Vantrue - Element 1 Pro (E1 Pro)

The A810 Plus definitely has a supercap, and looks to be solid as anything. I do use the A329 in two channel mode but it has intermittent issues with my Kingston external SSD, Viofo has had to backtrack on its claims of compatibility with SSD enclosures - it's been a mess. A119 V3 I've still got one in the drawer that was my daily for a couple of years, it can't be beaten in the Australian heat here and for it's video quality. Vantrue has caught up a lot in terms of their app and image quality, I would go for E1 Pro which seems to be the pick for a cheap 4k single unit solution. The e360 is a bit out of an outlier as they're trying something new - they have had their doozies like the s1 pro which was quickly replaced by the N2X which was way way better. To be honest, it's a three way battle between Viofo 70mai and Vantrue now. Totally understand the convenience of the Wolfbox and the form factor , it definitely has it's use cases and I can't fault that in the slightest. Wolfbox seem to be getting their game together now which is good. I agree with you on the x800, it seems like that's what the issue is. Shame really but what can you do. To be honest the a810 plus seems to be the safer buy even if the cabin is a crappy 1080p only. YouTube reviewers don't mention these issues not a single one mentioned it for the x800 even though they would have the Dec and January batch units that had the issues.

I have the VanTrue E1 Pro wired into the rear view mirror (with a wiring harness sold separately on Amazon). It was about $180 all in (camera, 256 GB SD card, and harness).

In my truck we are running the Wolfbox G900 Pro 2-ch, Viofo A119 Mini 2 in back, and Vantrue E1 Pro in front. In my car we are running the Wolfbox G900 Pro 2-ch, and Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch. Waiting to install the 70mai 4K Omni X800 just not sure where LOL.

Vantru and Blackvue are highly rated. I have one in one one of my cars but not the other.

The picture quality on the FitcamX is terrible. The starvis sensor is not 4k, its barely 2k and they are using upscaling to increase the resolution. Vantrue would be my preferred choice. I had an E1 Pro before buying the Fitcam and I am going to wind up going back when roadspy makes a mount for it that can replace that mount.

I have this same cam in front; it's not perfect but I'm happy with it overall. I'd buy a second for rear. I'll power it from the rear AC output tho, I don't think your cable will work long term. The USB ports are woefully underpowered.

Ended up getting a Vantrue E1 pro dash cam. Does the 12v cigarette lighter that powers the dashcam stay on while the vehicle is turned off?

Got the Vantrue pro s.. front, cabin and rear, I liked it because it has "sentry mode" so even if I am not in the car, it will record at low frame rate. Cons.. if you are using apple car play, you can't connect to it because car play uses WiFi, and Vantrue uses WiFi as well, so you'll need to disconnect..

Vantrue or VIOFO. They both use the Sony Starvis image sensor and have great quality. The cameras are pretty set and forget if you opt for the hardwire kit. It will turn on and off with the car and start recording as soon as it starts up. The included power adapter does the same thing if your power port in your car turns off with the ignition.

There are a few bigger brands, tho you never heard of them probably. I have 2 vantru cameras in 2 cars. About $165 each. Work fine. 2 camera install for each ( front and back) get a memory card ( a heavy duty or their suggested one) This particular brand has a "capacitor battery" instead of standard battery... resists in-car heat better than a battery. They're a good idea... my daughter was in an accident, ... other I lady ran a stop sign, and luckily it was caught on a home security camera. Made it a slam dunk case... swore from that moment to put a camera in every car.

I bought the Dongar kit that is plug and play to the rain sensor connection behind the mirror. No splicing no cutting. Just plug into the existing connectors. The only problem is it's constant power. So I went with the Vantrue E1 pro because it can switch in and out of parking mode based on motion alone and doesn't need switched power. When I return the car just unplug the connector and it's back to factory condition.

They don't do well in hot climates and in the summer here it gets over 100 f. So one day the camera just died. I started a claim and they made me make all these videos trying to get it to work. Eventually they determined it needed to be replaced and sent a new one after they recieved the dead one. The replacement didn't work either. So I had to do the entire process again. Luckily the third camera was the charm. Now I take my camera with me inside so it doesn't bake in the heat.

If you only need a front cam, Vantrue E1 Pro is a solid choice. It records in 4K and the video quality is great. if you want to use parking mode, you'll need to get a hardwire kit or an OBD cable to keep it powered while the car is off.

Vantrue for years. Just picked up an E1 Pro for the Starvis 2 sensor and it's mini sized. E1 says it operates up to 158°.

Not going to lie - it was more difficult than I expected in my ND3 RF, but still very doable. I scratched up the housing a bit and did break a tab, but it still went back together and doesn't rattle. The scratches are in an area I can't see when sitting in the seat, so they don't bother me. Also I believe the replacement parts from Mazda are pretty cheap, if you do end up breaking it. If you look through the comments on my profile from about a month ago, I commented on an older thread that has some discussion, videos, and replacement parts numbers when I was installing mine.

I think it may have been my fault. Wife got me a front windshield cover that opens like an umbrella, I forgot to take the camera down so it was cooked. The inside cam worked, the forward camera blanked out

Vantrue E1 Pro is "real" 4K. A lot of those cheaper cams just upscale from a lower resolution and slap a 4K label on it. Not saying they're all junk, but don't expect real 4K quality from a $60 cam.

I'm using the VanTrue E1 Pro. I installed it just last weekend (life got in the way of doing it sooner). It is working pretty well. It goes into parking mode without any issue. I have it set to only G sensor for lowest power consumption. Once an impact is felt it boots up and records for 30 seconds then goes back to sleep (if there isn't continued trigger events). The only minor issue I have ran in to is that it will detect the closing of the door as an event and wake up, but if I don't start driving within those 30 seconds, it will go back to sleep and if I drive off gently enough it doesn't wake up right away. However, even the most gentle driving will trigger it before very long. Then it will stay active and record the entire drive. I may play with the parking trigger sensitivity to see if that helps. So far it has sat from about 5pm until about 7:30am the next day and was still receiving power. The Dongar has a small blue LED. I'm not sure what would happen over a longer period. I am planning to unplug the camera when the car sits for extended periods like on vacation, but I'm hoping I can leave it for a day or 2 over a weekend. Haven't had a chance to look at any of the recorded video yet so can't give a review on that part. Likely won't have a chance to dive into that before next month as life is crazy at the moment.

Yes, it's adjustable in the settings. I have it set to 30 seconds. So it will display for 30 seconds and then it goes dark for the rest of the ride. You can press a button to wake it if you want to see something. The only thing that indicates it's recording is a slow blinking green light and I believe even that can be disabled, but I like to know it's working so I left that on.

I have a 2025 ES350 and am happy with the Vantrue E1 Pro which records in 4k and has really good image quality even at night. * From the driver's seat I can see <10% of the bottom of it based on where I mounted it. * It is not distracting as there is a setting which disables the screen. I have a Vantru in the semi that I've had since late 2020, it records 24/7/365, I just replaced the memory card, but it works perfectly.

I'm currently using the Vantrue E1 Pro and I've been happy with it. It's easy to install and the compact size makes it easy to tuck behind the rearview mirror so it stays out of sight.

Highly recommend ventrue e1 pro if looking for compact 4K dashcam

I am running a Vantrue E1 Pro in mine. It is slightly more expensive than the Viofo, but it is absolutely tiny - as in I literally cannot see it at all behind the rear view mirror. I also wired it into the rear view mirror so there are no cables running through the cabin.
