1) Viofo A129 Pro 2) 70mai A800 SE 3) Vantrue N4 Pro 4) Qubo Hero Pro I have these 4 in my cars. My favorite app to use is Qubo, it's very user friendly and it's a breeze to set up and get it running. My favorite image quality is Vantrue, it's pristine and read things super clear, day and night. My best VFM has to be 70mai tho because the Vantrue is nice but pricey and 70mai does 90% of the stuff for a fraction of the cost. Hope this helps ☺️ Edit: I would also suggest getting front and back. It's more peace of mind. You'll have more evidence and more angles covered.

I have the vantrue n4 with gps. Bought the dongle so I wired it into my fuse box. All wires hidden. Records when people wall up to the car. Has a forward facing/inward facing and a usb ran to the rear for the 3rd camera.

Yup I just tucked it up in there. Power cord on one end that goes to the dashcam and a fuse dongle on the other that plugs directly into the fuse box. Yup it's a good thing to have.

I have the Vantrue N4 Pro in my Tacoma and an N4 (non Pro) in my wife's 2025 Nissan Leaf. The Pro has wifi capabilities in which you can access the footage via the app. The whole setup is pretty easy, and I wired both vehicles using The Dongar adapters that connect at the rear view mirror (most newish cars have power of some sort in the mirror). YouTube was a good resource for the truck, but hardly nothing for the Leaf, so I had to put on the ol thinking cap. No need to do a hard wire if you don't want to, and it looks clean with no wires hanging. The Dongar usually runs about $30, just make sure you know what pin type you need. Even running the wires under the overhead liner for the rear camera is super easy.

Not worth it. Get a high end 4k dash cam. I have a 3 channel dash cam (vantrue n4, 3 channel) that was $350-400 NEW. Put in the time and labor to hardwire it ($90) and you have something WAY less expensive than the dealership charge. F that. Buy aftermarket and get what you need, a 3 channel dash cam. Saved my buttore than once.

Any dashcam that you can afford. I bought my van true n4 3 channel dash cam when it was the newest. Worth the money. Got my dad one as well. It's worth getting something to protect yourself. Just buy the best you can and upgrade later.

I've been using the Vantrue N4 Pro 4K 3 Channel Dash Cam for a few years and have faced no issues whatsoever. It actually saved me recently from a hit and run with the parking mode, lady scratched the hell out of my door and it got her license plate. Only flaw is that it doesn't upload to a cloud, to get the footage on it you either need to take out the SD card or be within a 6 food radius of it to access the files through the app on your phone.

i'm using the vantrue n4 pro \~got an external battery hardwired to the fuse box gives it extra 24 hours on when cars off. external battery charges full within 45 min when cars on. installed it myself with the help of some youtube vids. hardest part is threading the wires behind the a pillar airbags so it doesn't block them from deploying\~also a digital rear view mirror that's also a dashcam but that's just a backup https://preview.redd.it/1whd31hgcx2g1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8197cd773fe5d4e2cfa2749bcffec2b9be677b0

I got a "Vantrue N4". It was around $180 when I bought it two years ago. Super easy to install myself, even to hard wire into the car wasn't difficult although you can just plug it into your cig lighter port if you prefer. The quality of the video is incredible. I haven't needed to use it for insurance purposes yet but I have caught a bunch of great footage of moronic drivers lol

It's best to get an actual dash cam. I tried using GoPros for dash cams and they suck. They overheat during the spring and summer due to direct sun exposure and placement away from front vents. This was with GoPro 9, 10, and 11, and DJI Osmo Action 2 which had similar issues; settings were 4K and 30fps. You also need to remember to turn them on, which seems like it would be easy to do, but it's easy to forget. I did a ton of research, reading and watching reviews online, and the dashcam that I got for my wife and myself is the Vantrue N4 Pro; it's a 3 camera, 4K front + 1080p + 1080p inside cabin and rear setup. The front cam utilizes the Sony Starvis 2 sensor, which is a 4K sensor that's larger in size than previous gen and can clearly pick up license plates at a close distance, and also offers better image capture at night. I would NOT pick up a dash cam that doesn't have the Sony Starvis 2 sensor, as smaller, lower 1080p front resolution, and previous gen sensors can have a difficult time capturing license plates clearly, and an even more difficult time recording at night. It's normally around $380, but you can find it on sale for around $250 on Amazon. Use something like camelcamelcamel to track prices and get it once the price curve hits a trough. Hope this information was helpful.

