Most dashcams with "GPS" feature show speed. [Vantrue has some good 2 channel and 3 channel cams](https://www.reddit.com/r/dashcams/s/65SdNGK6Jc) tried and tested. Same with VIOFO, Garmin, and blackvue. Stay away from Pruveeo.
r/Dashcam • Good dashcam? ->I got the Vantrue N2X because my car has cameras recording the outside, but after a passenger jumped in front of my car on Christmas Eve (she wasn't at the pick up spot and saw me leaving the area) and tried to get me deactivated, I decided I needed interior audio to prove what she did. Lyft obviously sided with me because you can see her run to get in front of my car, but if she hadn't, I would have had no proof. It's cheaper since it doesn't have a rear camera, but still effective when it comes to false passenger claims.
r/lyftdrivers • Thinking about upgrading to a cabin recording dash cam - good idea or overkill? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

My Vantru was 3 years old when the Texas sun took it out.
r/uberdrivers • I know there is 10,000 posts about dash cams. Can we hear from people who have had them for a long time? ->I think it may have been my fault. Wife got me a front windshield cover that opens like an umbrella, I forgot to take the camera down so it was cooked. The inside cam worked, the forward camera blanked out
r/uberdrivers • I know there is 10,000 posts about dash cams. Can we hear from people who have had them for a long time? ->N2 was the model. Yes to NV in cabin and front view. Leaning towards replacing with VanTru but researching other brands at this time
r/uberdrivers • I know there is 10,000 posts about dash cams. Can we hear from people who have had them for a long time? ->[Go with the VanTrue N2X](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9GRRXH5/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_PGXHPXAKZJ6D407Q1S0Y?linkCode=ml1&tag=lfttscl-dbc-20). It's the next gen from the N2 Pro which is used by a lot of Uber drivers and has had good reviews and reliability. To get the function of recording for several minutes after engine shut off, have an extra battery bank or hardwire it.
r/dashcams • Looking for a dashcam that also takes the interior of the vehicle (specifically the driver's side) and holds enough charge/power to record for several minutes after the vehicle is off. Any recs? ->That's a great camera and exactly what I was going to recommend for you. Pair it with [a max endurance memory card](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084CJ9T2R/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_WFFHDWCRNAPCVZJ2PGSF?linkCode=ml1&tag=lfttscl-dbc-20) and you'll be good to go.
r/dashcams • Dash cam for convertible ->Spend the $ and get a Vantrue. N2X is on sale on Amazon for $150. It records front and interior. Or splurge and get an N5S, also on sale on Amazon for $300, records front rear and interior from 2 angles. If not those then do some research and find one you like. Don't get the cheap Chinese ones. Also, get a decent sized memory card for it.
r/uberdrivers • PSA - Buy a f*cking dash cam ->I have the vantrue N2X dashcam for my 2015 Forester. I didn't hardwire it, I worked the 11ft power cord along the inside of the front passenger A-pillar and along the door jam and under the passenger side carpet and plugged it into the power outlet in the center console since I never used it anyway. I've only had it for only 3 months but I like it so far. Except it does randomly take pictures and idk why 😂
r/SubaruForester • Dash Cameras ->Amazon has dashcams available. You only need to clean the area of the window you apply the mount to, and run the cable from your outlet. I bought the "Vantrue N2X Dashcam" and it's awesome. It's got an app if you need to view things quickly and is pretty small. I like it anyhow....
r/desmoines • Recommend a local business to install a dash cam? ->Vantrue N2 front and in cabin, works fine, haven't had to use it yet. I keep the car in the garage and only drive at night, besides taking kids to school and shopping trips, so idk what baking in the sun would do to it. Had this one for about a year now with no issues. Had some cheap Amazon one that did the same thing with shitty quality but good enough if I needed it for evidence in an accident, it lasted 3 years, I think I paid like $28 for it. It didn't even die, just the crappy micro-USB port became loose as they all do over time and it would sporadically lose connection and cycle off and on. Edit to add I don't buy anything with a micro-USB connection anymore for the same reason; I'll pay extra to get a USB-C version. Screw Uber for making the latest Beacon crappier than the old circular window mount one; no battery, downgraded from USB-C to micro-USB, and non customizable colors etc. Capitalism at work I guess.
r/uberdrivers • I know there is 10,000 posts about dash cams. Can we hear from people who have had them for a long time? ->Vantrue N2x with the inside camera off so front camera has max resolution. Also hooked up Dongar Pro adapter to pre installed wiring in the headliner. I have it setup to record 4 hours after parking instead of always but zero wiring it's lovely
r/Camry • What dashcam are you running on your Camry? ->Vantrue or VIOFO. They both use the Sony Starvis image sensor and have great quality. The cameras are pretty set and forget if you opt for the hardwire kit. It will turn on and off with the car and start recording as soon as it starts up. The included power adapter does the same thing if your power port in your car turns off with the ignition.
r/Parenting • Recommendation request: dash cam for teen driver? ->This is perfect for ride sharing. It has a camera facing the the passengers if they act out or make a mess. The front camera is great for traffics purposes. All you do is buy a SD memory card, plug it to power and let it do its magic. When it runs out of space it will record over things. When you need footage you can use your phone and use the app to find the footage and send it to Lyft or Uber. I find it holds pretty well on the windshield and I've experienced 110 degree summer with it. If you still have issues with it. Just return it within the return window https://www.amazon.com/Vantrue-STARVIS-Support-Parking-Control/dp/B0D9GRRXH5/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.iXIRhIg1kUP7eFNxvKWhGvW2cPc-EUzHNQDkxLcgHDj7wnZ_wVdzuNzIcmhRkFufG4YwsT-MxcRCTP8-UR3CvfFu05I4_TStfi_vF2T_aHoKx9XATFEOvPcyno3g9oWb98s8nULmlAbECQf67QGwimLx81j2FAvniP4JL-MBEUAmR0Ktb7BethtCkA8w_F9wzgCdN_wLv31VcOPLopETHw.eaTIV7azAV98uD5zzpw1MYvUe-fjcQoJczEcl6ZKujg&dib_tag=se&keywords=Vantrue+nexus&qid=1756349852&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1
r/Lyft • View on Reddit →Vantru and Blackvue are highly rated. I have one in one one of my cars but not the other.
r/uberdrivers • View on Reddit →Vantrue n2x is good - it has front and interior rear facing cameras and runs off a capacitor. Do not get a dash camera with a lithium ion battery - their batteries will swell and become inoperable here in the summer heat.
r/vegaslocals • View on Reddit →I went with the Vantrue N2X. It has a forward facing and cabin camera. The cabin camera actually does a good job seeing out the side and back windows as well. Bought the power adapter from Trail Grid Pro and wired it up to my rear view mirror.
r/4Runner • View on Reddit →101% yes. Vantrue N2 for budget or Vantrue N4+ for quality/features
r/lyftdrivers • View on Reddit →I have the Vantrue Pro N4 and I have had the N2 in the past. The N4 has a rear facing camera as well. Even if you dont do ride share the way people drive it helps prove without a doubt who was at fault.
r/lyftdrivers • View on Reddit →Define cheap for people to make a recommendation. I have a Vantrue N2 that was around $199 and it works great for me.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I picked [this one](https://a.co/d/ciSKVIO) up specifically for my Miata so it could see behind me with the top down. My only annoyance is it's a bit bigger than pictures show, but it's great at night dos the job.
r/Miata • View on Reddit →I have a vantrue that captures front and cabin. I got it when i was driving my Crosstrek and could see my dogs in the back and it could see out the rear window. I really didn't want to wire a rear one, not as straight forward as the windshield. Anyway, it's 2k front and rear or 4k front only and has captured a lot of cool shit. Accidents, wildlife trying to commit suicide and it's kinda fun to check footage after some spirited driving. I got my daughter the newer model that connects via WiFi and she loves it.
r/wrx_vb • View on Reddit →I have a 2 channel Vantrue I've been using for about a month now. No issues and so far it's done what it's suppose to. Very easy to use.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I've got the Vantrue model with an interior camera, the kind Uber drivers use. Tons of features, including night vision, and it's got wifi so you can transfer video to your phone to show the police.
r/Frugal • View on Reddit →I have the vantrue N2. But I'm aiming for the N4 and a rear window cam
r/uberdrivers • View on Reddit →I bought a Vantrue N2 and the biggest SD card it would hold off Amazon. This model does require a computer to download the video from the SD card. It sounds to me like you would prefer something with cloud storage that you could access from your phone. Your top of the line brands like Vantrue, Nexar, and BlackVue all have models with this feature. There are budget friendly options out there. Just read reviews and cross-check with YouTube to see if the model you are interested in has a review done by someone who has bought one. And once you buy one, you can have it professionally installed if you feel uneasy doing it yourself.
r/Lyft • View on Reddit →Almost run off the road three times last month. Got the Vantrue with an interior camera. It's the kind a lot of Uber drivers use. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9GRRXH5?ref_=pe_123509780_1038749300_fed_asin_title

