We have the Mountain Buggy Nano which does "fit" the Cosco Scenera. For whatever reason, our 3yo has decided it's her preferred stroller over our Uppababy so we've used it A LOT in the past few months. As an everyday stroller, it's just ok. I miss the Uppababy's much smoother ride. The big plus is that our kid really likes it. It's a little small. I'm 5'8" and it's a hair too short for me. Both my husband and I have accidentally engaged the brake by taking a big step. The folding/unfolding mechanism is not intuitive, and requires two hands and emptying out nearly all the storage, so it's best used like a regular stroller that you happened to bring on a plane or in a car, it's not something that makes trains and buses that much easier other than being lightweight.

I hadn't really used FB in years, but it is seriously amazing for baby stuff! I got a halo bassinet for free, an Uppababy stroller for $250, and sooo many clothes for like $1-2 each or free. People genuinely just want to get rid of things!!

I'll never regret getting my Uppababy, it was expensive but it's a beast I don't drive so it's been used practically daily for 3 years and it's still perfect, not so much as a wobbly wheel and the size of the basket in the bottom is amazing, I can fit a few days worth of groceries in it, and the bassinet is approved for safe sleep so we were able to use that in the living room for naps till he outgrew it. I could go on, I sound like an ad but seriously it's the best thing we bought for our kid

Depends. I live in a city. A cheap stroller won't last for the amount of time I'll need it for. The uppababy ones were crucial for me. If you're in the burbs I'd largely agree with you.

I wonder if the strollers are different in different markets (or regulated differently). In the US, the V3 is considered safe for infants. I got an old V2 anyway bc I wanted to use the bassinet.

We have the uppababy minu and infant car seat for it. He's 2.5 now so we don't use the car seat and honestly didn't use that for long so idk if it was worth it, but the minu is great. Super light/small and zips easily into a backpack you can carry on your bag and gate check. This is how we travel. I have a Cruz v2 for everyday use and wouldn't travel with it

The Uppababy Vista is great (smooth ride, great for in/out with the car seat early on, lots of storage space below, the snack tray) except it is HUGE, like takes up the entire trunk of your crossover SUV huge, and their parent organizer is terrible (velcro doesn't stay put and eventually damages the stitching on the leather grips). I keep it setup in the garage exclusively for walks around the neighborhood now. You can also almost use it as a jogger. I switched to the Uppababy Minu travel stroller in the car (bought for traveling along with the travel bag). The steering is not great but it's nice and compact and the sun shade is very large. I'll have to go back to the Vista when baby #2 arrives which will most likely mean also upgrading my car so we can all fit!! Plan all along was to give the Minu to my husband after baby #2 arrives so he can have his own stroller for the infant so that's why the double Ubbababy investment. Go to Nordstrom and look at all of them in person. Tell them what your priorities are (compact, full size, travel, multiples, etc.) and they will show you your best options and answer all of your questions. Also measure your trunk! 😅

If you have the aria car seat, would you consider a used UB Minu stroller? It might fit overhead but also can gate check. I have the minu duo with the bag and the bag is pretty solid. Also gate checking the doona, if you plan to also use it as a car seat, runs a risk of damage to the doona which could impact the safety of the seat.

This all makes sense. I would recommend finding a store with the Minu and Cruz so that you can compare sizes-you might decide you only need one (or, alternatively, that you definitely want both). We did an Uppababy travel system (Vista V2, Mesa car seat, bassinet) and found it super easy to use, even when flying. We gatechecked our Vista base and carried the car seat onto the plane, so you can do that with the Cruz or Minu.

Live in Eastern Queens. Have a Vista and it's a beast/huge. It's like the SUV of strollers, used it through different neighborhoods in all 5 boroughs and different terrains outside the city during pumpkin and apple picking times/easy trails. When our kid was around 20 months we got a hand down GB Pockit stroller for the times she didn't want to walk or for city/travel use. The smaller Cruz/Minu may be better for a one fits all solution.

Some stores to check out and explore options are: West coast kids (got my uppa baby here and the staff was wonderful and patient), Snuggle bugz or babies r us. I highly recommend going in and doing a test run of some of the ones you see online. I initially wanted a nuna and changed my mind after a store visit.

I like the Vista. I feel like it's important to make the distinction that the Vista excels at being someone's only stroller that either lives in a walkable city or an area that allows a lot of walking around. For parents who plan on using the Vista as their only stroller and are going to be packing it up into the car frequently, it's not the stroller they should get. I say that as a proud Vista owner. My husband and I were gifted a Minu at our shower - the stroller we asked for - knowing we would use the Minu as our daily driver. The Minu has been wonderful. One handed folding, easy to pop the car seat or bassinet into. Lightweight, and small footprint so maneuvering around stores is easy. The Vista is our home stroller. We use it on our long walks. The shocks are so much better than the Minu and the seat is a lot more comfortable for our now toddler. If we do have another, we plan on using it as a double, so Vista was our choice. I would feel less positively about the Vista if I didn't have my Minu to fit in the spot for taking it to stores and traveling. I agree the Vista is not right for some, but it's great for others. It's worth it for every parent to try them out before deciding on one versus the other.

I mean there isn't any data published. At best you will get anecdotal stories which aren't particularly insightful. Presumably, 99.9% of people who bring strollers have no issues. I have bought higher end strollers (Uppababy, Bugaboo) in a dozen times and had no issues. I use an AirTag, mostly because once or twice cast members have moved them (or my spouse parked it, but I retrieved it) and it's helpful. Personally, I think the concerns about stroller theft are overblown. It's a highly secure and monitored area, that costs hundreds of dollars to enter. I think items in strollers is more common, but even that I think is rampant. Anecdotally I've had no issues and leave both my stroller and items in it unattended for long durations. But, again, without data we are all just speculating.

