I have Bugaboo Donkey and no regrets! Only issue was fitting through one door at the pediatricians office when they were in the car seats in an adapter in it but that was like 3-4 months and then its never been a problem. Glides smooth and the accessories are great like the snack holder. Still my favorite purchase! I did a lot of stuffed used but treated myself to this new and always love taking it out.

I think you have a bias problem with "...that have one baby in the front and one kind of neglected in the back...". For the first year, that set up is awesome - and keep in mind - infants can't see that far or that well yet for a bit - so the view isn't a concern. We had the city select double with a conversion for peg perego infant carriers and it was awesome. We also had a double bob and a bugaboo donkey (side by side) and two singles. For the first year - the city select was it. We never, ever had concerns about one baby being neglected. You can easily see both and both kids can easily see around. I would revisit the stacking single file double stroller.
r/parentsofmultiples • What stroller to buy? ->Bugaboo Donkey is very wide, look for something that not so wide, like out n about.. we have that; much more narrow; a dream to push and easy to close! With tandem, even if you are ok with it, as they grow your twins might fight as to who should get the better view and refuse to get in; I have heard that happening, so chose side by side!
r/parentsofmultiples • Has anyone bought a tandem stroller but later regretted not getting a side-by-side instead? ->I second the bugaboo donkey. I use mine daily and it fits through all doors since it's no bigger than an average wheelchair. It even fits in my building which is a pre-war built building. Only thing I hate is the little stroller bag/organizer/whatever it's called for the handle. Get yourself a double stroller organizer Edit: we have two cheap travel strollers for like $70 that we use for appointments but that's when there's a second person and it's just easier to maneuver subways
r/parentsofmultiples • What stroller to buy? ->Honestly the bugaboo donkey is THE best. Almost everyone uses it where I live, I have had 3 strollers and the bugaboo is the best one. Look at Facebook marketplace I got mine for $200 off there. It is also worth the price as it can last YEARS
r/2under2 • Side by side stroller recommendations ->I have the donkey 3, they are all almost the same just some minor differences but trust me when I say in sweden everyone gets a donkey stroller. I have seen some be reselled for a third or fourth time in great condition.
r/2under2 • Side by side stroller recommendations ->We have the bugaboo donkey duo. I live in a major city and do not have a car so having a stroller with ample undercarriage storage for groceries and has the capacity to have our kids in longer was important. Not to mention the ride is smoother and much easier to handle on bumpy sidewalks. I've used a bunch of other strollers when I was a nanny and this one truly is the best stroller I have ever handled. The stroller also can hold kids up to 50lbs per seat and we have 2 under 2 rn and plan to have more kids in the future once we move out of the city so we felt like it was worth the cost.
r/beyondthebump • 600 dollar and up stroller/car seat systems ->With my first (a singleton) we didn't have the parent facing seats and i have to say i didn't miss it. Most strollers have a little flap you can lift to look at your kids when they're facing away from you. That being said: The bugaboo toddler seats go flat so we switched to those when my twins were around 3 months old. Makes it a lot less bulky to transport. I do love the side by side as it is less heavy to manoeuvre and the bugaboo is as wide as a wheelchair so it fits through most doors (this may be true for other strollers as well though, idk tbh)
r/parentsofmultiples • Does anyone love the Bugaboo Donkey after the 1st year? ->Oh also, it's pretty easy to buy a donkey secondhan. Saves a lot of money and quality wise you can for sure use it for a couple of years when you get it secondhand.
