I got the 70mai Dash Cam A800S from Blade Megamall. It's a free installation and took about 40 minutes to get installed. I think it's a pretty solid dashcam. Paid around 9K pesos for both front and rear cams. The front records in 4K while the rear's at 1080P.

1) Viofo A129 Pro 2) 70mai A800 SE 3) Vantrue N4 Pro 4) Qubo Hero Pro I have these 4 in my cars. My favorite app to use is Qubo, it's very user friendly and it's a breeze to set up and get it running. My favorite image quality is Vantrue, it's pristine and read things super clear, day and night. My best VFM has to be 70mai tho because the Vantrue is nice but pricey and 70mai does 90% of the stuff for a fraction of the cost. Hope this helps ☺️ Edit: I would also suggest getting front and back. It's more peace of mind. You'll have more evidence and more angles covered.

Had 2 Nextbase 622 and they were shite plus crazy expensive. Purchased 2 70 mai front and rear cams for a quarter of the price and they are miles ahead. That said Viofo are excellent, if you follow Ashley Neal on YT he has discount codes.

Based from my experience lang pero still depends on your preference: - get at least 1080p resolution if possible - check quality of video kapag gabi. Yung free dashcam sa mitsubishi nung bumili kami ng unit last year is ok kapag morning pero pag gabi di masyado makita mga sasakyan. - get those with simple interface and may buttons. Kapag mas madali navigation mas madali ka makakapag review ng recordings. - i like everything stock including the rearview mirror. Kaya I prefer yung may separate unit na dashcam and hindi yung pinapalitan/ sinasabit sa rearview mirror kasi nagiiba yung depth perception sa salamin. - personal reco is 70mai A800/A810, ticks all the boxes of what im looking for and has 4k recording. Mejo may kamahalan lang. Also, no you dont necesarily need to replace memory card pag puno na. Just reformat or some dashcams have cyclical recording where they overwrite recordings.

A little out of your price range but 70mai A810 is really good. I have it on most of my cars. I have a couple of A800s, which are pretty good (and closer to your budget) and a BlackVue 900s and 900x. BlackVue cameras are good quality but the app is so bad. I'm considering replacing both my BlackVue with the upcoming 70mai T800 camera (they are having a Kickstarter now - launches in August 2025)

Hello All, I am getting my new 2025 NX 350h this weekend. I have a 70mai A800S-01bc Dashcam, which was great for my RAV 4. Would that work for NX 350h? Also, can we install ourselves, or should we go to a mechanic to get it installed?

Congrats, bro! This color looks clean and attractive. I think 70mai is the best one in the market, although I've been using one from NEXDIGITRON and have had no issues. I used DDPAI in the past, but it stopped working just after one year. Another important thing you can get is a tyre inflator and a puncture repair kit. I've been using one from Amazon Basics (https://amzn.in/d/eQnNzK5) for 4 years now, and it hasn't given me any issues.

My last 2 VIOFO's didn't last and had a lot of issues with intermittent recordings on the 70mai, so I've tried a cheaper GKU D700...wish me luck. Dad's had one on his car for about a month and I can't fault it. Front and rear quality is very good.

He's lying, just trying to get you to buy their accessory dashcam. Just powering it through the 12v socket is no problem. But if you want 24/7 parking monitoring, then you'll have to hardwire it, which can cause warranty problems. So if you just want normal dashcam functionality go for any 70mai model. If you want parking monitoring also, go for the dealer one, provided they have that function, confirm that.. And get proper confirmation in writing that the dealer fitting will not cause any warranty problems in the future.

Get a 70mai dual channel dashcam that fits your budgets (preferably with a Sony Starvis 2 sensor) with hardwire kit. Just make sure that the hardwire kit is for the OBD2 port and not the fuses because hardwiring to fusebox may void warranty in case of a lot of car brands, but that's not the case with a connection to the OBD2 port

You can always return it. I see the 70Mai A810 with rear cam for $130. I have the A800s and for the price it's excellent. Good enough quality, good mount, and looks way nicer. I'd expect the 810 to be similar. Yeah it's a bit of a hassle to return it at this point but it's something you'll keep for 5+ years and are relying on to not fail, might as well get the best you can from the start, I think.

I once have a cam for $5 before tariff. It supports loop recording. 70 mai is reliable. The front is most important and you may not need the other directions. If you can't see anything on the front, that means you didn't hit.

No, not hard at all, the camera modules are secured to the glass with a double-sided tape (comes included). Be careful not to obscure the radar at the front, if you have it (the plastic thing behind your rear view mirror) The included cables are plenty long enough to reach from front to back. I have mine just hanging on the passenger handles, but you definitely could pass them under the interior. For the backside camera, I've hidden the cable under the plastic coverings, and it pops out in the bottom corner, not obscuring the back view. I would probably like to hide everything under the panels, but I'm worried about damaging something, as I'm not that mechanically gifted - when I attempt to fix something, I usually then have to fix it 3 times over 😂

$50 70mai in the front, 2017 $50 Yi in the back. The Yi is way better I just picked up an extra one in case my 70mai acts up again. I ran a really long cable to the center console for the rear camera. For the front camera I used a dongar brand harness that splits the power from the rear view dimming mirror.

Get an A800S dashcam on Aliexpress (made by 70mai - Xiaomi). It's like 150 USD if you want the bundle with front+rear cameras and international shipping. https://70mai.store/collections/dash-cam/products/a800s-dash-cam Been using one for almost two years. People don't even notice the camera installed in the back of the rearview mirror, it has parking mode (using a hardwire kit), you can get video and photos over wifi or by taking out the SD card, and it records in 4K. It also has GPS to include coordinates and speed in your recordings. I live in Mexico in a place where temps can get up to 45°C (113°F) and by installing it on the black part of the windshield the camera doesn't get very hot.

A rechargeable RTC battery should be fine, first because it should be located in the cool part of the camera, as Viofo's are, and second because the charge and discharge rates are extremely slow. A main lithium battery is a totally different matter, they need to be charged rapidly, with enough power to shutdown safely, before the camera can start recording, and they are big enough that they often don't fit in the cool part of the camera. 70mai are not too bad, their normal camera design allows the battery to stay reasonably cool, and they use Li Ion cells instead of Lipos. There have been a few reports of Viofo RTC batteries needing to replaced, but it is unusual, and I don't think it is due to heat problems.

The best suggestion... simply go on to Youtube and watch some dashcam videos... almost all of them have the make and model embedded into the video. Personally, I chose 70mai based on the images I had watched and the price points vs features I wanted.

I still have a couple of $5 cameras that support loop recording. That's before tariff. They are all made in China. Yi is a long time brand name now and I recommend the 70 mai, about $30, with or without screen. Get a brand name SD card for reliability. For $30 I got a 4K 4 cam one, no wifi. Working fine. It also got the newer tape that I call Vudu tapes. It better than clear mounting tape, which are the only ones that work in CA. Do you want to read the license plate ? Want it at night? No cam can. So you can buy anything. Electronics are hard to break.

I currently have the Xiaomi 70Mai A800s 4K in front and 1080p in the back, I have had it for about a year and everything is excellent. I previously had the version that follows the A810 but the rear camera cable failed and I ended up returning it. The difference between the A800s and the A810 is the sensor, the first comes with Starvis 1 and the second with the most recent Starvis 2. Zero problems with the app, very good quality at night.

Get a 70mai or even better options like Redtiger or DDPAI and use a hardwire kit with it.. It will allow you to record 24/7 and don't forget to check if the hardwire kit has a voltage protection so that the battery will not be drained.
