I bought a mountain buggy duet V3 because it was as wide as a single, 1-handed collapse and auto lock, and my eldest was able to fit in it until they were 4yo. It was great on tarmac and on rough terrain. I loved the hand break on the handle when I needed it. Both kids were world facing, which was nice as there were no arguments when my youngest got older. You could grab one cheaper off Ebay. The ride was really smooth, too, due to the big tires and suspension.

We have two, we use the mountain buggy duet for walks, full days out, and any time we'll be going over terrain other than concrete, it's comfy to push and has side by side bassinets that adjust up as they grow, and can fit through standard doors. We also have a snap and go frame one that you can put the car seats on that lives in the car and is much easier for running errands since you can keep the babies in the car seats and it's much lighter to put in and out of the trunk. Having both is super helpful and we got one off marketplace so it wasn't expensive

Got a secondhand mountain buggy duet, it's surprising the doors it'll fit through and my 3yr old and baby are nice and comfy in it. Such a solid well made stroller. I chose it over an out n about double because it has 4 wheels which I thought would be more stable given the big weight difference between the two kids. Otherwise I love out n about, we've got a single GT and it's great.

I'm quite short and couldn't ever get the leverage on a tandem one to get it up a step, so would always recommend a side by side. I liked the mountain buggy duet, it was quite small and very robust.

We (UK-based) have a mountain buggy duet for our 25-month age gap and it's a lifesaver! It can fit through regular doors, both kids seem comfy in it and we got it on marketplace for £50 and paid a company around £100 to professionally clean it. It came back like new! We do the single buggy and carrier or single buggy and buggy board combo often too, it depends on what outing we're doing. If you have the toddler at the park, running around after them, lifting them into the swing etc can be harder with the baby in the carrier. Equally, sometimes you need the toddler contained for safety or speed, so a buggy board isn't ideal in those scenarios. And if your toddler is like mine, the buggy board isn't just a platform to stand on, but is in fact an opportunity to practice spinning, jumping off, standing on one leg etc etc, so the double buggy works well for my own sanity. Finally, I didn't think we'd need a double buggy before our second came and then I had an unexpected c section, so it suddenly became much more necessary. Best of luck!

I have a Phil and teds and a mountain buggy duet! I keep the Phil and teds in the car for quick outings, and like if I only need a single it's a single. The bottom seat is small but fine for a toddler to hop in/out or I stick the baby down there! Sometimes I flip it and have the baby lie flat to sleep and put the extra seat on top. I prefer the duet for big trips, it pushes like a dream, I use it around town. (I'm a Brit but in the US. I got my mum to bring me the Phil and teds as they don't sell them here😂) both are second hand because we have so. Many. Buggies

Have a look at the Mountain Buggy duet. It is narrower than the Bugaboo Donkey, has a twin bassinet attachment, and when you attach two car seats they are kind of staggered so it doesn't add to the width of the buggy.

We felt the same. Check out the Mountainbuggy duet. Side by side, same width as a standard wheelchair. It manages coffee shops and museums as well as a path through a forest. That said the best solution depends on where you live and where you plan to go. We did a Twinstrust antenatal course and were pleasantly surprised that most of the expecting parents there had made the same decision, but all were London based. The key downside is that it has quite a big food so can take up a lot of real estate in a car boot.

Agreed. Bought ours second hand and I love it. They're a sturdy bit of kit and it works on sand and rough terrain

We love our mountain buggy duet. It has a bassinet attachment for when they are newborns and then converts to a stroller when they are ready. The bassinet is moveable and safe to sleep- so if they fall asleep on your walk- you can bring them in and let them continue napping unlike a car seat. It can be turned into a travel system and has a toddler scooter attachment.

We started with a tandem that worked with the newborn car seats we had. It was super expensive. And it was *awful*. Not only did I dislike the lack of parity but it was heavy and difficult to steer. We ended up with a Mountain Buggy Duet which is just wonderful, I can literally push and steer it with one finger, and is the narrowest (in the UK) side-by-side, so it fits through pretty much every doorway, which was my original concern. Now they are toddlers... I can't imagine having the tandem, it would be the worst, so isolating and weird. They love sitting next to each other. In short, tandems suck for twins.

I have the mountain buggy duet, it's a side by side but I've never met a doorway I don't fit through. It's pricey, I got mine secondhand to save money, but it's super nice I love it. There's a twin bassinet insert you can get but it's newborn friendly even without that

UK here, we've got a 17 month age gap and we've used our double pram almost every day since baby arrived 8 months ago! Originally we had an icandy peach but I HATED it. So clunky, so temperamental on uneven surfaces. Saw a Mountain Buggy Duet on FB marketplace, omg this thing is amazing 😂 literally pushes over every terrain, it's also fairly compact and never had an issue with the width. It doesn't fold up the smallest but it fits in the boot of my Ford Focus. Would highly recommend!