r/parentsofmultiples • Does anyone love the Bugaboo Donkey after the 1st year? ->We went with bugaboo donkey side by side but had the same dilemma - it IS big, but when you have twins you are a travelling circus regardless of size. We love/loved it overall great stroller. We still use it regularly and my twins are almost 3. It fit through most doorways as it's the size of a wheelchair, but when they were small I would actually often strap one to me and use the donkey in single mode (which is actually smaller than most single tandem) which I loved for grocery shopping. I should note I live in a city so we are walking everywhere - I think if driving everywhere a side by side when kids are bigger - a stroller that has a one handed fold (Zoe, valco, jeep) would be wise to look into for getting in and out of the car. My only complaint with donkey is getting in and out of the car/folding it up isn't fun, we kept ours set up and just plopped the babies in. For reference we also have an umbrella double travel stroller for flights, and a bob double for running. Donkey is my fave but all for diff purposes!
r/parentsofmultiples • Has anyone bought a tandem stroller but later regretted not getting a side-by-side instead? ->Doona then bugaboo here, found it easier to collapse one handed than the yoyo
r/AskSF • Parents Question --Which Stroller to buy for SF living? ->I loved the idea of the orbit stroller until I had twins. If you're looking for a tandem light stroller I've heard great things about the cybex Gazelle double. Light and nice. We had the bugaboo donkey and found it great as the twins are at the same level and it fit through 99% of doors. We live in Europe so doors would be narrower generally.
r/parentsofmultiples • Looking for recommendations on baby strollers ->I have triplets but we have a Donkey, and honestly will be using it until the wheels fall off. Its so great to push and the babies love it. Its quite supportive too given my extreme hypotonic and hypertonic babies can sit in the seat relatively well with no complaints though we still use the bassinets too(they just turned a year but are still tiny!).
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →Yes it is very bulky but thats because its designed for 2 seats, plus the seating is very awkward for the bottom person when both seats are used. Personally I think if your gonna go with a double seater, just get a bugaboo donkey. If your having 1 child, id get the Cruz rather than the Vista. Even if I have or am having a 2nd, id go with the Donkey.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →Bugaboo is great, had one for both kids, if you wish we have one for sale, all black only used with one child. Dm if interested

r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →We were given a hand-me-down (baby jogger) which is very appreciated. However if money was no issue, I would have gone bugaboo. The user design is just so good. And one hand folding/unfolding action is just so nice. When it's a stroller and folded it also doesn't take up much space which was key for us in the city.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →I have bugaboo donkey 5 and honestly it fits through every door except my front door but quickly taking a seat off is so worth it! It makes life so much easier when out and about
r/UKParenting • View on Reddit →Cries in *Bugaboo Donkey* for 2under2. That said, it gets used daily.
r/beyondthebump • View on Reddit →We had a bugaboo chameleon and a donkey - they were fantastic. Easy to drive and very sturdy. Also had great resale value
r/HENRYUKLifestyle • View on Reddit →Doubles are always more bulky and harder to maneuver. If you insist on the double, I believe the easiest would be the bugaboo donkey which transitions from a single to double differently than most double strollers. When it comes to strollers/carseats, first decide on which carseat you may want. Choosing your carseat may limit your stroller selection, which is why I think it's good to choose the carseat first. Some infant seats are incompatible with certain brand strollers, etc. The most popular right now is the Nuna Pipa RX. These are very nice carseats and you can even buy an adapter for some different brand strollers that make the Pipa compatible with your other branded stroller frame. Of course you can always just stay with the same brand as your carseat if you don't want to bother doing any digging on compatibility..but where's the fun in that lol When it comes to stroller travel systems in general back when i dug down the rabbit hole i came away with 3 brands/models that were best in it's class for what I wanted, which was a single full stroller with all bells and whistles that you can think of. Bugaboo didn't meet my top 3, but it made #1 for me when it came to double strollers because of the Donkey. The 3 top performers were Nuna mixx next, Uppababy Cruz, and Silver Cross Reef. Personally I wanted a stroller for my 1 baby that was stroller seat would be newborn compatible for use with a flat recline so baby can sleep in it like a bassinet (but without having to buy the separate bassinet attachment (which is usually expensive). Of course with the other bells and whistles on each stroller, I came down to those 3 strollers. Everyone has different needs, so it all comes down to what your looking for.