffee maker and make either a half or full pot depending on the days plan. If I'm going to work I make a half pot and it all goes into the thremos. If I'm staying home I make a full pot because I'm Lorelai Gilmore when it comes to coffee. I have a Bunn because it keeps a tank of water hot and makes a full pot in 3 minutes. The pot is insulated instead of a burner so it doesn't turn into mud when it sits.
r/LivingAlone • View on Reddit →Anything really, unless you want a fast-brewing drip maker that will last forever (if so, buy a Bunn). Edit: spelling
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →One thing to consider about the Bunn-we use more coffee grounds to get the strength we want than we do with a typical drip coffee maker because the water flow is much faster. It adds up fairly quickly (I got the Bunn for $5 and love the convenience of it so it's hard for me to let go.)
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Bunn, not cheap, but last m8nes going on 15 or 16 years.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I had a Bunn coffee maker many years ago and I loved it. Had it for a long time but not my entire life
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Bunn is great and 1/3 the price of the Moccamaster
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Bunn. No button gimmick. Pour the water in and it brews. One button to turn it off and on. That's it.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →We got our Bunn as a wedding present 12 years ago and I love it. We make 10 cups a day every day and sometimes more so I'm estimating it has made 2,000 gallons of coffee. It brews faster and quieter than regular coffee pots, and I feel like it tastes better because the water isn't quite as hot. It has two switches, which i rarely ever touch. One is to turn the tank heater off if you go on vacation, and one is the hot plate.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I love my Bunn! I'm not a coffee snob, but I think it tastes pretty good! I use a burr grinder and whenever I splurge on nice beans it makes a fantastic cup (and an otherwise really good cup when I use my go to Costco beans). Also, in response to the other commenter saying not to get one because it's always on: yeah it is but it's also in an insulated tank so it doesn't use much energy to stay warm. I only turn mine off if I'm going out of town and won't use it for more than a day or two.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →How about a Bunn? No frills, no clocks or timers, and brews 10 cups in 3 minutes.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →This is the answer. Unless you're some kind of coffee aficionado, it's exactly what you need. Lasts a long time and repairable too. I had one finally tap out at probably 20 years old recently and I bought another one. Kept the old one for parts.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →The Bunn is the best coffeemaker I've ever had, and maybe user error is the problem. I use less coffee, not more. If it's too fast for you, the grind is too coarse. Using a coarse grind, you'd have to use more coffee. Use a finer grind, or call Bunn and they will send you, for free, a different sprayhead. You just unscrew the black sprayhead that came with it and replace it with one with less holes so the water flow is slower. I have a number of different sprayheads that Bunn sent me for free. I mostly grind my own beans and use a different sprayhead for packaged preground coffee than I use for whole beans that I grind.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Bunn Velocity. 1 button. Keeps a pot of hot water on demand. It's not gonna last a lifetime but my last one lasted 10 years with daily use.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Get a Bunn coffee maker. Nothing compares to it..
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I get about 10 years out of my Bunn machines, hot , delicious and ready in 2 minutes. Think I'm on my fourth and I'm 66. They're around $100. The only reason they break is if I forget to shut off when I'm out of town and the water inside dries up, I think.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I love our basic Bunn. No frills, fast. It basically keeps one full pot near ready to brew, you add a new pot full of water, close the lid and you have coffee in minutes. It's a little more expensive than the cheap ones, but they last forever
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →They're very simple and replacement parts are available. We had to get a new one after our 15-20 year-old one finally died (melted plastic around a seal). Keeping it around for spare parts.
