Bunn - Speed Brew Elite (CSB2B)

I love my Bunn! I'm not a coffee snob, but I think it tastes pretty good! I use a burr grinder and whenever I splurge on nice beans it makes a fantastic cup (and an otherwise really good cup when I use my go to Costco beans). Also, in response to the other commenter saying not to get one because it's always on: yeah it is but it's also in an insulated tank so it doesn't use much energy to stay warm. I only turn mine off if I'm going out of town and won't use it for more than a day or two.

Bunn, not cheap, but last m8nes going on 15 or 16 years.

I have the bunn speedbrew. It's always on. Add grounds, add water, close lid. Make sure the carafe is in place because it's already making coffee. It does not make *great* coffee like the moccamaster. But if you buy bulk or semi-bulk coffee, you probably don't need that. I run a variety of heb grounds through mine successfully.

I have a Bunn that I got as a wedding gift 17 years ago. It's basically a smaller model of the ones that diners use. It's got a reservoir where water is kept at the correct temp, and it's gravity fed...so when you pour in more cold water and close the lid, the hot water immediately starts flowing out over your beans. Makes a full pot in just a few minutes. It's not programmable or any of that, it's just simple and reliable.

Get online and buy a used Bunn single [I forget the term- portion, burner, plate, carafe] coffee maker. American drip coffee exactly the kind that restaurants use. Powerful and will last forever.

Well, the amount of coffee and the grind size that people like are subjective, hat works for one may not work for another and that's OK. The reason that Bunn has different sprayheads, is because people who used fine grinds would overflow the basket when making 8-10 cups of coffee (because of the speed of the brew, the basket would fill up with water), so they slowed the process. That's why I called them about the issue and was sent a different sprayhead which worked out great. There are many coffee forums on the web, and that's where I first heard about that issue maybe 10 years ago. Really hard for me to believe that you use a fine grind, tamp it down (like I do), that it's still a fast brew, and that you need to use more coffee. That goes opposite everything I know about this brewer, but I guess to each its own. It's not rocket science, it's just making a drink. As long as you enjoy it, that's all that counts.

Buy a Bunn. Low tech, not much to it, and great coffee in 3 minutes.

I got my husband a Bunn several years ago, which I think was ~$90. It's awesome. Coffee in like 4 minutes is awesome. We run vinegar or citric acid through it every few months to keep it clean.

A regular Bunn coffee maker is plenty you do not need the professional one. I have my Bunn coffee maker for yrs. It makes great coffee and it takes 2 min for a full pot. I love mine.

I have a Bunn Thermal. It's 15 years old. Same Bunn coffeemaker with a thermos pot so the coffee stays hot and doesn't burn. It makes great coffee consistently and fast.

We got our Bunn as a wedding present 12 years ago and I love it. We make 10 cups a day every day and sometimes more so I'm estimating it has made 2,000 gallons of coffee. It brews faster and quieter than regular coffee pots, and I feel like it tastes better because the water isn't quite as hot. It has two switches, which i rarely ever touch. One is to turn the tank heater off if you go on vacation, and one is the hot plate.

How is this the only mention of Bunn in this whole thread, simple, reliable, no worries or fancy bs just works for years and years.

I had a Bunn coffee maker many years ago and I loved it. Had it for a long time but not my entire life

I get about 10 years out of my Bunn machines, hot , delicious and ready in 2 minutes. Think I'm on my fourth and I'm 66. They're around $100. The only reason they break is if I forget to shut off when I'm out of town and the water inside dries up, I think.

I rinse my carafe and basket most days, maybe actually wash them once a week. I run vinegar through the machine once a year, tops. That's about as low maintenance as it gets.

Bunn. I think we are on our 2nd or 3rd one in about 30 years. They're even somewhat repairable.

Yes keep them separate, look into the Bunn speed brew with thermal carafe for a brewer. Keeps water at the right temperature and brews quickly.

Get a Bunn coffee maker. Nothing compares to it..

Also not a snob, and my family has used a Bunn my whole life. I prefer the Bunn with a thermal carafe for daily use. Coffee stays fresh and hot for hours and is acceptable as iced coffee the next day if you don't finish the pot. Until very recently I used one that was maybe 20 years old and had repaired it two or three times (~$10 kit on eBay). I'm 33 and that was the second Bunn my parents had owned in my lifetime. One day they told me they were getting rid of it because it didn't work and had already gotten a new one so I took it. It was an easy fix. Eventually some plastic parts broke while I had guests staying over, and I finally bought a new one to solve my lack-of-coffee problem quickly. The new one delivers the same consistent pots as ol' faithful.

Bunn. No button gimmick. Pour the water in and it brews. One button to turn it off and on. That's it.

I own a lot of coffee machines. The absolute best that I own that is simple is the Ratio 8. But it's expensive. The second best that I own is the Gevi 4 in 1, but it is also expensive and really difficult to program. The 3rd best is the Aiden. Tied for fourth is the Moccamasters and the Bunn. I have others as week, but I think these are the ones worth mentioning.
