I'll never regret getting my Uppababy, it was expensive but it's a beast I don't drive so it's been used practically daily for 3 years and it's still perfect, not so much as a wobbly wheel and the size of the basket in the bottom is amazing, I can fit a few days worth of groceries in it, and the bassinet is approved for safe sleep so we were able to use that in the living room for naps till he outgrew it. I could go on, I sound like an ad but seriously it's the best thing we bought for our kid

The Uppababy Vista is great (smooth ride, great for in/out with the car seat early on, lots of storage space below, the snack tray) except it is HUGE, like takes up the entire trunk of your crossover SUV huge, and their parent organizer is terrible (velcro doesn't stay put and eventually damages the stitching on the leather grips). I keep it setup in the garage exclusively for walks around the neighborhood now. You can also almost use it as a jogger. I switched to the Uppababy Minu travel stroller in the car (bought for traveling along with the travel bag). The steering is not great but it's nice and compact and the sun shade is very large. I'll have to go back to the Vista when baby #2 arrives which will most likely mean also upgrading my car so we can all fit!! Plan all along was to give the Minu to my husband after baby #2 arrives so he can have his own stroller for the infant so that's why the double Ubbababy investment. Go to Nordstrom and look at all of them in person. Tell them what your priorities are (compact, full size, travel, multiples, etc.) and they will show you your best options and answer all of your questions. Also measure your trunk! 😅

We have the Mountain Buggy Nano which does "fit" the Cosco Scenera. For whatever reason, our 3yo has decided it's her preferred stroller over our Uppababy so we've used it A LOT in the past few months. As an everyday stroller, it's just ok. I miss the Uppababy's much smoother ride. The big plus is that our kid really likes it. It's a little small. I'm 5'8" and it's a hair too short for me. Both my husband and I have accidentally engaged the brake by taking a big step. The folding/unfolding mechanism is not intuitive, and requires two hands and emptying out nearly all the storage, so it's best used like a regular stroller that you happened to bring on a plane or in a car, it's not something that makes trains and buses that much easier other than being lightweight.

I hadn't really used FB in years, but it is seriously amazing for baby stuff! I got a halo bassinet for free, an Uppababy stroller for $250, and sooo many clothes for like $1-2 each or free. People genuinely just want to get rid of things!!

I wonder if the strollers are different in different markets (or regulated differently). In the US, the V3 is considered safe for infants. I got an old V2 anyway bc I wanted to use the bassinet.

If you have the aria car seat, would you consider a used UB Minu stroller? It might fit overhead but also can gate check. I have the minu duo with the bag and the bag is pretty solid. Also gate checking the doona, if you plan to also use it as a car seat, runs a risk of damage to the doona which could impact the safety of the seat.

Uppababy minu v2 was perfect for us - price point, one the smaller side (vs vista), and I could easily carry it up and down stairs (we live on the second floor) and didn't take up the entire trunk of my hatchback. Our friend has the bassinet they no longer needed so that was a win for us.

Depends. I live in a city. A cheap stroller won't last for the amount of time I'll need it for. The uppababy ones were crucial for me. If you're in the burbs I'd largely agree with you.

We have the uppababy minu and infant car seat for it. He's 2.5 now so we don't use the car seat and honestly didn't use that for long so idk if it was worth it, but the minu is great. Super light/small and zips easily into a backpack you can carry on your bag and gate check. This is how we travel. I have a Cruz v2 for everyday use and wouldn't travel with it

Started with Vista and ran into issues (subway travel, too big for grocery stores, painful to lift overhead daily to place in a stroller rack at daycare). Got the minu, so much happier. Minu for everyday in NYC; Vista for walks in the park and travel outside the city (most of the US tends to have larger interior spaces that do accommodate the big stroller!)

I would strongly suggest not using your car seat on the airplane at that age. Just make sure they have their own seat and bring a blow up thing that goes between the edge of the seat/the back of the seat I front of you. It basically creates a bed for the kiddo. I also suggest the Minu. It's gotten us through Europe. The Uppa Baby car seat also fits into it with adapter things you can buy separately.

Don't fall for the Uppababy hype. While it is a well built stroller,. it is overkill and after using other lightweight strollers feels way too heavy. They are also too big to travel with imo, even in cars unless you have a big SUV or Van. Great if all you are doing is walking flat ground to the park. One exception is possibly for the first couple months when your baby can't hold their head up yet, then it is nice to have a stroller with a bassinet or car-seat compatible options. Maybe see if you can borrow one for those couple months and then switch to something lighter after. Or just use a carrier for those months. (Although the Joolz does have a bassinet option also) If I was starting over I'd probably just go with one of the Joolz light weight stroller that also is easy to travel with. I've heard good things about the yoyo also. We took the Joolz Aer to Europe, fit in the overhead compartment and handled the cobble stone streets great.

