FITCAMX dashcam (looks like it belongs to the car) Also bought a wireless AirPlay dongle, worked well BUT: my Waze navigation did not display in the instrument cluster, so had to ditch it :(
r/VolvoXC90 • The best xc90 mods I have made so far has to be the dash cam and the wireless receiver for the phone, how about you? What mods made your experience better? ->Rear cam looks ugly tho
r/ram_trucks • Any good dash cams that connect into this cigarette lighter? ->It was a bit challenging to install and get all the cables back in the right place. Downloading videos isn’t straightforward. But once installed you don’t notice it, and the video quality is good enough. I would buy it again.
r/rav4prime • can anyone share their experiences with the front FITCAMX 4k dash cam? ->FitCamX. Install is pretty easy and it integrates very well. I have one on my 2022 and it works well. It’s interface to connect a phone to it to download videos is a bit clunky (it creates its own WiFi hotspot that you connect to), but you can always just pull the SD card to download videos if needed.
r/Polestar • Dash Cam ->This is the way! I installed it on my 24 night edition with the rear camera option. Have had it about a year now. No complaints
r/HyundaiPalisade • Installing a Dash Cam ->I've been using it in my 2023 Hyundai Kona for a few months now, good video quality and loving the integrated look! Download speeds in the app is low, but i just remove the SD card and plug it into my computer for export. Highly recommend.
r/F150Lightning • Is anyone using fitcamx dashcam ->We got an integrated dashcam for my wife's bolt. We replaced the stick-on dashcam. The installation was much easier than I thought it was gonna be. you pop out the original plastic cover, connect the plug and play harness and push the new dashcam integrated cover on and done. I am not sure I am allowed to post a link so I am just gonna put it in the comment.
r/BoltEV • Bolt Integrated Dashcam ->Better than the stick on one I got. It's clear at night and day. No complaints so far. Loop recording at 3mins. But I did change out the tf card though, I didn't want the card to go corrupt.
r/BoltEV • Bolt Integrated Dashcam ->Fitcamx all day long. I do have an extra one to sell if you want.
r/ram_trucks • Dash cam suggestions? ->I've had mine installed for a year and no battery draining issues. I even have the rear cam option and it doesn't cause battery draining issues
r/Supra • GR Supra Dash Cam ->I have the front only and the standard setup was easy. I believe you can wire it in to your fuse box in order to allow it to record even while the car is off in the event of a crash but that seemed more than I needed
r/bronco • Fitxcam dash cam ->Yes that is my suspicion. Very good idea, would like to see the three options side by side in identical situations And my review is by no means slandering the camera, it's OEM nature and easy WiFi control is fantastic. Just there is no reason to pay extra for the 4k or even 1440p if it turns out the 1080p is identical
r/Polestar • View on Reddit →fitcamx. see if they have a version for your car. it's sick.
r/WindowTint • View on Reddit →Yessss this one I love mine and it just is seamless
r/BMW • View on Reddit →FitcamX easy install and super low profile
r/VWiD4Owners • View on Reddit →I’ve used fitcamx on my last 3 cars. No issues so far.
r/BMWI4 • View on Reddit →i second this, pretty straight forward to install too.
r/PorscheMacan • View on Reddit →As far as parking, plenty of use cases, two of which I've personally experienced: people backing up into your vehicle while you're parked. My wife had a literal NUN back into her vehicle, multiple times, tons of damage, Austin Powered back and forth a few times, then drove away and found a different spot. Camera footage was the only way they could prove it was the nun (she was literally in a habit, and doddering through the Barnes & Noble when the police caught up to her, just going about her business). "Oh me, oh my...are you sure you have the right person? \*nuns\*" Hit and run is a great reason for parking cam. But I do agree, I would only do it with an intelligent external battery.