Having just purchased a travel stroller, we looked at the stokke yoyo, bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu v3, silvercross jet 5, and joolz aer -- all comply with most overhead cabin sizing. I would recommend also purchasing the stroller case/carrier so it looks more like a standard carry-on. Some airline staff might make you gate-check regardless of size once they see that it is a stroller. Having the cover/case will reduce that issue.

Fellow Ottawa mom here - get the Uppababy. We used the bassinet daily for walks and as an extra bassinet for home and travel right up until LO was too big for it. Also, the wheels are super solid and make it a lot easier to navigate Ottawa snowbanks come winter. Not sure if you plan on having more than one kid, but we wanted something that would last for the next one (or two!) and grow with our family. It's true you can find lots used on marketplace, which further reinforced my decision to spring for the Uppababy, because even well used and years old, people are still selling them for $800!

I would strongly suggest not using your car seat on the airplane at that age. Just make sure they have their own seat and bring a blow up thing that goes between the edge of the seat/the back of the seat I front of you. It basically creates a bed for the kiddo. I also suggest the Minu. It's gotten us through Europe. The Uppa Baby car seat also fits into it with adapter things you can buy separately.

I have the Cruz v3 for my 5 mo old and it's amazing on gravel and curbs, but incredibly heavy. I am looking for a travel stroller myself since this isn't it. I tried the minu 3 and returned it because it seemed way too flimsy for the cost. I can't imagine buying another high priced stroller and considering the Aer+ due to one handed fold.

Strollers you get what you pay for (uppababy). Personally I don't think the mesa is worth it though. It seems uncomfortable and if you have a long baby (both of mine were 99% height), they are grown out of it by 6 months old. The stroller is a real gem. Got it because I can afford it, definitely the item to splurge on if you can! (Even second hand, they seem to keep their value)

Just purchased a Bugaboo Fox. I'm moving to Europe with my newborn, and wanted a smoother ride on cobblestone. I also won't have a car so I plan on using it a lot. Curious if anyone has a good or bad review? Or a favorite for Europe? I tried the Uppa Baby and hated how it folded, so I decided not to get it. But I can always return my Bugaboo

Don't fall for the Uppababy hype. While it is a well built stroller,. it is overkill and after using other lightweight strollers feels way too heavy. They are also too big to travel with imo, even in cars unless you have a big SUV or Van. Great if all you are doing is walking flat ground to the park. One exception is possibly for the first couple months when your baby can't hold their head up yet, then it is nice to have a stroller with a bassinet or car-seat compatible options. Maybe see if you can borrow one for those couple months and then switch to something lighter after. Or just use a carrier for those months. (Although the Joolz does have a bassinet option also) If I was starting over I'd probably just go with one of the Joolz light weight stroller that also is easy to travel with. I've heard good things about the yoyo also. We took the Joolz Aer to Europe, fit in the overhead compartment and handled the cobble stone streets great.

We have a nuna triv and plan on using it as our primary stroller. We also have a silver cross reef for big/long walks in our neighborhood & uppababy minu for travel. I think the triv is big enough for daily/regular use but it's light enough that I can carry it & it doesn't feel super heavy. We got it as an unexpected gift from a friend, so we already had the other two prior 💀 otherwise I think we could've been ok with just the triv! The only thing I dislike about it is that the baby feels like they're kinda low to the ground. With the nuna mixx and silver cross the seat is a big higher but idk if that's a deal breaker for everyone or just me lol.

You won't find an overhead bin travel stroller that'll take your car seat except the uppababy minu v3 which is out of your budget, you need additional adapters as well. If you'll only use it for the trip you could always resell it afterwards and end up spending less than $250. Does it need to take the car seat though?

I have the minu v3 and the Yoyo Babyzen 2. Honestly can't really go wrong with either of those for travel strollers. They both fold very compact. I still use my regular stroller 90 percent of the time though because travel strollers are never going to have great suspension and you do feel all the cracks and bumps of the sidewalk.

I wanted an Uppababy and ended up having to just buy it online because I couldn't find it anywhere locally. I know Once Upon a Child in Monroeville and North Hills has used strollers, but it's very limited selection. But if you stalk their Instagram they usually post new things daily, so you can see if a side-by-side comes in.

I wish the Joolz Aer had magnetic buckles and a non-zipper reline. Then it would be the perfect true one-hand fold stroller. There are so many videos online that show how easy it is to unfold all these travel strollers, but most of them actually get stuck when unfolding and you need to fling hard. I wouldn't even consider the Uppababy Minu V3, Ergobaby Metro 3 truly one-handed. I actually was surprised that some cheaper strollers were actually real one-hand fold and unfold. The Peg Perego Selfie and Guzzie and Guss O2 both felt like butter. Unfortunately their canopies were too small or too close to the face.

It's a personal choice that really depends on your preference and your lifestyle. I have a Vista and a Minu and while there are circumstances where I'm very happy to have the Minu, I generally prefer the Vista and am glad we have that as a primary stroller. My toddler is usually out of the apartment and on the go with his nanny most of the day, and I know she appreciates having ample room for the diaper bag and lots of other random stuff that they take out (umbrella, rain guard, toys, travel potty). That said, if we're going to a restaurant, on the subway, on the bus, or another small space, I tend to avoid bringing the Vista. I think I've folded the Vista maybe once in the last 3 years.