Second hand is the way to go. Also, you're going to use the travel stroller 99% of the time if you live in a city. Full sized strollers are just too hard to navigate. I bought a UB Cruz and a Minu and the Minu is always our go-to.

We have the Nuna infant car seat and loved to use it with our UppaBaby. Although, all the separate attachments do add up. But I think you could make it work without all the extras. A lot of people around me have the Nuna system. Obsessed with the bassinet UppaBaby includes. Still use it for our toddler...she sits up in it and it can hold all of her snacks & toys at the same time lol

Just purchased a Bugaboo Fox. I'm moving to Europe with my newborn, and wanted a smoother ride on cobblestone. I also won't have a car so I plan on using it a lot. Curious if anyone has a good or bad review? Or a favorite for Europe? I tried the Uppa Baby and hated how it folded, so I decided not to get it. But I can always return my Bugaboo

I like the Vista. I feel like it's important to make the distinction that the Vista excels at being someone's only stroller that either lives in a walkable city or an area that allows a lot of walking around. For parents who plan on using the Vista as their only stroller and are going to be packing it up into the car frequently, it's not the stroller they should get. I say that as a proud Vista owner. My husband and I were gifted a Minu at our shower - the stroller we asked for - knowing we would use the Minu as our daily driver. The Minu has been wonderful. One handed folding, easy to pop the car seat or bassinet into. Lightweight, and small footprint so maneuvering around stores is easy. The Vista is our home stroller. We use it on our long walks. The shocks are so much better than the Minu and the seat is a lot more comfortable for our now toddler. If we do have another, we plan on using it as a double, so Vista was our choice. I would feel less positively about the Vista if I didn't have my Minu to fit in the spot for taking it to stores and traveling. I agree the Vista is not right for some, but it's great for others. It's worth it for every parent to try them out before deciding on one versus the other.

We have the uppababy travel system and love it. The car seats are super light and easy to click into the bases and stroller. The bassinets are amazing for walks and visiting people. And overall the system is sleek enough to fit through narrow doors and store aisles while also super smooth even in uneven sidewalks

This all makes sense. I would recommend finding a store with the Minu and Cruz so that you can compare sizes-you might decide you only need one (or, alternatively, that you definitely want both). We did an Uppababy travel system (Vista V2, Mesa car seat, bassinet) and found it super easy to use, even when flying. We gatechecked our Vista base and carried the car seat onto the plane, so you can do that with the Cruz or Minu.

The vista is a real beast - we have two kids and our nanny always uses it, but I don't like using it because its just so big. Super helpful with two kids and all their gear etc, but big. We used a Cruz when we just had one and it was great for that. We also have an uppababy minu which I use more than anything else now that the older kid walks everywhere and the littler one is almost big enough to be doing that. I reckon you'll be great with the Cruz.

I mean there isn't any data published. At best you will get anecdotal stories which aren't particularly insightful. Presumably, 99.9% of people who bring strollers have no issues. I have bought higher end strollers (Uppababy, Bugaboo) in a dozen times and had no issues. I use an AirTag, mostly because once or twice cast members have moved them (or my spouse parked it, but I retrieved it) and it's helpful. Personally, I think the concerns about stroller theft are overblown. It's a highly secure and monitored area, that costs hundreds of dollars to enter. I think items in strollers is more common, but even that I think is rampant. Anecdotally I've had no issues and leave both my stroller and items in it unattended for long durations. But, again, without data we are all just speculating.

mom of one with a second on the way -- If it markets itself as newborn ready, I think that recline should be fine. the "flat" idea is just so they dont slide around. don't get the metro+, unless they've made improvements I haven't seen to the canopy -- you'll want lots of shade for your newborn. i LOVE my original Minu (and would love the V2 even more), but the Joolz Aer is slightly more travel-friendly if that is important to you. It is small enough to bring into the airplane cabin if you're concerned about gate checking and is lighter/smaller. And you are smart to prioritize one-hand fold, that is crucial! And the reason I do NOT like the YoYo.

Some stores to check out and explore options are: West coast kids (got my uppa baby here and the staff was wonderful and patient), Snuggle bugz or babies r us. I highly recommend going in and doing a test run of some of the ones you see online. I initially wanted a nuna and changed my mind after a store visit.

I wanted an Uppababy and ended up having to just buy it online because I couldn't find it anywhere locally. I know Once Upon a Child in Monroeville and North Hills has used strollers, but it's very limited selection. But if you stalk their Instagram they usually post new things daily, so you can see if a side-by-side comes in.