r/MachE • View on Reddit →I purchased this one and installed it in my 2026 Corolla Hybrid. Works very well. Definitely recommend. https://a.co/d/4gae8Qs
r/COROLLA • View on Reddit →Oh, on their web-site, it says that when the vehicle is locked, it turns off. So this is not a "sentry mode" option. Any way to make it work like that?
r/MachE • View on Reddit →That is only if you want to use the Y cable. You can still direct wire it into your fuse box (which will also give parking mode) The Y cable plugging into the rear view mirror power, only works while car is on.
r/KiaTelluride • View on Reddit →I just installed the FitcamX on my 19 C43 coupe and it works great. Best thing about it is the OEM look. It replaces the rearview mirror housing with the company's housing that has a 4k camera integrated to it and plugs in directly into the rain sensor for power. It doesn't have GPS but provides a time stamp and has an app with it. r/AMG • View on Reddit →[Get a FitCamX](https://amzn.to/47ClDA7) In the front, you barely even notice it because of how it installs. You have to be looking for it to find it. Looks like OEM. The rear is very small also.
r/ram_trucks • View on Reddit →I had a hardwired FitCamX, and it would not loop record. I ended up replacing it with a hardwired VIOFO A229, which has been flawless. I had two near-miss incidents, the FitCamX missed, and after several attempts to fix the issue with FitCamX, I gave up on it. A dashcam is for peace of mind, and I could trust that the device would work when needed. If you get the FitCamX, thoroughly test and periodically confirm that it is doing loop recordings. FitCamX as a company is reputable and well-intended. They refunded me the full amount without any prodding. We needed our camera to be hardwired because we want to record when the car is parked; this is a feature the FitCamX does not support.
r/Ioniq5 • View on Reddit →Fitcamx for the front. It looks OEM and part of the car. Is actually the OEM model for some Toyota i believe. Had my windows smashed twice when I used a normal dash cam.
r/bayarea • View on Reddit →FitCamX is pretty good one. Depending on model/trim of vehicle it can come out looking like a factory dashcam. I have one for my Camry and it looks great. Uses the power from the auto dimming mirror. Easiest install I've done and I have installed 6 different dashcams on my vehicles over the years.
r/mazda3 • View on Reddit →Fitcamx. Cleanest looking one that looks OEM. Recording quality is ok but I’m not looking for the best, just wanted something for daily driving.
r/VWatlas • View on Reddit →They have a version for models without a sunroof. Check their website
r/MazdaCX30 • View on Reddit →FitCamX with the front 4K and rear. Fishing the wire to the rear is a piece of cake, like 5 minutes, not removing any panels/trim inside the car. The app on the phone is pretty crappy. If you try to play back video connecting to the cam it kind of sucks. Removing the MicroSD card and popping it in a PC, it plays back perfectly. The front and rear cameras do store the data in separate files.
r/F150Lightning • View on Reddit →Does that FitCamX have that special battery that goes into your glove box or wherever, so it charges when you drive/charge, and discharges when parked and not plugged in?
r/MachE • View on Reddit →This is the one that I have. https://a.co/d/6HbjcPg
r/GRCorolla • View on Reddit →We had a FitCamX hardwired in our 24 Ioniq 5 and it would not loop record. I had 2 very close calls the FitCamX completely missed. FitCamX could not resolve why my camera would not work, and after 1 month of trying, I yanked it out and replaced it with a Viofo A229 that has been flawless. I have ours setup for recording when parked, a function the FitCamX failed at as well. A lot of people report good experience with FitCamX but that wasn't my use case. When we were troubleshooting the FitCamX, it had a Beta testing vibe to the process. FitCamX will relentlessly work with you to their credit and when I returned the camera to them, they fully refunded me without any prodding.
r/Ioniq5 • View on Reddit →I yanked mine out in June after my experience. FitCamX refunded me after I told them I didn't feel confident the camera would work 100% of the time after numerous back and forth with them. https://www.reddit.com/r/Dashcam/comments/1l6zadn/fitcamx_inverted_pov_and_customer_service_avoid/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
r/Ioniq5 • View on Reddit →> Does it notify you someway if something like that happens or is there a way to tell? It does not. That's the biggest disadvantage of the Fitcamx. You will miss your recording once your microSD fails. And it will fail eventually.
