It's likely that the dashcam provided by Hyundai does not have Sony starvis 2 sensor. 70mai A510, A810 etc all have it. It makes a huge difference in clarity, especially at night time. I'd get it from outside. Passenger electric seats and driver memory are very nice, though. Wireless CarPlay is through an adapter, so one of your usb ports will be blocked.

70mai A810 + Dongar connector

70mai A810 on my 2023 Forester. Used a Dongar adaptor to take power directly from the auto dimming mirror.

Look into Dongar connector and alike. It'll power from auto dimming mirror socket For dashcam, I like 70mai but the best kind you can get is likely one with Sony Starvis 2 sensor for optimal license plate capturing.

I have used both brands along with a hardware kit. The 70 Mai battery tends to die after about two years, but if you're using a hardware kit, there shouldn't be any issues. You can find replacement batteries on AliExpress. On the other hand, my Viofo dashcam stopped working it might be due to the heat , including the replacement, even though they experienced the same issue. My car is always parked in the sun. However, I have found that Viofo's customer support is better than that of any other brand. I'm not sure about their support in the UAE.

A little out of your price range but 70mai A810 is really good. I have it on most of my cars. I have a couple of A800s, which are pretty good (and closer to your budget) and a BlackVue 900s and 900x. BlackVue cameras are good quality but the app is so bad. I'm considering replacing both my BlackVue with the upcoming 70mai T800 camera (they are having a Kickstarter now - launches in August 2025)

I once have a cam for $5 before tariff. It supports loop recording. 70 mai is reliable. The front is most important and you may not need the other directions. If you can't see anything on the front, that means you didn't hit.

I like my 70mai paired with a Samsung high durability micro SD card.

These are good. So is the 70Mai A810, better sensor than the Viofo A119 or A229. The A810 has the same sensor as the Viofo A329, but at less than half the cost. I wouldn't be surprised if the Viofo and 70Mai are manufactured in the same production line...their form factors are strikingly similar. If privacy because of country of origin is an issue, might want to look at other brands.

I currently have the Xiaomi 70Mai A800s 4K in front and 1080p in the back, I have had it for about a year and everything is excellent. I previously had the version that follows the A810 but the rear camera cable failed and I ended up returning it. The difference between the A800s and the A810 is the sensor, the first comes with Starvis 1 and the second with the most recent Starvis 2. Zero problems with the app, very good quality at night.

$50 70mai in the front, 2017 $50 Yi in the back. The Yi is way better I just picked up an extra one in case my 70mai acts up again. I ran a really long cable to the center console for the rear camera. For the front camera I used a dongar brand harness that splits the power from the rear view dimming mirror.

Cool, so the above 4 brands mentioned above are worth looking at. Dual channel for back and front. FWIW, I'm on Rove and it's been great. I know others are fans of Viofo, DDPai, 70mai too.

A rechargeable RTC battery should be fine, first because it should be located in the cool part of the camera, as Viofo's are, and second because the charge and discharge rates are extremely slow. A main lithium battery is a totally different matter, they need to be charged rapidly, with enough power to shutdown safely, before the camera can start recording, and they are big enough that they often don't fit in the cool part of the camera. 70mai are not too bad, their normal camera design allows the battery to stay reasonably cool, and they use Li Ion cells instead of Lipos. There have been a few reports of Viofo RTC batteries needing to replaced, but it is unusual, and I don't think it is due to heat problems.

My kwid is with my brother so can't make video. Go with dashcam that has Sony starvis 2 sensor , front and back camera , front 4k. I have 79mai A810 on my kwid and kushaq, no issues so far. You can go with that. On budget side, I hear Qubo is good but I dont have experience. If you have someone visiting from US ,then you can buy it from Amazon US, it is usually available at around $120-130 which is much cheaper than buying from here.

My suggestion is to watch YouTube comparison videos. I have been in your position. I've been driving for almost 3 years and I haven't had a single accident. But I see a lot of dangerous driving. There are also a lot of parking accidents in UK. My first choice was FitcamX because it's easy to install and it looks like a native car camera, but after more research I abandoned that idea. Because the lens quality is poor, it doesn't have built-in GPS, it doesn't record at night because it's not hardwired, etc. A lot of the advertising for 4K dascams is also deceptive because the lens quality of many of them is poor as well. So you won't be able to read a registration on night footage. My final choice is the 70mai A810. I'm happy with it for now. The lens quality is good. It has GPS and a speed sensor. It's hardwired, so it has a parking monitor mode or crash detection. It feels safe.

810 4k is worth it. Alternative you can go with 510 and install CPL filter with the money you save. Only drawback I am facing with 810 after 2 years is slow PAYBACK and download speed on App.

The best suggestion... simply go on to Youtube and watch some dashcam videos... almost all of them have the make and model embedded into the video. Personally, I chose 70mai based on the images I had watched and the price points vs features I wanted.

Based from my experience lang pero still depends on your preference: - get at least 1080p resolution if possible - check quality of video kapag gabi. Yung free dashcam sa mitsubishi nung bumili kami ng unit last year is ok kapag morning pero pag gabi di masyado makita mga sasakyan. - get those with simple interface and may buttons. Kapag mas madali navigation mas madali ka makakapag review ng recordings. - i like everything stock including the rearview mirror. Kaya I prefer yung may separate unit na dashcam and hindi yung pinapalitan/ sinasabit sa rearview mirror kasi nagiiba yung depth perception sa salamin. - personal reco is 70mai A800/A810, ticks all the boxes of what im looking for and has 4k recording. Mejo may kamahalan lang. Also, no you dont necesarily need to replace memory card pag puno na. Just reformat or some dashcams have cyclical recording where they overwrite recordings.

70mai a810 is all you need currently. Hands down best cam dollar for dollar. Cheap mount options available on aliexpress and similar orient marketplaces if you need that flexibility.

Interesting, never seen that one shop.skoda-auto.cz . They seem to be Pioneer, not an official Skoda accessory because they lack the part number. Maybe it's a partnership at local importer in Belgium. I've seen them in our local tech shops recently but they lack user reviews and they're long way from beating 70mai(Xiaomi) 😁

He's lying, just trying to get you to buy their accessory dashcam. Just powering it through the 12v socket is no problem. But if you want 24/7 parking monitoring, then you'll have to hardwire it, which can cause warranty problems. So if you just want normal dashcam functionality go for any 70mai model. If you want parking monitoring also, go for the dealer one, provided they have that function, confirm that.. And get proper confirmation in writing that the dealer fitting will not cause any warranty problems in the future.

I've been using 70mai without any issue. they're also way more affordable.
