Mind if I ask what single stroller you had? We love our nuna mixx but it seems like all the double strollers we're looking at will be a step down in wheel size and suspension/sturdiness. Whereas the jogging strollers are massive and can't lay flat...

We went Nuna for pram/bassinet/car seat. No complaints. Definitely not as solid as a silver cross but much lighter and it did everything we needed. Plus we liked the look of the Nuna more. Being able to put the car seat into the pram base was amazing. More important than a pram - get the rocket! It attaches to the pram and gently rocks it. Really helped us in the fest few months.

Had a secondhand Bugaboo Chameleon with our first and it was really fantastic, we had quite a few extras included luckily, they get very pricey. After a couple of house moves we got rid of it before our second. We then got the Nuna Mixx Next which comes with all the extras and is very reasonably priced so that was great but I still preferred the Bugaboo. Definitely go and test at Babypark. Congratulations 🎊

We got the Nuna Mixx Next, we live in London. It's been on many a bus, train, tube, black cab as well as several planes to various other countries. It's still in great condition after our first and we're about to get the bassinet back out for our second. Highly recommend.

But the actual stroller seat can't be switched around like it can on, for example, the Nuna Mix Next. So as soon as they're out of the infant car seat and in the normal stroller seat, they're forward all the time.

I'm almost 7 months pp and I went back and forth about the stroller for months. I ended up getting a Nuna Mixx Next and a Pipa rx car seat. Initially I was thinking the mixx next would be too heavy and almost got a smaller version. So glad I didn't. I'm obsessed with this stroller. I use it almost everyday, travel via car everyday and go for walks in both paved and non paved terrain. I was able to find a nib on fb marketplace for $600. Now that I've had it for awhile, I'd probably pay full price honestly. My sister has an Uppababy vista and it's nowhere near as smooth and easy to maneuver as the mixx next. The car seat adapter is also extremely user friendly and I don't have any issue getting in and out of the car. I have string bean arms lol. Let me know if you have any other questions!

We have the Nuna Mixx Next and it's been amazing great stroller. Like you said, it goes flat for sleep and it's a very sturdy stroller. We're three years and two kids in and still using it. The only drawback is that it's not convenient to fold if you want to take the subway and there's no elevator. But there's no perfect stroller so I think this one is as good as it gets.

I went with the nuna mixx next. I like mostly everything about it except the footrest is quite loosely flimsy a bit..which isnt much of a con tbh. Also the storage bag underneath is quite small compared to the competition. Other than that its great. Other great strollers I had on my list back when I was choosing a stroller were the Uppababy Cruz, and the silvercross reef. Wife didnt like the aesthetic design or fold of the Cruz compared to the Nuna. While I would've chosen the SC Reef as my primary option...its damn expensive compared to the Nuna and Uppababy. I also looked at bugaboo too, but it didnt really stand a chance getting chosen since the wife was sooo into the Nuna.

Can echo this having done both! We have the Nuna Mix and moved from a fully urban to a fully rural environment at 3 months old. In our city, it was fabulous for walks to the park grocery store, coffee shops, etc. We had bumpy sidewalks and even cobblestones in places there, and the stroller handled it like a champ. But now that we are rural and would have to out it in and out of the car, I've used it maybe 5 times total in a year? Just not necessary. I keep a small travel stroller in the trunk, and that's been great for small errands, etc.

I ended up choosing the Mixx Next. My wife fell in love with the aesthetic and sky drape. While I fell in love with the suspension (best in it's class). The under basket is quite small though compared to the Cruz but we hardly ever use it. Diaper bag usually just clips onto the handle. The foot rest is a bit cheapy on the Mixx Next. It's flimsy as heck, but it was super useful when in flat recline because I could unsnap a button on each side to snap upwards against the carseat so nothing/baby slips downwards and falls for any reason. Sort of mimics the bassinet a bit so nothing will fall out. Cruz was great too but my wife didn't prefer it. I liked the frame of the Cruz was very sturdy. Hated the Vista though because it was super bulky. Both strollers glided like a dream though. If I had to choose again though honestly id get a Silver Cross Reef, just because it was my favorite lmao I simply didn't choose it because of the damn price, and I know 2nd time around I know I can save more than the amount of $ for it since i won't be repurchasing some other baby items and simply reusing a lot of it....and if I ever have twins..then lord have mercy on my soul, but I know I'd get a Bugaboo Donkey lol