We love our Minu v2 (v3 came out the week after we purchased ours). I love how light and compact it is. I take it on 3+ miles a lot and use the Bassinet attachment since our baby is 3mo. LOVE the one handed collapse. I kind of wish we got the v3 but overall I love it. Edited to add that this is our only stroller and the only one I intend on having. I'd rather have one that does most things really well than have multiple ones that do a single thing excellently.

We have a nuna triv and plan on using it as our primary stroller. We also have a silver cross reef for big/long walks in our neighborhood & uppababy minu for travel. I think the triv is big enough for daily/regular use but it's light enough that I can carry it & it doesn't feel super heavy. We got it as an unexpected gift from a friend, so we already had the other two prior 💀 otherwise I think we could've been ok with just the triv! The only thing I dislike about it is that the baby feels like they're kinda low to the ground. With the nuna mixx and silver cross the seat is a big higher but idk if that's a deal breaker for everyone or just me lol.

The minu's backboard seat is super flimsy. It literally feels like cardboard wrapped in fabric. My baby had a hard time sitting straight in it. Somehow it forces her to slide forward. It's a good looking stroller but the seat is junk. My friend has the butterfly and the seat just looks so much comfier.

Thoughts about the uppababy MINUs - Minu v1 I think this is the only version that has a collapsible bassinet option. I do not think you can buy this version from uppababy anymore or the bassinet accessory. I've seen these floating around Facebook marketplace sometimes. - Minu v2: uppababy just stopped making Minu v2s but all the accessories are still available at their website, and lots of Minu v2s are still in stock in most retailers and goodbuygear. I previously had a Minu v2 and I absolutely loved it. You can get car seat adapters so it can be compatible with uppababy's car seat and bassinet attachment (which is safe sleep approved), and then at 3mo you can start using the regular seat. The only thing is you need to uninstall the fabric seat to use the bassinet with the adapters, but I didn't need the fabric seat at the time anyways. -Minu v3: uppababy just released this version, it is about the size of the bugaboo butterfly now so it can go on the overhead compartment of the plane. It has sturdier wheels than the butterfly and is "newborn friendly." Unfortunately uppababy decided not to make the traditional bassinet compatible with this stroller, but the seat almost lies flat so it's "not necessary." It does have car seat adapters though so that is helpful. None of the minus have reversible seats. But the Minu v2 has the bassinet that you can have facing toward you. Note on the YOYOs: I have less experience with the yo-yo, but i briefly used the newborn attachment and I really found it handy. It was nice to have a super compact stroller in tight spaces where I could potentially lay my little one for a nap in a friends house or restaurant. The yo-yo also has a bassinet shell that can be used, and car seat adapters for the nuna. However I think you have to use one adapter/set at a time (you can't keep the newborn attachment on under and attach the car seat on top. ) The yo-yo2 and 3 frame is the same, but the yoyo3 fabric seat has a much better shade coverage. If you get the full stroller and a newborn pack separately, definitely get the yoyo3 and not a yoyo2. Alternatively you can get the yoyo2 and separately buy a yoyo3 color pack.

It's a personal choice that really depends on your preference and your lifestyle. I have a Vista and a Minu and while there are circumstances where I'm very happy to have the Minu, I generally prefer the Vista and am glad we have that as a primary stroller. My toddler is usually out of the apartment and on the go with his nanny most of the day, and I know she appreciates having ample room for the diaper bag and lots of other random stuff that they take out (umbrella, rain guard, toys, travel potty). That said, if we're going to a restaurant, on the subway, on the bus, or another small space, I tend to avoid bringing the Vista. I think I've folded the Vista maybe once in the last 3 years.

Live in Eastern Queens. Have a Vista and it's a beast/huge. It's like the SUV of strollers, used it through different neighborhoods in all 5 boroughs and different terrains outside the city during pumpkin and apple picking times/easy trails. When our kid was around 20 months we got a hand down GB Pockit stroller for the times she didn't want to walk or for city/travel use. The smaller Cruz/Minu may be better for a one fits all solution.

Fellow Ottawa mom here - get the Uppababy. We used the bassinet daily for walks and as an extra bassinet for home and travel right up until LO was too big for it. Also, the wheels are super solid and make it a lot easier to navigate Ottawa snowbanks come winter. Not sure if you plan on having more than one kid, but we wanted something that would last for the next one (or two!) and grow with our family. It's true you can find lots used on marketplace, which further reinforced my decision to spring for the Uppababy, because even well used and years old, people are still selling them for $800!

Strollers you get what you pay for (uppababy). Personally I don't think the mesa is worth it though. It seems uncomfortable and if you have a long baby (both of mine were 99% height), they are grown out of it by 6 months old. The stroller is a real gem. Got it because I can afford it, definitely the item to splurge on if you can! (Even second hand, they seem to keep their value)
