I have a Rove 4K dash cam in my 2013 Highlander and it works really well. I have a FitCamX in my 2020 Corolla hybrid and it works well but it doesn't have the screen and some of the other bells and whistles of the Rove. I like that the fitcam looks factory but if you're wanting something with a little bit more bells and whistles the Rove is nice
r/ToyotaHighlander • Dash Cams.. ->I have a Rove R2-4K in my Highlander and I really like it. I connect it to the mirror for power. I think I paid about $200
r/ToyotaHighlander • Dashcam ->I like and use the ROVE R2-4K....not fancy, but gets the job done for one front facing camera.
r/Dashcam • Best front facing dash cam for under $200? ->I use the ROVE R2-4K. It's a basic front view dashcam that I just use with a card. I like that it's easy to install to the windshield and easy to remove.
r/Dashcam • Walmart/Sams dash cams ->I got the ROVE R2-4K recently and love it...its supercapacitor based so no issues of lithium batteries heating up. And the day and night quality is very good, I upgraded from an Aukey DR02 which I had for over 5 years to this and it's quite good so far.
r/DubaiPetrolHeads • What's a good, cheap dashcam? ->I have a Rove R2-4K and only just started using the parking mode. I tested, and it does come on and start recording when the g sensor is triggered even with the ignition off and key removed. Mine is a bit older and is a single cam, but it says when I enable parking mode that it has an internal power source so no battery connection is required, but I did buy an ODB power adapter so the wire wasn't visible going to the USB port. I like mine so much that I bought a dual cam rove r2 for my wife's car and just bought a sl third one for my brother for Christmas. Got both (dual cam versions) for $99 and they came with a micro sd card that works fine for now but will probably replace the card sooner than if I bought a better quality one. Video quality is pretty good even on the rear cam.
r/Dashcam • My parked car got hit twice this year, looking for a dashcam that actually helps in parking mode ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

I just returned the ROVE R2-4K. I even cant see the plate in front of 10 fts during daytime. I plan to try A229 plus dual.
r/mazda • What budget+reliable Dashcams do you guys use? ->I have the Rove R2-4K and am very happy with it. https://www.rovedashcam.com/products/rove-r2-4k-car-dashcam
r/BroncoSport • Dashcam recommendations? ->I have a Rove 4k in my truck. I was able to get an accessory plug so it is powered off the rear view mirror; no running of wires. I got the Ford Thinkware dashcam for my wife's Ranger. It wires directly into OBD for continuous power which my Rove doesn't have. However Ford sells an older Thinkware that doesn't have wireless access..... Huge disappointment. There's nothing fancy about the Rove but it wasn't super expensive either
r/f150 • Dash Cam recommendations ->I've got a Rove R2-4K in my Rav4. Is this one better?
r/rav4club • Is this a dash cam ? ->I have a Rove R2-4K and only just started using the parking mode. r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →+1 for the Rove. I've been using it for around 5 years, always take it down at the end of my shift.
r/Truckers • View on Reddit →You can set the impact intensity. My doors don't trigger it. My trunk will occasionally trigger it because my husband is heavy handed.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →My wife and I have the Rove R2 4K. We live in Wisconsin so it gets a mix of freezing temps for weeks at a time and heat in the summer. She parks in the garage and my car is left outside. Sometimes my car doesn't move for weeks at a time in the summer and just bakes in the heat. We've had zero issues having them for 3 years now. We both have a generic $20 Amazon rear view mirror mount. It just wraps around the mirror stem so you don't have to mess with suction cups or tape. It's just a set and forget it. Decent amount of options to customize in the settings
r/civic • View on Reddit →I currently have a couple of ROVE r2 4k. I got on sale over 1 year ago. They work great. Had a much cheaper amazon one for 5+ years, no problems, worked when needed. I dont think you can go wrong. Tech is reliable in my experience, Dont over spend.
r/ram_trucks • View on Reddit →I have a Rove R2-4K in my Highlander and I really like it. I connect it to the mirror for power. I think I paid about $200
r/ToyotaHighlander • View on Reddit →That are normally $99. I have two. The suction cup failed so I used 3M heavy duty two sided adhesive. I recently bought red tiger.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I rather like my Rove R2. It was $120 and pretty easy to work with and install
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I have a rover from Amazon. Has a Sony sensors and Records in 4k
r/askcarguys • View on Reddit →Rove dash cams are great. I have three. R2-4K $120
r/Miata • View on Reddit →After using Rexings for 10+ years I thought they looked a bit dated, so my latest find is a Rove R2-4K, was $99 and included front, rear and a 128GB SD card. Been using it for two months, pretty happy with it!
r/Camry • View on Reddit →Noticed in Project Farms youtube it came in 4th with minimal differences from 2nd and 3rd. Only the Viofo did a good amount better. Viofo has to use proprietary sim cards which are like 40 bucks, so I like your suggestion. It's a 100 dollars on Amazon right now for front, rear, and 128gb SD Card. Main difference is when in direct sunlight, the Rove struggles to see street signs well but the Viofo does really well. Any thoughts in general?
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →I had an issue with my Viofo not saving clips. I had an accident that it didn't capture and of course the other person lied. Took 7 months of arbitration. I got a Rove 4k instead and it's great!
