Check out r/Dashcam - there's a list of recommended dashcams I have a VIOFO A119 Mini 2 and I'm happy with that
r/drivingUK • Best Dash Camera ->No. Get a viofo a119 dash cam and then buy this adapter [here on amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CT37DNWV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) Lmk if you have more questions.
r/rav4club • Is the integrated dashcam worth it? ->i really really like the viofo. i bought the a119 on sale on amazon 2 years ago and it's been recording consistently ever since because it is motion/bump activated when i'm not driving. i hardwired it into my car. cannot recommend it enough.
r/Edmonton • Dash cam suggestions for Edmontons cold weather ->to answer your question. I went with the VIOFO Dash Cam A119 Mini 2. it is small enough that i cant see it from the drivers seat. Hopefully this makes it less likely to be stolen. i also used the VIOFO HK4 Acc Hardwire Kit, USB-C. i made sure to buy a camera that uses usb C so i wont have to rewire if i upgrade later on. This kit does still need two fuse taps to wire up acc and battery power. With this set up the wiring is all completely hidden and the camera will turn off if the car battery gets low. Ill see if i can find a way to upload a video, the picture is great. I also added the glare lens that viofo sells.

r/hondaridgeline • Updated list of the best dash cams ->I'm not a c43 owner but I use an A119 I believe. It's super solid. A229 is an even better option.

I'd go at leaat $90 and get the A119 Mini 2. Used a couple of cheaper ones but couldn't rely on them, and that's the main thing you need in a dashcam. I'm certain there's cheaper okay ones, but I wouldn't be able to trust them personally. Make sure you're frequently checking the videos from a cheaper one if you're going to cheap out on these.
r/KiaSoulClub • Best dash cams under 50 dollars? ->There is a neat community and [recommendations thread on /r/dashcams](https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcams/comments/1iube1b/dashcam_recommendations_on_reddit/). Helped me get my A119 which was around $90 when I got it on sale.
r/askcarguys • Dashcam recommendations? ->That seems to be the consensus about ROVE. I ended up just going with the VIOFO A119. Thanks for the response!
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →Got the Viofo a119 mini 2 for $86 for Christmas.
r/Crosstrek • View on Reddit →VIOFO A119 Mini 2. It is not under 100, but it is a very good dashcam
r/COROLLA • View on Reddit →I've successfully installed a Viofo A119 dash cam (A119 is just the front camera though) in both of my Toyotas using this cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2D78KMJ?ref=emc_b_5_mob_t Several other Redditors have also reported good results with this alternative: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ7QJVHC?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&starsLeft=1&skipTwisterOG=1 All you need is the 12-pin Type-C cable. Just pop open the lane assist cover, plug the Y-cable inline with the existing connection, and you've got a powered USB port right at the top-center of your windshield. No need to run wires through A-pillars or do any hardwiring. This is basically the same installation method that FitcamX uses, but in my experience, Viofo is much more reliable. Viofo gives audible alerts if recording fails, while FitcamX stays silent-so you might not realize it's not recording until it's too late. Hope this helps someone avoid a messy install!
r/rav4club • View on Reddit →I have a mini also as my first dash cam. I bought a viofo a119mini2 last month and love it. For the price and quality way better. It has a small monitor and i like that it came with a static film especially if you have tint. Also easy to remove the unit since you can slide the dash cam from its mount. I was gonna get a garmin but glad i did more research.
r/Garmin • View on Reddit →I love my VIOFO A119. Just got the v2 for my wife's car. They're pretty affordable and easy to setup/use
r/civic • View on Reddit →Been running the viofo a119 for almost 10 years with no problems.
r/mazda • View on Reddit →Same one I have in my work truck and personal vehicles. Works well for the price. I also am my own boss so it's forward facing only.
r/HVAC • View on Reddit →Another vote for Viofo. We bought the A119 and have no complaints.
r/Edmonton • View on Reddit →Additionally, while the Vantrue N2X may seem like a good option, I would recommend exploring budget-friendly dash cams from brands like VIOFO or Thinkware. They offer excellent night vision capabilities and high-quality recordings without breaking the bank. For a budget-friendly choice, consider the VIOFO A119 Mini 2, which offers great performance with 2K QHD resolution and solid night vision. It's compact and designed for parking protection, making it a great choice for your needs. r/dashcams • View on Reddit →If you are in the market for a dual dashcam, I just got this from Vantrue Vantrue N2X 2.7K Uber Dash Cam... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9GRRXH5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share which has been pretty good so far. I also got this https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6506838.p?skuId=6506838&sb_share_source=PDP to go with it. Before this I bought the Viofo A119 mini 2 which was pretty bad as the app was not retrieving any videos and the camera was not recording the videos properly. It was cutting it off abruptly every 30-45 seconds. Give this a shot for about 170$.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →My Garmin only lasted a few years also. I replaced it with a VIOFO A119
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →This is the one I use, as well. It's been doing the job, but there have been occasions where the unit doesn't begin to record when the vehicle is started. Thankfully, you can see this happening because the red REC led light blinks rapidly. Turning it off/on again seems to rectify it. It hasn't happened for sometime, but it was a concern.
r/hondaridgeline • View on Reddit →Viofo makes good cams that are fairly priced. I have an A119 mini 2.
