If you're considering the UPPAbaby Minu V3, definitely check out the Ergobaby Metro+ 3. They're very similar, but the Metro+ 3 is $350 compared to $550 for the Minu. You can usually find a 15% off coupon with a quick Google search, and Ergobaby offers 20% off for teachers, nurses, and military. I was torn between the two, but after watching a million reviews, I realized the Minu V3 didn't offer anything the Metro+ 3 didn't-at least not anything that justified the extra $200. I've taken the Metro+ 3 out a few times and it pushes great-smooth and easy to steer one-handed. The basket holds over 20 lbs, the seat sits very upright (a must for my baby), and it also fully reclines for newborns. The ventilation is better than on the Minu, which was a top priority for me since we live in a warm climate. It has a one-handed auto-fold (huge win!), and while the unfold isn't quite as smooth, I've still managed it one-handed. I also got the bumper bar since my baby loves holding onto those. One of my favorite features: it fits behind the driver's seat of my Prius! That was a big deal because our main stroller-the Cybex Gazelle-takes up the entire trunk. Before this, I had the Cybex Libelle (open-box from goodbuybaby.com). It was fine-super compact and came with a car seat adapter-but I didn't love that it didn't sit upright and had no peekaboo window. I wouldn't have paid $300 for it, but I got it for $150 and sold it for $100 after one trip when my baby was 5 months old. Now that my baby is using the stroller seat more, I wanted something more comfortable and better quality-and the Metro+ 3 has totally delivered.

The ergobaby metro has an adjustable handlebar! The new version they just released isn't the same as the previous version that we have. And is a downgrade in my opinion. The telescoping handlebar on a travel stroller is AMAZING.

Third the metro+. It is my in the car stroller as well as my travel stroller. It is not flimsy and sturdy for its size. The trifold helps with that I think, rather than folding umbrellas style. I just took it to Mexico and it was fine on the dirt/gravel roads. Before I got it, I remember reading review that it handled cobblestones well enough. It does have some suspension. I'll be taking it to Ireland in the spring to test out!

The ergobaby metro+ goes flat enough to make a newborn bassinet. It folds small and is pretty lightweight. You can also get adaptors for some car seats as well. I use it as my live in the car stroller as well as my travel stroller.

You aren't going to get a travel friendly jogging stroller. I would just baby wear for hikes while travelling. For a car seat friendly travel stroller, I would recommend the ergobaby metro 3. It is newborn friendly even without the car seat as it has a bassinet mode. You would have to get a car seat that works with the adaptors. I have the older version (Metro+) and love it. It's been on 5 plane trips, with two out of country. We just came back from Ireland this week and it was great.

Also, Ergobaby will give you 15% off if you sign up for the newsletter so if you stack it with a sale it's a pretty great deal. mom of one with a second on the way -- If it markets itself as newborn ready, I think that recline should be fine. the "flat" idea is just so they dont slide around. don't get the metro+, unless they've made improvements I haven't seen to the canopy -- you'll want lots of shade for your newborn. i LOVE my original Minu (and would love the V2 even more), but the Joolz Aer is slightly more travel-friendly if that is important to you. It is small enough to bring into the airplane cabin if you're concerned about gate checking and is lighter/smaller. And you are smart to prioritize one-hand fold, that is crucial! And the reason I do NOT like the YoYo.

We just got this for upcoming travels. It seems like it is a nice stroller, but I'm not terribly impressed with Ergobaby as a company. They recently increased the price of the stroller by $80, right before Black Friday - presumably to make a markdown look like a "deal". I know lots of companies do this but it sucks. I also ordered a carry bag for it just a few days ago from their Canadian website, but they charged me in USD. It was most definitely an error because a) I've ordered from there before (recently, for the stroller!) and been charged in CAD, and b) it isn't the same price on the US site. Their customer service has been less than helpful and I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Just be careful ordering from them and make sure you're being charged in CAD.

Get ergobaby metro plus or similar and you have a daily driver and travel stroller in one. I've heard good things about bugaboo butterfly or uppababy minu. Unless you're planning to use the under basket storage a lot (e.g. you are a one car family and will use it to walk and go grocery shopping, etc) then a travel stroller would probably suit you just fine. A lot of ppl don't realize this I don't think. P.s. the honest truth is that a lot of people will recommend expensive baby products not because they are actually great (although many are) but because they have to justify the cost to themselves. I see this a lot with car seats- people love to recommend expensive seats when more affordable ones fit better in their car, are less likely to be outgrown and are easier to install.