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →just spent a month researching. my takeaway: Nuna - loved this one the most (mixx or trvl xl) but all of the carseats/accesories make it extra pricey. my fav uber premium option uppababy- i found these all to be kind of rigid and too large. didn't like the vibe but its obvs popular mockingbird - decided on this one and so far love the balance of quality and price point. truly feels strong but also premium, while not being huge, and almost all the features feel obvious instead of buried silver cross - if you really want to go with the most premium it is indeed very nice. graco Modes nest - solid budget option. felt a little on the light/fragile side for me but if lightweight with versatility is important, this one isn't bad at all bugaboo - maybe the one i tried was a janky floor model but i didn't think it was smooth at all. nuna/mock crushed it
r/beyondthebump • View on Reddit →I bought a used vista and then bought a used bugaboo donkey after the they were born. I don't regret it because I use each one for different trips. I like the bugaboo when I'm out alone because I can face them towards me so people don't try to touch them (which has happened a lot in the vista unfortunately). I was only able to buy both because I bought them used. If I was only going to buy one stroller I'd stick with the vista as it fits in most places. In your case the cybex gazelle.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →Okay so I love my Bugaboo side by side. Especially because you can use it as a single stroller and but the other one in a carrier on you! My twins were fussy in the stroller when they were smaller so I couldn't imagine having them below on another.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →I've used the Minu V2 with UB Mesa car seat as my stroller system since birth, and my husband and I both love it. We use it every day. I was weighing between the Bugaboo vs Minu. Compared to the Bugaboo, the Minu feels sturdier and was a better option for my tall husband. (The Bugaboo's wheels are a bit smaller/narrower so he would kick them. The handlebar is also lower on the Bugaboo.) I've taken the Minu to Disney, down cobblestone, and short grass and it does fine. Obviously it's not going to be as smooth of a ride over uneven terrain as a full-size stroller, but it doesn't give you issues/get stuck on terrain. My friend has the Bugaboo that seems to get stuck more often.. but overall they're both such high quality with very similar folds, etc.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →Prefer the higher end strollers myself like Bugaboo, Nuna, Uppababy. But car seat? No just get what has a good safety rating and it's in your budget. I have a bugaboo stroller and a Graco convertible car seat. Didn't bother with a car seat that attaches to the stroller because the stroller I bought has a bassinet in the package. I don't mind transferring baby.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →A few people in my family are pediatric PTs, so I got a lot of advice from them about hip and foot development! While our baby was an infant: * We used a soft baby carrier (Moby wrap) which fits infants well and supports their head! * We clipped the car seat into the stroller but never kept her in it more than 2 hours total * She HATED lay flat pram type strollers. We had a bugaboo, but only used it 2-3 times. Otherwise I'd babywear. So you might want to see what they're like or try out strollers (loan, used, in the store) once you have the baby before shelling out money on it! When she was older (4-6+ months): * She liked the ergobaby Omni carrier, but she was at a weird height, and we didn't use it as much as we planned. I've heard that outward facing isn't great for hips, but unfortunately that was her favorite direction. * We got a Hope and Plum carrier that was inward facing. She loved this! We loaned it to a friend. Their baby hated it! There are carrier loaning libraries and companies where you can try carriers before shelling out on anything expensive. * We started to use more of a travel stroller (think joolz aer) around 6 months. It was nice to have a stroller we could fly with that was smaller. If we'd kept a pram stroller, we couldn't have flown with it! * We never used jolly jumpers or bumbo seats. These are what I heard more concerns about re: hip dysplasia. I've heard upseats are better for this than bumbo. * We used a baby Bjorn bouncer, but never kept her in it over 15 minutes.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →I have the Bugaboo Donkey and I'm madly in love with it. I have a 4 year old and twin 11 month olds. I live in a big city and walk/take public transit everywhere. The stroller handles so smoothly, will be useful for years, has the storage space I need, and even though it's enormous, with the rider board it's a relatively space efficient way to transport three children. We don't have a car; in a way, this stroller is our car. Just like a car, or shoes, or a mattress, it just makes sense to invest in quality for something I'll use so much. Plus we can afford it.
