Project farm on YouTube just did a dash cam comparison and viofo took the #1 spot. I've had my viofo 129 duo since 2019 and it's been great.
r/dashcams • What is the best dash cam to buy if money isn't an issue ? ->Viafo front and rear powered off the donggar adapter. Saved my ass in a crash and ended up in my next Mazda. posted a guide on how to wire it up a few years ago. No issues.
r/mazda3 • Do you guys have a dash cam on your Mazda 3 ? ->Experience with various dashcams and upgrading the battery in my car to the largest AGM type that will fit in the battery tray. (096 70ah). My car was vandalised twice and both times the dashcam, a Viofo A129, had stopped recording in under 12 hours. Replaced it with a Thinkware U3000 and now get a few days.
r/drivingUK • Help!!! My car keeps getting hit no ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

Been using the viofo a129 for the past 5 years and still going well. Got the package one with front and rear cam included. It can also either be hard wired (with instructions) but I just plugged it in my auxiliary port cause I cant be bothered. Just tidied up the wirings and made sure its well tucked in the headboard as well as the pillars for a clean look. One important thing to consider as well is getting a good memory card. Make sure to get at least a high endurance/class 10 and ensure to refresh it every quarter or so.
r/australia • Best dashcam available in AU that isn't super expensive ->I installed the VioFo A129 front and rear dash cam system. It was pretty straightforward. Just make sure you have a trim tool from Harbor freight. This video below basically walks you through it step-by-step. I did not hardwire anything into the fuse box. I'm just using the cigarette lighter. https://youtu.be/aLVQEpw8I1E?si=BS6yz4EGqiDhHyP3
r/KiaTelluride • Has anyone installed a front and rear dash cam? Wondering what wiring the rear one will be like and the best way to do that. This is the one I just ordered on Amazon and it was one of their top reviewed. ->I love this brand. I have yet to see anyone else with such good quality. I have the 129, 229 and the recent 329 version in my truck. No issues at all. Money well spent.
r/YEGDashCam • Looking for Dash Cam recommendations. ->I suggest to get any Viofo besides the A229 (audio quality can turn loud at certain times), Either go with the A119 or A129, best models or either a Garmin or Thinkware, you can find some of them for under $200 or $100 and they're very easy to install!
r/rav4club • Is the integrated dashcam worth it? ->old.reddit.com/r/dashcams is a good place to start, their sidebar / FAQ is good. It seems you need to spend ~~£150 on a good dash cam that can read number plates. I bought the dual viofo a129, seems like rlly good quality... Haven't had to use it yet, but on the things I do watch back ,quality is great. Seems like a common reccomendation to purchase.
r/CarTalkUK • Recommend Dash Cams ->Same here, exact same model been going strong for 6 summers now.
r/australia • Best dashcam available in AU that isn't super expensive ->I'm a big fan of the A119/A129 and related dashcams. Installed mine with the dongar adapter, very quick and easy
r/MachE • View on Reddit →Why not? Just watch some videos to find the best route to take and go for it. I recently took my viofo A129 Duo out of my old lease car and will put it in the P2 as soon as the temperature goes up a bit. (its still a fair bit of work so I don't want to be cold when doing it)
r/Polestar • View on Reddit →The best cameras are the Viofos but the Fitcam is the easiest to install cleanly and looks OEM so it really depends on what you're after.
r/Polestar • View on Reddit →I installed the viofo A129 myself using the adapter plug in the cigarette lighter, not wired direct. It was very easy to do and no problems so far. It was my first time doing something like this so I was worried about routing it under the headliner but with a little youtube help it was no issue at all!
r/CX50 • View on Reddit →I have a Viofo A129 Duo and it's pretty nice for it's price around $120. 1440p/60fps front, 1080/30 rear.
r/ElantraN • View on Reddit →I perosnally use the Viofo a129 duo for dash cams, brilliant and dont bresk the bank
r/drivingUK • View on Reddit →Just bought VIOFO front and rear for my truck.
r/f150 • View on Reddit →I went with Viofo A129 Duo almost 6 years ago, but I only use the front cam and never set up the rear cam. It's still going strong.
r/Frugal • View on Reddit →I have the A129, didn't get the hardwire kit but ik another brz that has it and they have no complaints. What you get for the price was reasonable enough that I put the same set up in my wife's car and sold my brother on the same camera lol
r/ft86 • View on Reddit →I have the VIOFO a129 duo. The UI and app are janky but it shoots really good video. I got that adapter that's pulls power from the mirror then ran a cable up the passenger side roll bar down the back.
r/FordBronco • View on Reddit →Get a VIOFO and hardwire kit. It can do a type of sentry mode if it has constant power. I use the 119 and 129 front and rears on my vehicles, no problems in a few years so far.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →Both cars had the viofo a129 with the rear camera too. I did have to replace the adheshive pads for both cameras from the heat over the years
r/phoenix • View on Reddit →I have the A129 Duo for the rear camera addition, been going strong for 6 years now in extreme heat and cold.
r/civic • View on Reddit →I got a Nextbase and upgraded to a Viofo A129 Duo very quickly. The Viofo is nice and reliable. They have newer versions now
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →Those 3w liners are great! Rocking a Viofo 2 channel cam as well. Good recs!