The Ergobaby metro plus does fold into a bassinet but probably not best for rough terrain. I don't know if you will find a good travel stroller that's suitable for rough terrain so I'd do a travel stroller and something like the Thule Chariot. You can buy infant insert and even skis for winter.

We have the ErgoBaby Metro Plus and love it. We got it as a travel pram for my eldest when he was 10months to go to Rome, but used it as the main stroller exclusively after he was 1 as our bugaboo fox was just too bulky. The metro lightweight but sturdy, steers brilliantly with suspension (which a lot of travel strollers don't have) and has extendable handle. As a tall person, this is the best bit. It also has lie flat, again something other big name travel strollers don't have, which for my son was important as he napped in it all the time. We are now using it for my daughter and have done since she was a newborn. Negatives is that it's probably a little bigger than others and I never trusted that it would fit in the overhead storage of a plane so have always gate checked it. Basket is small but in line with others on the market. I would definitely buy it again if I needed to, but I would be tempted to try the bugaboo butterfly also.

I have both and use both, but you definitely don't *need* both. I have the ergobaby metro which is amazing for flying because it fits in the overhead bin so no risk of damage by gate checking it. That being said, I used our uppababy travel system constantly when my daughter was first born. Popping her car seat in and out of the stroller for errands was significantly easier than lugging the car seat in the store and/or taking her out of her car seat to go in the store. Plus the bassinet attachment was so nice for neighborhood walks at the beginning. It comes down to your lifestyle, what's important to you from a convenience standpoint, and your budget. I still choose the uppababy over my ergobaby metro unless we're traveling because it's a smoother ride and my daughter seems more comfortable in it. Honestly she prefers our veer wagon to all strollers anyway so that's also an option (has a nap system attachment that turns it into a bassinet) and your baby will enjoy that for many years to come. You can also find a lot of strollers second hand for very reasonable prices and the resale value is pretty good.

I started my stroller journey by buying a highly recommended stroller and hating it... and ended up with multiple ones, which turned into testing over 100 models and reviewing them :) That said: NOT LOVING: Uppababy Vista - rides smooth, but too big and bulky Mockingbird - awful, scary with recalls, doesn't drive smoothly as all Cybex Orfeo - too flimsy Cybex Coya - where do I even begin with this bad fold GB Pockit - not worth your fingers Ergobaby Metro - too heavy for a travel stroller and unfold feels meh SummerInfant 3d quickclose - too good to be true, super flimsy Nuna TRVL - too short seat, too big to take into the cabin and too expensive for what it is Uppababy Minu - too big for a travel stroller model, weird bumper bar and flimsy canopy LOVING: Cybex Priam - amazing, especially the e-version. If I were to get a one full-size stroller this would be my top choice Stokke Yoyo3 - most well-known and guaranteed on board Joolz Aer - smooth ride, great accessories Joolz Hub2 - solid mid-size option Cybex Gazelle - good for 2 under 2 Bombi - good mid-size option Bugaboo Butterfly 2 - didn't like the first version, but these upgrades made it better Mamazing - good budget option Zoe Traveler - amazing canopy and solid stroller Inglesina Quid - cute solid compact stroller

Someone posted a discount code for ergobaby for 30% off everything: tbstoronto30 Though I believe this code ends soon! Like possibly today. I did a bit of research and didn't want to spend overly much on a travel stroller. I don't need it to be bougie Nuna or Uppababy, just need it to be compact with the option to lay the seat completely flat if needed, as we will be traveling with a 4mo and 3yo in a few months. I chose the metro+ stroller (though the metro+ deluxe comes with a free ride along board right now if that's important!)

We got the Ergobaby and love it! So far we have only used it for a quick 2 day trip down to Disney World with our 2.5 month old, but it worked really well. My thoughts: * super light & easy to carry if you buy the backpack bag for $30. * Southwest gave us no issues about carrying it into the cabin (only tried when in the bag. Not sure about issues if you had it out) * pushes almost as smooth as our Nuna Mixx on flat surfaces * baby was able to lay flat. As he gets older I imagine this will be nice for naps on the go! * yes the under basket is small, but we were able to hang a heavy bag from the handle no problem as long as we had counter balance in the basket. * my only complaint is that you have to take the seat out to use with a car seat. It is easy to take out, but you kind of have to make a decision and stick with it for the day.

