Bunn - Pour-O-Matic 2-Burner

Yes! I went through two Bunns over the years. They are fast and reliable machines and last forever. (Unfortunately, both of mine got farmed OVERNIGHT by tiny ants when it got cold out.)

I like Bunn coffee machines. I bought one at a restaurant supply store. It's still making coffee somewhere :-)

These are absolutely rock solid and I'm a huge coffee snob. Personally I'm gonna rock the commercial grade Bunn and sink $ into a new grinder but good stuff

not a coffee expert here. but my old bunn commercial drip has been doing fine for 20 years, theyre pricey from a restaurant supply company but if you can track down a used one at a decent price theyre nice to have, its commercial grade so literally everything on it is replaceable, heating element, sensors, switches, hot plates all of it is readily available. mine is plumbed into the water supply, so just grind the beans dump them into the filter basket and hit the button, 3 minutes later fresh coffee. mine has a 2nd warmer on top so it can keep 2 pots going for large gatherings. does need taken apart and cleaned on occasion to deal with the limewater scaling and couple of pots of vinegar run thru it to get it back to top form. if you are using water thru a softnening system that gets cut back dramatically, way less minerals to build up in your coffeemaker.

Not exactly cheap but I would get a Bunn. They are amazing, simple to use and built to last. They really only 2 buttons and one stays on. The other is the hot plate.

Once I discovered carafe's I never went back. The Bunn I use my coffee is still drinkable and hot several hours later.

My Bunn is over 20 years old. I use it everyday. Someone gave me their Bunn when they moved so I have a back-up waiting in the attic if I ever need to replace mine. I love that the hot plate is a separate button. I make iced coffee everyday so the coffee will brew even if the hot plate is off. I let it cool in the pot for several hours before putting it in the fridge with no need to remember to turn the hot plate off.

Well, the amount of coffee and the grind size that people like are subjective, hat works for one may not work for another and that's OK. The reason that Bunn has different sprayheads, is because people who used fine grinds would overflow the basket when making 8-10 cups of coffee (because of the speed of the brew, the basket would fill up with water), so they slowed the process. That's why I called them about the issue and was sent a different sprayhead which worked out great. There are many coffee forums on the web, and that's where I first heard about that issue maybe 10 years ago. Really hard for me to believe that you use a fine grind, tamp it down (like I do), that it's still a fast brew, and that you need to use more coffee. That goes opposite everything I know about this brewer, but I guess to each its own. It's not rocket science, it's just making a drink. As long as you enjoy it, that's all that counts.

This is the answer. Unless you're some kind of coffee aficionado, it's exactly what you need. Lasts a long time and repairable too. I had one finally tap out at probably 20 years old recently and I bought another one. Kept the old one for parts.

Bunn. I think we are on our 2nd or 3rd one in about 30 years. They're even somewhat repairable.

I have a Bunn that I got as a wedding gift 17 years ago. It's basically a smaller model of the ones that diners use. It's got a reservoir where water is kept at the correct temp, and it's gravity fed...so when you pour in more cold water and close the lid, the hot water immediately starts flowing out over your beans. Makes a full pot in just a few minutes. It's not programmable or any of that, it's just simple and reliable.

The Bunn is the best coffeemaker I've ever had, and maybe user error is the problem. I use less coffee, not more. If it's too fast for you, the grind is too coarse. Using a coarse grind, you'd have to use more coffee. Use a finer grind, or call Bunn and they will send you, for free, a different sprayhead. You just unscrew the black sprayhead that came with it and replace it with one with less holes so the water flow is slower. I have a number of different sprayheads that Bunn sent me for free. I mostly grind my own beans and use a different sprayhead for packaged preground coffee than I use for whole beans that I grind.

I love my Bunn! I'm not a coffee snob, but I think it tastes pretty good! I use a burr grinder and whenever I splurge on nice beans it makes a fantastic cup (and an otherwise really good cup when I use my go to Costco beans). Also, in response to the other commenter saying not to get one because it's always on: yeah it is but it's also in an insulated tank so it doesn't use much energy to stay warm. I only turn mine off if I'm going out of town and won't use it for more than a day or two.

No experience with the brands you referenced. But I'll always suggest a Bunn drip coffee maker.

Bunn. No button gimmick. Pour the water in and it brews. One button to turn it off and on. That's it.

I love our basic Bunn. No frills, fast. It basically keeps one full pot near ready to brew, you add a new pot full of water, close the lid and you have coffee in minutes. It's a little more expensive than the cheap ones, but they last forever

A regular Bunn coffee maker is plenty you do not need the professional one. I have my Bunn coffee maker for yrs. It makes great coffee and it takes 2 min for a full pot. I love mine.

I rinse my carafe and basket most days, maybe actually wash them once a week. I run vinegar through the machine once a year, tops. That's about as low maintenance as it gets.

Obviously the win goes to Moccamaster. And while I've never measured one, they look too tall to make them practical. Not to mention expensive. We've used Bunn for at least 30 years (not the same unit), and feel very comfortable recommending them.