I got a Vantrue last year. They had good sales. I've got a 3 camera version, but only use the front camera currently. I turned off the cabin camera to conserve storage space. It also wasn't good for my marriage when I suggested we look at the tape to resolve a discussion we were having about who said what to whom. So now I have it turned off. I can turn it back on with voice commands if I ever needed to if we were being stopped or something.

Haven't had anyone throw up in my car (thankfully), but I did have a drunk passenger pass out and refuse to get out once. Luckily his friend was with him and ended up dragging him out of the car. If your budget allows, I'd definitely say go for the upgrade. I'm using the Vantrue N4 Pro right now - it has an interior cam and the front cam has a screen that shows live footage. I actually mounted it in a spot that's pretty noticeable, and ever since then, passengers have been weirdly polite.

I've got a Vantrue N4 3 channel. So I ran the back cabling under the headliner and the front cable runs down the right side a Pilar, through the glove box and then down into the lower unit tray under the climate controls. It's very sleek and apart from the couple wires that come out of the dash cam unit, you can't see them. Assuming the unit wires are not crazy thick, you can pull back the trim enough to squeeze the wire in without pulling anything off.

I'm in Phoenix and have a VanTrue N4. I've only had it a few months so I haven't been able to torture it yet but the main reason I got it (besides that I got a really good deal on it lol) was because it doesn't have a battery but uses a capacitor instead. A model with a capacitor is a must for extreme heat from what I've read.

Consider getting at least a 3 channel dash cam, like the Vantrue N4 Pro. It has an interior camera that can capture both inside the car and the side windows, which help cover the sides of your vehicle. 2 channel setup could work, but it usually only covers the front and rear, so if someone approaches from the side, it likely won't catch it.

I love my vantrue n4 pro. Relatively small foot print for both the cameras. Relatively easy to download/format the card from the app. There's a learning curve, most of the settings are from the phone, but some fine tuning is required to do on the front camera. Can read a liscene plate at about 40 feet, daytime front camera.

I use the Vantrue N4 Pro. Love it! I drive a Tesla, but like the crispy 4k quality of the road and 2k inside the cabin. I haven't installed the third camera yet but it's great to have audio inside the cabin, and the crispy road footage as a backup in case some shenanigans happens. Definitely recommend that one. I also backup every day to Google Drive also on a rotating quarterly basis. I then offload the footage to my hard drives for safekeeping at the end of every month.

I have Vantrue N4's in both of my cars. I might as well live on the surface of the sun (Phoenix area) and after a few months of blazing temperatures, they are both still working without issue. I also saw some negative reviews for Vantrue when people discussed dash cams in general but whenever someone mentioned needing one for an Uber driver, Vantrue always seemed to be a top recommendation. Not sure if it's because Uber drivers need to have the interior camera and maybe your average person doesn't want it? (It can be disabled but I prefer it since it helps to provide a view of the sides of the car.) TBH, I was hesitant when I bought mine, but I also bought them at a deep discount from an auction so I saw little risk involved. I did read the manual and saw the warnings about memory card compatibility so I did buy the best one that I could and haven't had any issue. If price was equal I probably would have bought a Viofo since that's what most recommend but if the Viofo is $300 and mine was $75, I'm buying the Vantrue again no doubt.

Phoenix here... I got a good deal on a Vantrue N4 so I went with it. So far, so good after a few months. They sell a heavy duty adhesive based mount for like $6 if the suction cup mount fails. The main selling point for me was that it uses a capacitor instead of a battery. That is supposed to be crucial for high heat areas. There are other models that have capacitors so that is where I would start the search.

Blackvue, Viofo, and Thinkware are the "big 3" that are considered the best. If you are on a budget I would say Viofo. Great camera at a good price. The vantrue n4 pro is also a really good one as is anything Nextbase, although they can be pricey.

I have an N4 Pro in my 24 Prius Prime, had it for about a year now. And I can't say I've had any complaints out of it, seems to work just as intended, anytime I've needed video. I've gotten it And it's been good quality. The only thing I wish and this is pretty much the same across the entire market but, I just wished the Wi-Fi would use wider Wi-Fi channels so you could have faster data transfers. But I'll admit I'm being a little nitpicky with that one. And again, it's no different on most of the others.

I think I can say most cameras, even if they have Wi-Fi, still can be controlled and used completely "locally". For instance my Vantrue N4 Pro has every setting locally And can be completely used without Wi-Fi, but for instance, if you're trying to get video off, you could use the app and Wi-Fi to make it easier. So I would not necessarily discount Wi-Fi dashcams just because they are not going to use Wi-Fi/App