Seconding metro +! We've had ours for almost 2y and really like it. We keep it in the car so it's handy when we need it. I wish the sun shade covered more (maybe newer version does?) It's not made for hiking, but I take it out on gravel and dirt trails at the local conservation area every week and it's decent. It wouldn't do well if there are lots of roots and uneven steep areas though. Haven't tried snow - it's too low to get over much deeper snow. Our vista is better in snow, but not great either. Basically snow is only time we prefer vista

My LO is 16mo old and we have 2. A full size one (uppababy cruz bought while pregnant) and a travel stroller (ergobaby metro+). I would say the cruz is used more but we do use the travel stroller far more than for just travel. I think that's enough for us as he's almost at full time daycare and does walk (just not always exactly where we want) so how often we use a stroller is going to be less and less. A wagon might be in our future.

In my research there were lots of people saying although their stroller met the size requirements they were still asked to gate check it, just FYI. We went with the ergobaby metro+. Not quite budget but on the cheaper side (also got it on Black Friday so it was even a better deal). Can't compare it as it's the only one we've tried but we're happy with it. It lies flat, has a nice sun shade, adjustable handle bar, does meet the overhead bin requirements for most airlines. We also got the bag which allows it to be worn like a backpack. It's a bit weird as a backpack but it's also handy in a pinch.

It does fit in the overhead bin however we've always gate checked it for our convenience and haven't had issues. The joolz aer and the stokke yoyo are really popular but we wanted something cheaper. However regardless of the stroller be prepared for them to tell you they have to gate check it, especially if you already have other carryons. If you really really don't want to you'll want a bag for the stroller and put it in the bag well before boarding so that they don't immediately clock it as a stroller when you walk by.

If your baby is traveling at 3m old, the lie flat mode and built in bassinet of the ergobaby metro will be essential since newborns have poor head control and nap a LOT. It's also not recommended for newborns to be in car seats for long periods so make sure you find an option that lies flat

We love our ergobaby metro+. Its in a cheaper price category than the yoyo so it wont be quite as nice but it does recline fully flat which is a feature we use a ton for naps on the go even when they can sit up properly. We also used the regular uppababy seat reclined all the way back with the infant sung seat cushion as another option for your current stroller. Since it's the regular seat it'll be plenty long.

I would prioritize a stroller with lie flat over parent facing. I know it's weird to get used to them facing out but the lie flat is clutch for naps on the go and will be a feature you use for a long time. My (very big) 11mo can still nap in our travel stroller. Also that way you're certain your 3.5mo will be comfortable and is not in a position that could cause some harm. We have the ergobaby metro+ which is light and I could definielhy carry up stairs but isn't a one handed open. I think it's an amazing travel stroller for the price point but if you're willing to spend more there are probably better ones out there like the joolz aer.

To be frank I think your list is a bit hard to achieve with one stroller. I personally have a cybex gazelle which I love because it can turn into a double and the storage basket is huge. My travel stroller is ergobaby metro and I love it for travel bc it's cabin approved and the full recline is useful for naps on the go. However if 1 handed fold is important to you, the Nuna TRVL can be a great option for you. If you buy the Nuna car seat it fits in the stroller, it's a travel stroller (but not sure if cabin approved). I have not personally seen many travel systems sell for less than 800 besides I think graco, evenflo and chicco but I'm not familiar with any of these that would fit your description precisely. The Nuna unfortunately doesn't have a large basket. Large baskets I've only seen on large strollers like my gazelle or UB vista (the Cruz has a decent basket too). If you want the Nuna system for roughly 800 you can probably get a used stroller from marketplace and wait for the PIPA to go on sale. We have a PIPA for our son and really like it. Nuna strollers don't work with car seats besides Nuna unfortunately.

We love our ergobaby metro! Edit: some considerations that will help you narrow down options - what's your budget? The bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu, joolz aer, stokke yoyo etc are highly rated compact strollers but are the most expensive. The ergobaby metro is a mid range priced stroller. There are also very affordable options too. Are there specific features you care about? For example, do you want it to be able to fully recline flat for naps or for younger babies, or a canopy with good coverage, or a good size basket? The ergobaby metro checks those boxes. Or do you care more about being super lightweight? The joolz aer is only 13 pounds. Or do you want a large basket? The bugaboo butterfly is your pick.

My 10mo old is similar and we use the ergobaby metro+. He seems very comfy when it's fully reclined and it has a great canopy and adjustable footrest. We got it when he was younger and when we thought he was more of an 80% percentile kid not an off the charts kid so I'm not sure of how it will do in the next year since I didn't look into it but as of right now we're really happy with it. We have the regular not deluxe and not the 3, so I'm not sure if it's still made anymore since I know they came out with a new one. It was also a great price point for what it is.