r/mazda • View on Reddit →So... Weirdly enough, dash cam tech or options hasn't progressed nearly as much as you would think over the past decade... At least from everything I've seen. Most of the better options are going to be Chinese made setups. I personally use a Viofo and I like it. It's adequate for what I need it for. I wanted a fairly PnP, inconspicuous, good quality recorder that required little interference on a daily basis and the Viofo A119 Mini 2 offers that. Granted, I only sprung for the single channel option but they do make options with front + rear as you're looking for. Anything you get, just make sure it has a Starvis 2 sensor because it's notably better than the previous gen option. It's worth noting there's a lot more to look at than just the camera features and specs. I think you mentioned ease of use/accessing footage? I recommend you look at reviews on each brands software/app ... Viofo's app works fine but connecting literally takes a minute or two sometimes which is annoying. A few other quirks but far from deal breaking.
r/WRX • View on Reddit →Plus one for Viofo! r/rav4club • View on Reddit →when they broke into my car, they left my two VIOFO 119, and took one of the charging cable...
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →Viofo A119 Mini 2 is what I have. I rarely look at the footage though, but I guess it's just there in case. I just ran it to the fuse box to enable the parking recording, seemed easier than tapping the mirror to me.
r/hondaridgeline • View on Reddit →I use Viofo 119 mini for the front camera and the 119 v3 for the rear camera. The whole setting costs less that $200 total when on sale. I prefer the smaller one up front so that it occupies less of my windshield. I bough a long usb C cable and run it from the middle console, under the floor mats, to the rear window. It sucks that the new Highlander doesn't have a 12v or an usb port in the trunk area.
r/ToyotaHighlander • View on Reddit →I wish they sold rear cameras separately. I bought one of these last year and wish i got the dual front and back instead
r/Miata • View on Reddit →Vortex Radar does some good dash cam reviews. I have a Viofo 119 Mini 2, great picture and phone app.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →Nope no issues with mines. I got it professionally install at a shop.
r/civic • View on Reddit →I got this one for all my vehicles. I like it. [Rexing dash cam](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJN33W3S?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1) I previously had a Viofo A119. It died just out of warranty, but it had problems before that. The customer support said to upgrade the firmware. That fixed it several times (PITA) before warranty end, but did not fix it after warranty end. It was a POS.
r/JeepGladiator • View on Reddit →I'm successfully using Viofo A119 and this cable on my two Toyotas https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2D78KMJ?ref=emc_b_5_mob_t Other Redditors reported success with this one as well https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ7QJVHC?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_H76099TX42XDAEK2XCE3&starsLeft=1&skipTwisterOG=1 You just buy this cable (12P type C), open the lane assist cover, connect this Y cable in between the lane assist connection, and with that, you have a powered USB port right in the middle of your windshield. Then just install the Viofo cam or anything else needed and connect it there. Done. Simple as that. No hard routing in the A-pillars etc. It's the same method FitcamX uses, except Fitcamx is pretty bad quality compared to Viofo. Viofo always alerts when the recording is not working for whatever reason, FitcamX stays silent so you can easily miss recording on accident.
r/rav4club • View on Reddit →My VIOFO A119 mini 2 with HK4 works pretty well on mines
r/civic • View on Reddit →I've got a viofo 119 mini in mine. I wired it to the outlet in the passenger footwell and tucked the wire into the trim (pulled the a pillar). Great cam and you can't tell it's there.
r/Miata • View on Reddit →I'm not a c43 owner but I use an A119 I believe. It's super solid. A229 is an even better option.
r/AMG • View on Reddit →There's a lot more to think about here than you'd expect. Like, do you want a single-channel cam? Or do you want video out the back as well (2-channel)? There's an entire sub dedicated to them over at r/dashcams. That's where we did our research: [https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcams/comments/1iube1b/dashcam\_recommendations\_on\_reddit/](https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcams/comments/1iube1b/dashcam_recommendations_on_reddit/) Ultimately, we ended up with a Viofo A119 Mini 2, and it's been great. One thing you're going to learn very quickly is that the vast majority of these cams actually have the same stuff inside. What you want is a company that uses the latest version of the Sony STARVIS sensor and one that keeps their software up to date. The other thing you'll learn is that you should basically ignore resolution as a bare metric. Don't go buy some cheap-ass 4K dashcam and expect it to out-perform a better quality 1440p cam. There are tons of garbage quality 4K dashcams out there that are nothing but a waste of money. Buy something reputable.
r/askcarguys • View on Reddit →My A119 Mini 2 transfers video to my iPhone pretty quickly. It has GPS coordinates and speed. Check out Vortex Radar on YouTube for his reviews.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →Go with the Viofo A119 Mini2. [It's $85 right now and a perfect beginner cam. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcpartsales/comments/1p4jmki/misc_viofo_dash_cam_a119_mini_2_starvis_2_sensor/) Don't waste your money on anything cheaper. I had a cheap $40 cam to start and after months of use I realized it did not save half of the videos. Never again.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →Yes. Mine Bluetooth transfers to the phone quick. They're one minute videos though.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →The Wirecutter recommends the Miofive S1, but I tried and it's junk. Go with the Viofo A119 Mini 2; I've seen it on Amazon for as low as $89, though right now it's $138.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →I have a garmin mini 3. It takes great video but its slow to connect to from your phone via wifi. I have a viofo a119 mini in another car but I don't think the angle would be right for a rear dash cam. The garmin mini 3 fits really well and isn't too intrusive. https://preview.redd.it/pczycgw1xaue1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f49e58449e8e04300a899d96dc382dd4a632b11