r/beyondthebump • View on Reddit →Our first went into the convertible seat at around 7-8 months, she HATED the infant seat. It was worth it to us. She's almost 5 now and we still use it as intended. I'm kicking around not using the infant seat for baby 2. Stroller? I got a barely used Bugaboo for $200 and it's been a dream. Smooth handling, one hand steering, I do not regret that. Will be using for surprise baby 2. Crib? No. When she was ready we put her directly in a larger bed so we could lay with her when needed. I got a cheaper brand crib and had zero issues. Same with the mattress.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →Yes the Bugaboo donkey 5 Twin (the side by side bassinets). You can either place two bassinets or make the stroller smaller so you only place I bassinet. I'm bad at explaining so bear with me lol. The bugaboo twin is made for two bassinets or two buggy seats. To place two of whatever kind you have to expand the stoller sideways to it becomes wider. You can however leave it in the 'smaller' part (there's secure locks at 3 points) and only place one bassinet or one seat and not be left with a huge gap on the side.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →Still loving the Donkey for my 15 month olds!
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →The twin and duo have the same base! The difference is that with the duo you get one bassinet and one seat and with the twin you get two of each.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →Bugaboo Donkey hands down. We had the Silver Cross Wave system, which is one behind the other. It was fine while they were newborn in the car seats, but they wanted to see each other after the first few months and even the "universal" Silver Cross ride-on board for our oldest doesn't work with the Wave. Most tandems (in front and behind) are much wider than you think, and not actually that different than some of the side by sides. The Wave was so easy to drive, but was simply so long it caused issues plus the twins wanted to interact, so we switched to a used Bugaboo Donkey. Was 100% the right move. The Donkey is also collapsible so it can be used as a single pram if someone does occasionally only take one twin out, though not sure how often that realistically will happen as I can't think of a single time that happened for us. Both prams took up about the same amount of boot space. Even if you decide to not get the Donkey, get a side by side, not a tandem. Having driven a few of both, they're not that much narrower.

r/nycparents • View on Reddit →We have Bugaboo. It's sturdy, can carry a lot. But huge. Even when folded, you need a big car to carry it around.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →We have the Bugaboo Donkey 5 and it's great. It's sturdy, light and easy to use. And it's just narrow enough that it can get through most store doors and such. We bought it second hand since it's quite expensive though.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →Uppababy vista plus nuna pipa car seat is a solid combo (needs a connecting piece). Bugaboo donkey is one of the best in terms of configurations for two kids but is super expensive. I think there's also an adapter for nuna pipa.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →We have the donkey and LOVE it. Our babies are 13 months apart and it's been the best stroller ever. The ride is super smooth, easy to control (no weird weight distribution). I can see both babies at the same time, big brother can try to hold sister's hand, and it actually does fit everywhere. We haven't had any door problems. Fits in our trunk easily (Honda pilot), and isn't too heavy once you get the hang of it. We easily switch it to the single within a minute or so. The downside is the price but I've seen a ton of facebook market place. I honestly think the price is worth it.
r/2under2 • View on Reddit →Came here to recommend this. 16 month age gap and it's the best purchase I've ever made.