Depends how your going to be using your stroller. If your going to be walking/jogging down that dirt road regularly or be in rural areas a lot, your gonna want some sort of jogger stroller or something with inflatable wheels. If your going to keep it in your vehicle and use it for when your going shopping in the city, going out to eat, and use it for an urban sort of lifestyle, with tad bits of times you walk the stroller on gravel, grass, etc, maybe a good all terrain full stroller with good suspension like Uppababy Cruz, Nuna Mixx Next, Bugaboo Fox 5. If you want something more budget friendly in this category maybe the Chicco Corso or Bravo stroller,Graco Modes Nest 2 grow. Jogger strollers include BabyJogger city mini gt, Thule Urban Glide, Guava Roam, Uppababy Ridge, etc. A carseat is 100% necessary, so no matter what, that should be the 1st thing you look at. Find 1 you like, then look at what strollers its compatible with (usually you might have to buy a separate adapter if you use a different brand of carseat from the stroller). You can always look at what strollers already come as part of a bundled travel system with that carseat. But before you even get started looking at carseats, you need to make a decision ifbyour going to use an Infant Carseat (pill bug looking seats), or a convertible carseat (the big ones that stay in a vehicle), or both.

We bought a Numa stroller to go with our car seat, and recently a GB pocket air. We really regret the numa since it was expensive, is massive, and we never use it. Whenever we go places or on neighborhood walks, I always just carry our son in the carrier. The Numa has been used once, so we're trying to sell it. We're hoping to travel more with the little guy this year, so that's what prompted the much cheaper GB pocket purchase. Folds up really small so you don't need to check it on the plane. Will probably be our main stroller if we ever need one when not traveling too.

I'm a soon to be parent, did a huge research for strollers, tested out all good ones and I landed on Nuna Mixx next BMW Edition. It costed me 2800 with Fazaa discount in Centerpoint. Here are the Pros: it's BMW of strollers, it is easy to push and control, its premium and I've heared it's easy to clean and baby is comfortable in this. It has good suspension and wheels so it makes it the best stroller for use in pavements, roads and malls. This is said to last for 4 years so that's something to consider too. Cons: It is big and little heavy than other strollers. So you need good space and energy to load it in the truck.

You definitely want a full flat recline. The seat will act as a bassinet for baby to sleep as if you had the bassinet attachment. I noticed a lot of the cheaper branded strollers will advertise a "near flat" recline, but yeah(not all of them. Some budget picks do have flat recline). It's 1 of those things you notice when your going deep down the rabbit hole, but some ppl will not even notice, or simply will not ever use the near flat recline anyway. Some parents baby wear instead, etc etc. I'm not gonna go into all that. There's some good strollers that do have a flat recline. We picked the nuna mixx next, but others include the Silvercross Reef, and i think the uppababy cruz off the top of my head.

Wish I knew that the bassinet option would be something I would really want for walks with a newborn. I got the Nuna Mixx which lays flat for newborns but I never use it because it just doesn't feel as secure or safe as using the carseat for walks. We're also planning to get a Thule for hiking once baby is a little older. Other than that, I love the Nuna Mixx. It's very stylish. I feel it's super sturdy and easy to manuever. We also have the Pipa Rx and it just fits everything so we'll.

Check out the Nuna Mixx Next. That's what I have and one of the reasons I bought it is because it lays flat. It may not lay 100% flat, but it's gotta be pretty close if not, and I took my newborn for walks all the time in it. Edit: spelling

I'm also in OC. I have an entire stroller collection at this point. Honestly, I like the Uppababy Minu for running errands and whatnot. It opens and closes with one hand and you can actually fit other things in the back of the SUV. I got the newborn pack bassinet attachment that worked fine. However, baby is much more comfortable in my Nuna Mixx Next. Before I went back to work, I would take my baby for long walks everyday in that. I used the bassinet with both my kids through six months and they got the best naps that way. That said, the Nuna takes up the entire cargo space in my SUVs. I cannot bring it and go for a Target run or a weekend road trip to Palm Springs or SD. If I could only get one stroller, I'd go with the travel one so you actually can travel. Edited to add: I've used both strollers at Disneyland, and they were both fine. The added bonus though is that the Minu can actually fold up with the newborn pack bassinet attachment, meaning you can ride the tram. The Nuna bassinet has to be fully removed from the stroller to fold the stroller and the bassinet itself cannot fold up easily for riding the tram so we end up having to do the walk to and from the parking garage. I prefer walking so this isn't an issue for me.