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →Sure thing. The rove brand has an app and an SD card in the cam. You can get on the app and download footage to your phone - that was a hot seller for me.
r/f150 • View on Reddit →I have a rove 4k and it works fine records front and back
r/Challenger • View on Reddit →Check out the Rove cameras on Amazon. I have the Rove2-4K and it is a pretty nice setup.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →I have a VIOFO A229 Plus in my EUV. A little pricy (around $200) but the quality is good and I like that it makes it easy to have a front and rear camera. Also, it has a good WiFi connection (uses 5GHz), so downloading videos off the device is pretty quick (my previous dashcam, a rove r2-4k, had an awful WiFi chip, so downloading a minute-long video would take upwards of 10 minutes. Which was borderline useless when I just wanted to quickly get the video and pass it along to someone).
r/BoltEV • View on Reddit →No issues, Rove R2-4K off amazon works perfect
r/subaru • View on Reddit →Yeah, half of these don't connect to WiFi (customer reporting), won't stay on, can't download unless near cam, won't power on, etc. When the reviews of negatives outweighs the positives, I'd be leery of just throwing brands out there... (Walmart? really?) Always do your own home work. I did a google search and looked at all these 'brands' (Especially the Rove R2 and RedTiger)... Just do the research, there is a lot of 'crap' out there. One way to tell; Do the housing on various models all look alike (same batch manufacturer)?
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I use a rove 4k in my car and I know alot of truckers use it also, the kit comes with a suction cup and a cig lighter power cable so you can plug it in and remove it as you like
r/Truckers • View on Reddit →I have a Rove R2-4K I really like. They make a Dual front and back combo I see on Amazon for $130 marked down from $200.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →* Rove R2-4K off amazon. Work really well and connects wirelessly to your phone so you can transfer video files easily. I've had a few dash cams before and always found the nighttime video to be so bad it's basically useless unless you are in an extremely well lit city. This dash cam is phenomenal at night in comparison. I put it on the right side of the passenger eyesight camera and have never had a problem with it interfering with the eyesight system. Your car should have an EyeSight manual check the index for "About EyeSight" and there should be a diagram in there for the prohibited attachment areas on your specific cars windshield.
r/subaru • View on Reddit →Mine I'd just plugged into the lighter and I've had no issues it alerts fine. You just only get however much juice the cam has on hand to record since not hardwired.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →Yeah and the sim cards are 40 dollars! The other person in this thread mentioned the Rove R2. It's 100 dollars right now for black friday (usually 130), comes with a sim card of 128gb and a rear dashcam. It's 4k and in Project Farms testing came in like 4th out of 10 with minimal difference, only Viofo came a good amount ahead but 2-4th were close. I know Viofo is a good amount better but for almost 70 dollars less I think the Rove R2 is good enough. Main difference between the two is how good it sees in direct sunlight and it's just a bit worse. What do you think?
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →I'll piggy back off what someone else said. Rove R2. Me and the wife both have them in our cars. We like them ALOT! It's like $120 bucks on Amazon, they basically do everything else the competition does. We also bought a generic mirror stem adapter for them. We have it clamped around the rear view mirror. It's flawless. Basically a set it up and leave it situation. Since our 12v plug ins are keyed to power we never have to touch it
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →I have the Rove 2, front channel only, and I like it. It will record 10-minute loops, it can be hard-wired or run off USB, and it works well. Rove also has really good tech support. I had an issue with one of my 2 cameras and they replaced it, no questions asked. Just sent me a new one and had me send the faulty one back.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →I recently installed the ROVE R2-4K on the truck and the wife's car. Easy setup and they look great. If he has an auto dimming mirror, you can tap into the power for the camera and not have a power cable to run.
r/ram_trucks • View on Reddit →I have the ROVE r2-4k front and Rear facing.... my previous came was the same brand but it was only the front facing one. I might take it back out and put back in my car to use as a cabin cam, since I haven't sold it to anyone...
r/uberdrivers • View on Reddit →I got the ROVE R2/4K from Amazon. Cheap, works well, high ratings
r/subaru • View on Reddit →I got a Rove R2-4K from amazon, it includes a rear camera for like $100. They also have a package deal that will include a lens cover for the camera that reduces glare for $120, that's the package i bought and videos are super clear with it. It captures great video. The app is fast and makes it super easy to download videos. I dont think id buy a different camera after owning this one.
r/ram_trucks • View on Reddit →Most 4k (that I have looked into) are actually split, or divided, like its the total including the rear cam. I have a rove, its 4k, yet not the front nor rear is actually 4k alone. So personally, I would not recommend buying less than a 4k (plus the 1080p on my rear cam is in no way near as good of quality as the front cam, can't imagine decifiering plates off it). Just my experience / opinion. Strange your videos take that long to download. A 3 min video for mine takes seconds. Idk, maybe something in your settings? Worth double-checking.
r/Civic_Type_R • View on Reddit →10 minutes is the longest loop. Otherwise, it is record until the end of storage and then it stops.
r/Dashcam • View on Reddit →The rove r2-4k plugs into the lighter and has a parking mode where it will record for 5 minutes after impact to attempt to catch the perp hitting your car from internal juice it has saved.
r/dashcams • View on Reddit →After a decade of Rexing and feeling like they weren't progressing, I went with a ROVE R2-4K for my latest dash cam and am quite happy.
r/Camry • View on Reddit →I've got rove cams front and rear in my truck and my wife's. Power is tapped from the mirror in both with the mentioned adapter. Auto on and off with the ignition and couldn't be happier.
r/f150 • View on Reddit →I bought a ROVE R2 4K on Amazon in December of 2021 and it still works perfectly. I never leave it in my car if it's parked though. I always bring it inside. I tried several other cameras and they all died insanely fast, days, weeks or months, after leaving them in the car.