r/uberdrivers • View on Reddit →Actually, I bought this in 2021, it's forward facing only, it has NV, they don't list it anymore
r/uberdrivers • View on Reddit →No commercial links allowed, so go to vantrue dot com and search for Nexus 2X.

r/lyftdrivers • View on Reddit →I have a Vantru in the semi that I've had since late 2020, it records 24/7/365, I just replaced the memory card, but it works perfectly.
r/uberdrivers • View on Reddit →They don't do well in hot climates and in the summer here it gets over 100 f. So one day the camera just died. I started a claim and they made me make all these videos trying to get it to work. Eventually they determined it needed to be replaced and sent a new one after they recieved the dead one. The replacement didn't work either. So I had to do the entire process again. Luckily the third camera was the charm. Now I take my camera with me inside so it doesn't bake in the heat.
r/mazda3 • View on Reddit →I've got a Vantrue N2X; admittedly I got a great deal on it ($130) But I did alot of research, and Vantrue seems to be a good reputable brand in this space. if I can I'll pull my SDcard later, upload a video. [https://www.amazon.com/Vantrue-STARVIS-Support-Parking-Control/dp/B0D9GRRXH5](https://www.amazon.com/Vantrue-STARVIS-Support-Parking-Control/dp/B0D9GRRXH5) Looks like theres a coupon for $40 off, from $199. The app kinda sucks, I won't lie, but for me I just pull the SDcard and plop it into a reader in my PC(s) if I need the files. and its totally fine. \*\*I should add, I was looking for something that did cabin recording AND front recording was my prerogative. Its hard(er) to find a decent one that does both for a reasonable price.
r/CivicSi • View on Reddit →There are a few bigger brands, tho you never heard of them probably. I have 2 vantru cameras in 2 cars. About $165 each. Work fine. 2 camera install for each ( front and back) get a memory card ( a heavy duty or their suggested one) This particular brand has a "capacitor battery" instead of standard battery... resists in-car heat better than a battery. They're a good idea... my daughter was in an accident, ... other I lady ran a stop sign, and luckily it was caught on a home security camera. Made it a slam dunk case... swore from that moment to put a camera in every car.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I have a Vantru dash cam. I do not recommend them at all. Get a Viofo instead.