I also did a test between Nuna Mixx and uppababy and I really didn't understand the obsession over uppababy, it's so hard to hold and even carry. The piece of advice I got is if you are really planning on doing back to back like Irish twins it makes sense to do uppababy. Overall I'm not a fan, I will be going with the Nuna

Getting the features I wanted all in one stroller and not feeling like it was going to break immediately. I had my first when I was young and my budget was very, very tight-I was gifted a Graco travel system and it was ok, but it got used a ton and broke shortly after my daughter turned 1. I ended up buying a cheap umbrella stroller for my toddler, and between that and wearing her, made it through. When I had my second 10 years later, I knew exactly what features I wanted and my circumstances (both physically and budget) were significantly different. We weren't using a baby bucket-style seat, so I wanted a stroller that laid either had a bassinet or laid truly flat for a newborn, it needed to have a very adjustable handle (my partner is almost a full foot taller than me), I have a disability that affects my balance so it needed to be very sturdy, etc. Basically anything that had all of our needed features was going to be on the high end. We ended up with a Nuna Mixx and I absolutely loved it. I used it almost every day for the first 2 years. It was still in good condition, my son just hated being in a stroller. I sold it to a local baby/kids second hand shop and the resulting store credit bought his next year of clothes. The extra money spent on the stroller was absolutely completely worth it to me. To be fair, it wasn't a problem in my budget either. There were certainly other areas we simply didn't spend because we didn't need it or prioritize it, which left our budget open for the stroller.

That depends. How heavy is your current stroller and how fast/easy does it fold up? I have the Nuna trvl and it came in clutch during my trip. I didn't think I needed it either but our Nuna Mixx is heavy af and I'm so glad I got the trvl because it would've been annoying to carry another heavy thing around.

Doubles are always more bulky and harder to maneuver. If you insist on the double, I believe the easiest would be the bugaboo donkey which transitions from a single to double differently than most double strollers. When it comes to strollers/carseats, first decide on which carseat you may want. Choosing your carseat may limit your stroller selection, which is why I think it's good to choose the carseat first. Some infant seats are incompatible with certain brand strollers, etc. The most popular right now is the Nuna Pipa RX. These are very nice carseats and you can even buy an adapter for some different brand strollers that make the Pipa compatible with your other branded stroller frame. Of course you can always just stay with the same brand as your carseat if you don't want to bother doing any digging on compatibility..but where's the fun in that lol When it comes to stroller travel systems in general back when i dug down the rabbit hole i came away with 3 brands/models that were best in it's class for what I wanted, which was a single full stroller with all bells and whistles that you can think of. Bugaboo didn't meet my top 3, but it made #1 for me when it came to double strollers because of the Donkey. The 3 top performers were Nuna mixx next, Uppababy Cruz, and Silver Cross Reef. Personally I wanted a stroller for my 1 baby that was stroller seat would be newborn compatible for use with a flat recline so baby can sleep in it like a bassinet (but without having to buy the separate bassinet attachment (which is usually expensive). Of course with the other bells and whistles on each stroller, I came down to those 3 strollers. Everyone has different needs, so it all comes down to what your looking for.

What you are planning and what your baby wants is completely different. We got the Nuna Mixx and it felt like a waste initially cause we were always pushing an empty stroller around with her worn on me. We live in a neighborhood with rough terrain so wanted one with big wheels and suspensions. At one year old she finally could sit for 10 minutes in the stroller without fussing. Then we caved and bought a second travel stroller because our primary one was heavy and massive and felt too big for trips to the mall/grocery. And proceeded to purchase a third Thule chariot for bike trips. It really depends on your lifestyle, but if your aren't planning on daily long stroller walks, you could probably swing babywearing for the first couple of months.

We live in a busy city too and had similar criteria. I initially wanted the Nuna Triv but went with the Mixx, and 100% do not regret it - it's a brilliant pram for the city and park walks, public transport etc. It served us incredibly well with our now 3yo and is back in bassinet mode for our new baby too. So that would be my recommendation over the Triv!

just spent a month researching. my takeaway: Nuna - loved this one the most (mixx or trvl xl) but all of the carseats/accesories make it extra pricey. my fav uber premium option uppababy- i found these all to be kind of rigid and too large. didn't like the vibe but its obvs popular mockingbird - decided on this one and so far love the balance of quality and price point. truly feels strong but also premium, while not being huge, and almost all the features feel obvious instead of buried silver cross - if you really want to go with the most premium it is indeed very nice. graco Modes nest - solid budget option. felt a little on the light/fragile side for me but if lightweight with versatility is important, this one isn't bad at all bugaboo - maybe the one i tried was a janky floor model but i didn't think it was smooth at all. nuna/mock crushed it

My husband and I are going to Italy for 2.5 weeks with our 9.5 month old. We are bringing our doona and carrier for when we are walking around in different towns, visiting wineries, exploring etc.. My question is: do we bring our main stroller (Nuna mixx next)?? It seems like it would be so nice to have walking around (our daughter loves this stroller, it's easy to stroll around, the storage would be great so we don't have to wear a backpack, and I love the fact our daughter can face the other way to see around. The reason why my husband doesn't want to take it is because he thinks it could be easily damaged in transit and he thinks the doona is good enough. Any thoughts on this? Any experience traveling w a doona vs a main stroller or traveling with a main stroller? Is it a pain? Wish you would have left it at home or brought it?