Redsbaby nuvo is an awesome pram and if budget is no issue I'd get that and a travel pram or an off road pram depending on your lifestyle. I have the nuvo and a mountain buggy for bushwalks

I've always preferred the side by side prams for the exact same reason, we started with the bugaboo donkey and I honestly loved the look and feel of it but it was just too bulky and i often ran into problems with getting through certain doors and on public transport whilst my fella was working. We switched to the mountain buggy duet and it was honestly perfect it's barely wider than a single pram, looks nice and fits everywhere. It easily lasted until our boys recently turned 3 and would have been usable longer had they not been anti pushchair unless absolutely necessary from the age of 2 🤣

Mountain buggy duet/duo - we had a ridiculously narrow front door and it was the only one that fit! Also relatively inexpensive in comparison to others (and you can buy the add on pram and shopping bits too)

mountain buggy! the duet is suitable from birth, all terrain and only 25" wide and is under $900 [https://us.mountainbuggy.com/shop/duet-11296#attribute\_values=362,844,869,854,1047,928,869,882,910,1038,1007,1048,976](https://us.mountainbuggy.com/shop/duet-11296#attribute_values=362,844,869,854,1047,928,869,882,910,1038,1007,1048,976) the nano duo does need an optional cocoon to be used from birth and it a little wider 29" same as the bugaboo donkey but it folds very small for a double and is lightweight only 20lbs and it $640 for the stroller $100 more for the newborn cocoon [https://us.mountainbuggy.com/shop/nano-duo-11349#attribute\_values=359,1140,924,868,881,903,1038,1020,1008,956,851](https://us.mountainbuggy.com/shop/nano-duo-11349#attribute_values=359,1140,924,868,881,903,1038,1020,1008,956,851)

Mountain Buggy Duet is what I have. It's heavier than the Duo and (from what I have seen in pictures) bulkier when collapsed, but I haven't met a door that it didn't easily fit through.

We used the Oyster 3 and used to carry baby upstairs in the carrycot often. It is a sleep safe carrycot (watch out for that; some are not necessarily intended as a proper sleep space though they're fine for little supervised naps, so think about whether you might want to use the carrycot as an actual second sleep space - we did when travelling). I don't live in a flat but our house has the living room and kitchen upstairs so we'd usually want to take the baby upstairs when we get in if still asleep. It can also be rocked gently while on the floor which can help soothe baby back to sleep if they start rousing with the lack of pram movement. However, I'm not too sure that I'd go for this one if i were you living in London, as it's not the most compact travel system. You could see if you could find it on display somewhere (or I think it might be oyster 4 now) to see what you think. Alternatively some prams have "cocoon" attachments, only for little newborns but they are great for carrying sleeping babies. I now use a Mountain buggy duet (because I have a baby and a 2 y/o) and it can be used with either carrycot or cocoon, both of which are suitable but the cocoon is probably easier for your purposes. You obviously don't need a duet but there are single prams with this option too like the mountain buggy nano.

We have the Valco Slim twin and like it. Before that we had the mountain buggy duet with bassinets. I got the MB for $300 used. There's a lot of options if you don't want to spend the huge price tag for the bugaboo. The Valco Slim twin has a lay flat feature that in hind sight I think we would have been fine using but I was dead set on the bassinets. I don't regret it, just maybe useful info depending on your budget. Personally the foldability and size is more important to me than parent facing seats.

But think of it this way ... if you keep it in decent condition you'll be able to sell it at the end. I got decent money for my MB Duet.

Used two with baby #1. Joolz aer as our primary stroller for the first 6 months or so (bassinet, car seat attachment), then as a travel stroller, keeping in the car, and for walking to restaurants/small shops. Bob all terrain as our primary stroller after 6ish months - for parks, longer walks, runs, adventures. Also used (and still use at 26 months) carriers and an Osprey backpack. Baby #2 is on the way and we were generously gifted an uppababy vista double stroller set up from our neighborhood buy nothing group. It seems huge and clunky but since it was free we will give it a try. Right now we are testing it out as a single, and the only gap in our needs it fills is the big basket for grocery shopping/farmers market. We prefer to the jogging stroller for its maneuverability and big wheels for different terrains/stairs. Eventually, I think we will get a secondhand side by side double stroller. We used a mountain buggy duet briefly for a nanny share and really liked it.