r/rav4club • View on Reddit →This is the way! I installed it on my 24 night edition with the rear camera option. Have had it about a year now. No complaints
r/HyundaiPalisade • View on Reddit →This and make sure using highe speed quality microsd card.
r/rav4prime • View on Reddit →Can't get more integrated looking than FitcamX. I don't have it for my Telli but I have it for my Mach-e. https://a.co/d/6CoRp78
r/KiaTelluride • View on Reddit →Fitcamx didnt fit my cx50 initially and then it was a whole hassle with returning it
r/CX50 • View on Reddit →I'm sorry, I don't want "sentry mode" powered by an external rechargeable battery?
r/MachE • View on Reddit →Just got the FitcamX. Loving it! I didn’t do the rear cam or fuse kit. Just don’t see the need. It looks like it was made by the manufacturer and was stupid easy to install. It is a Chinese product, but it’s pretty straightforward and the quality seems pretty high.
r/HyundaiTucson • View on Reddit →Right. Quality was good though when using the microsd. But truth be told, I have only looked at it one time after initial install, when these e-bike middle schoolers were blocking the road and popping wheelies. Posted the vid online in my housing area group. Hah
r/F150Lightning • View on Reddit →Plate not legible but still good enough. Investigated the rumours the fitcamx is the exact same, and considering their app works perfectly with this, it's very likely. Each camera quality tier is almost certainly all 1080p with levels of poor upscaling £63 delivered - https://a.aliexpress.com/_Eu3MFD8
r/Polestar • View on Reddit →Fitcamx, easy to install, looks OEM. I also ran the wire for the rear cam pretty easily behind the headliner and around the doors. DM me if you need any help. r/ToyotaTacoma • View on Reddit →I’m successfully using Viofo A119 and this cable on my two Toyotas https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2D78KMJ?ref=emc_b_5_mob_t Other Redditors reported success with this one as well https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ7QJVHC?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&starsLeft=1&skipTwisterOG=1 You just buy this cable (12P type C), open the lane assist cover, connect this Y cable in between the lane assist connection, and with that, you have a powered USB port right in the middle of your windshield. Then just install the Viofo cam or anything else needed and connect it there. Done. Simple as that. No hard routing in the A-pillars etc. It’s the same method FitcamX uses, except Fitcamx is pretty bad quality compared to Viofo. Viofo always alerts when the recording is not working for whatever reason, FitcamX stays silent so you can easily miss recording on accident.
r/rav4club • View on Reddit →I have the FitcamX. It taps into the sunroof for power and looks like it’s OEM.
r/MazdaCX30 • View on Reddit →super happy with my fitcamx cam that taps power from my Hyundai auto-dimming mirror with homelink buttons. I brought the car in for an oil change and caught the porter hammering on it in the parking lot so you could say it's pretty discreet lmao https://preview.redd.it/3mmj4b4h79df1.jpeg?width=3060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a9cd73ce5b2ec416efd7d7ec49137ca4b0fb52f9 [https://fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-hyundai-elantra-and-elantra-n-2021-2024-rear-mirror-cover-part-number-96031-aa000?variant=43790197194924](https://fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-hyundai-elantra-and-elantra-n-2021-2024-rear-mirror-cover-part-number-96031-aa000?variant=43790197194924) [https://ia016.hyundaiaccessories.com/accessories/2025/elantra-n/abf62au000/](https://ia016.hyundaiaccessories.com/accessories/2025/elantra-n/abf62au000/)
r/ElantraN • View on Reddit →FitCamX again. I’ve never had any issues connecting to it and pulling video. It looks OEM so techs more than likely won’t even try disabling it.
r/GRCorolla • View on Reddit →I got the FitcamX dashcam from Amazon last year and it’s pretty good