Congratulations! I'm going through the same decisions as you after many weeks of research, and have just had some success on the stroller and car seat front! Nuna/Cybex were our frontrunners and we liked the elegance of the Silver Cross. We eliminated Uppababy early on for a multitude of reasons. Hopefully this saves you some time: Upon researching car seats, you'll see that the Clek Liing is the most thoroughly safety-tested seat on the market. It's handsome and made in Canada too. However, the price makes it prohibitive for some, and it requires adapters for most strollers. After numerous visits to Snuggle Bugz and West Coast Kids, we learned that the Cybex infant car seats have the same safety rating as the Clek. The Gazelle stroller is very thoughtfully designed and felt sturdier and more equipped for "real life" than the Nuna Mixx. It holds more weight underneath and comes with extra features that other companies sell separately, such as a cup holder and shopping basket. I also appreciate that it stays wheels-down when folded so that you don't end up with slush and salt on the handle and your clothes when loading it into the car through the winter. The car seat clicks in and out as easily as the Nuna ones (which are amazingly simple) so we felt the advantages of the Nuna were all present with the Cybex and then some. Snuggle Bugz had a bundle promo for stroller and car seat, so with the discount, our choice was obvious. Note: the Nuna stroller handle is the best of all - it has no knob or button in the middle which was a huge advantage for both comfort and ease of folding I've heard from many parents that infant car seats get totally filthy, so if you decide to pick one for style, friendly reminder that you're only getting 6 months of use and the "look" may not hold up. You're better off picking a stroller style you like and spending more money on that. Good luck!

I bought a second hand Nuna Pipa car seat and Nuna Mixx stroller off fb marketplace. The combo was great when my son was in an infant car seat and we just clicked it into the stroller. Great. When he grew out of the infant car seat and was just using the stroller is when it all went downhill. The stroller by itself is sooooo heavy, clunky, and complicated! My baby screams like there's no tomorrow when I try to buckle him in and please tell me why the buckling has so many parts? Also unless you drive a Yukon and have a truck the stroller will take up your entire trunk space. We bought a cybex libelle travel stroller and literally never looked back. It lightweight, folds up so tiny and even comes with adapters for an infant car seat like the nuna. 90% of the time we use a stroller now, we use the Cybex. We only use the Nuna for occasional walks or if we're going somewhere without smooth terrain

I just tested strollers this weekend and also liked the Nuna Mixx and the Bugaboo. I thought Uppababy Vista would be higher on my list but did not like how it folded down and the overall way it operated. I hadn't heard of Bugaboo before seeing it in the store but liked how sturdy it was and that it came with the bassinet and toddler seat. At the store, everyone went to try out the Mixx and it was definitely the favorite. I think we'll go with that one cause we liked the style a bit more than Bugaboo.

I guess it depends on lifestyle! If you are sticking to necessities or on a limited budget, 2 strollers definitely aren't "needed". We have 2 and just one child. We have the Nuna Mixx stroller/pipa car seat system and we also have the Nuna travel stroller too. The big one stays in my car and my partner has the travel one. Full disclosure- we haven't even used the travel one yet. Not that we never will, but 4.5 months it, it hasn't been needed.

Nuna Mixx Next. Has a Nuna car seat adapter for infants. (Don't bother buying a bassinet, you'll need it for like no time at all.) Holds kids up to 50lbs (we still use it occasionally and my son is 3). Folds up smaller than the Uppababy Vista. Cons: it's heavy (almost 30 lbs) but I mean it's a full size stroller. We have 7 stairs so we make it work. It also doesn't convert for two kids like the Vista does, but we're one and done so that works for us. It also doesn't have a child cup or snack holder like the Vista does. BUT the suspension is killer, we love how small it folds up, and it's held up great with pretty rough use for three years now.

She's my best friend since we were 5. My stuff is very gently used. My nuna stroller and carsest don't look like the ones you see online. They were both from 2023. Brand new and super clean. My son luckily never had blowouts or even puked on them. I tried selling and offers were 200. No one wanted to pay over 200. It was over 1k retail. I'm not being that nice to a stranger who could most likely afford it but just wants a deal.