r/ToyotaSienna • View on Reddit →I've got both a single and a dual unit in our cars and they've been largely flawless. I've had two incidents where they seemed to glitch out and record nothing but a factory reset and they've been fine again - and we are talking two incidents over at least five years now. For the price they're a great buy IMO.
r/australia • View on Reddit →My 8-year-old Viofo A129 is still working well, has good definition, and I like its mounting position. Good value for money.
r/australia • View on Reddit →+1 for VIOFO. I have the A129 for many years now and extremely good. If you don't want to go through the process of hardwiring to the camera there is an adapter from Dongar you can buy to get power from the rear view mirror. That's what I did and it works great!
r/SubaruAscent • View on Reddit →I did a lot of research and ended up going for the Viofo A129 front and back. Been very pleased with the quality! I can probably take a few videos off if you want to see.
r/drivingUK • View on Reddit →This, they are the best. Expensive, but WORTH IT. I have a Viofo Mini one (A129? sorry, forgot name) on the windshield and on the back some random $30 bucks one that sadly does not auto-delete oldest clips when memory gets full.
r/COROLLA • View on Reddit →I like that clean look of that dashcam. I have a 2020 and I use a Viofo with a rear camera. Cables hidden under the headliner.
r/BoltEV • View on Reddit →The viofo a129 duo (one of the best reviewed on YouTube) can often be found for under $100 refurbished. I have personally installed 3 of them. 1 even saved me at least $5k.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I got the viofo a129, and it won't accept power from the usb-c. It beeps for 5 minutes, then shuts off. Is the vs1 lower power?
r/VWiD4Owners • View on Reddit →I have the next step up from the one they tested and the Viofo is great, the 2 channel was easy to run, and I used a dongar pro, so power was super easy. https://preview.redd.it/fy856ri9mope1.png?width=1440&format=png&auto=webp&s=5afc3127ef5ff91ab75ebfce0f5e4b6e6f553df4
r/ToyotaTacoma • View on Reddit →I installed a Viofo A129 in my 2016 Elite and it's been fantastic. I have the same thing in my truck. For the Odyssey, you'll need the long 8m cable to reach all the way to the back. I have mine hardwired so it has parking mode. They have a newer version that has a better rear camera, the A229.
r/HondaOdyssey • View on Reddit →My Viofo A129 has handled Florida weather for years.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →Experience with various dashcams and upgrading the battery in my car to the largest AGM type that will fit in the battery tray. (096 70ah). r/drivingUK • View on Reddit →VIOFO A129 duo. Has front and back cameras, as well as gps
r/BroncoSport • View on Reddit →problem with buy it cheap, buy it twice. I have viofoA129, it is just there working. you can't go wrong with viofo
r/Frugal • View on Reddit →lmao high desert much? I live in the high desert and I have used a Viofo A129 Duo since 2022. It came with strong adhesive that has yet to give. I power it with an external battery when I'm parked out and about. I also benefit from being garaged overnight at home (where I don't need the dashcam running). I make sure to position my accordion-style sunshade so that the main camera is in a fold, and therefore has some ventilation if I'm parked outdoors, and the battery I keep in the center console, away from the sun and insulated from the heat of the car cabin. I've never had any issues with the rear camera.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →Just to add to the viofo line up... I have the a129, in the 86 and my Impreza lol Good cam for the price, not the best quality for reading plates but most cams around this price struggle with reading plates in motion
r/ft86 • View on Reddit →People shit on the Viofo, but I've had nothing other than a good experience with the A129, and the fact it actually picks up license plates during the day AND at night, as well as recording at 60fps (reducing frame blur if you need to go frame by frame) for the $190 I paid for it on eBay is really good. That Linus dashcam comparison video was such an important watch as well. So many big brands just outright ripping people off.
r/CarsAustralia • View on Reddit →I love my VIOFO A129 and I turn the gps off. It's easy to download video to my phone and seems to be fairly reliable one year into ownership
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →I've also had really good luck with the A119 and A129 in the Arizona heat for the last few years. Although most capacitor dashcams should be able to handle heat. Here are all the [operating temps for different cameras. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcams/s/8bg7mGCAsL) Hope that's helpful
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →No trouble at all! I keep a USB-C memory card reader in the car at all times to make it easy to view and download videos on the go. Not sure if I can find a night video but I'll have a look, if not I can probably take it out for a quick run round the block for you. I don't recall looking into those, I watched an awful lot of reviews and it narrowed it down pretty quick to the Viofo for what I wanted personally - front and back, good video quality, but optional hardwiring.
r/drivingUK • View on Reddit →I use Viofo A129 on my cars. It's top-rated for a reason - good price, 4K video recording, wifi connectivity, capacitor-powered (instead of batteries that bloat and degrade in heat), front and rear cameras. Newest model is now the A329.
r/CarsPH • View on Reddit →No. it's more likely you needing a niche product instead of the mass marketed ones will bump up your price. Get a Viofo A129 or A229 and turn the GPS off. Also, the camera company isn't "tracking your every move" that would require a sim card and data plan which most dash cam systems don't have, they require you to be physically near the camera for a wifi connection to your phone, or for you to remove the memory card and download video to your computer.

r/dashcams • View on Reddit →My Viofo sitting on the passenger side behind the mirror never bothered me in my last car. Also it still works perfectly fine after 4,5 years so as soon as the temperature outside goes up a bit it's going right back in the Polestar.