r/2under2 • View on Reddit →Definitely invest in a good pram first since they generally last longer and more sturdy but I would get it second hand. Not worth paying thousands of dollars if a second hand one does the trick! I initially wanted the bugaboo but I couldn't justify myself paying thousands of dollars for brand new one and I felt awful asking my parents to buy it since they were offering to buy a pram as a gift. So we decided on the steelcraft which we had no issues with and used it up till bubs was about 3 then we purchased a travel stroller (baby jogger tour 2) to travel overseas. When I was pregnant with my second, we saw a second hand bugaboo for sale and purchased it. No regrets at all and I did a lot of research on that specific model and they are the best in my opinion for "off roading". But it all comes down to how many kids you are planning to have, their age gap, and how often you use the pram/stroller. Our kids are 4 years a part so getting any double pram was useless since our 4 almost 5 year old (15kgs) would be too heavy for the second seat anyways. Most prams seat limit are probably between 17-23kgs so keep that in mind and check the limit. Prams are good for going on your daily walk or big trips like to the zoo or a park since it will be easier to push on uneven ground, more comfortable and generally have much more storage compared to the strollers. Strollers are great for travel and bigger kids. We used it when we had to run to the shops quickly or going out for lunch. Something easy to take out quickly but can be purchased later down the track.

r/nycparents • View on Reddit →Nope, that would be great! Online. Their strollers are absolute best! The quality is superior. Only con is you have to assembly yourself and no store. Customer service is great!
r/nycparents • View on Reddit →We really like our bugaboo donkey but I think it really depends where you live in the world for if it'll go through doors. In the UK many old buildings, particularly small shops it will not fit. It only just fits through our front door at home. The other thing to consider with it is if it'll fit in your car, with two bassinets it takes up a lot of space. However it is a great product with lots of flexibility with its different setups, all the alternatives we looked at had a compromise somewhere.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →Albee baby has almost all the models. That's where we got our bugaboo
r/nycparents • View on Reddit →It's wild and honestly made me feel a little bad for buying second hand 😂 but tbh second hand was fun we got to try out many different brands LOL buy and sell. Gotta say the yoyo and bugaboo strollers weren't really our favourites despite the popularity.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →I have a lot. I got almost all of the used. I have a Yoyo which is my favorite for my toddler, it folds up so small that I got for $150 at a yard sale, a Bob jogging stroller which is great for rough terrain, an Uppababy double stroller so my 4 month old and 2 year old can both go in it, a wagon which is so heavy but good for multiple kids, I just bought a colugo compact for using days if use the yoyo because it folds up small too. I had 2 other Bob stroller that I got free so I gave one to my brother, I got a bugaboo from a church sale that I gave to my brother, I had a colugo complete which I really liked but it was so heavy so I'm selling that, I have a Graco stroller that my older son hated and I have the base stroller that works with the newborn car seat. My husband and everyone says it's crazy to have so many but the first stroller we had, the Graco, was terrible and my son cried the entire time in it. He was so hot. I finally tried a different stroller when he was like 18 months old and he didn't cry, he also didn't overheat. I feel like I'm forgetting a stroller haha I really went through so many before finding what works. I wish I could find another yoyo for that price, that is a great stroller but they're so expensive new. The Uppababy is good but it's so heavy, I've only used that from the house around the neighborhood. I wouldn't want to get that in and out of a car.
r/Mommit • View on Reddit →Unless it's wider than 60cm you shouldn't have any issues. We have been using a bugaboo donkey 5 for three now and never had issues with public transport.
r/berlin • View on Reddit →Bugaboo Donkey 5- none better but definitely pricey. Handles beautifully and is gorgeous with great resale value. You can use one bassinet and one seat next to each other then switch to two seats when your infant is bigger
r/2under2 • View on Reddit →Bugaboo Donkey twin! Expensive but: - drives really well in the city - has side by side bassinets, so we could see the babies well and they could nap easily - feels very stable However, it's huge and doesn't fit in our trunk so we have a snap and go that comes in the car with us when necessary.
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →I mean there isn't any data published. At best you will get anecdotal stories which aren't particularly insightful. Presumably, 99.9% of people who bring strollers have no issues. I have bought higher end strollers (Uppababy, Bugaboo) in a dozen times and had no issues. I use an AirTag, mostly because once or twice cast members have moved them (or my spouse parked it, but I retrieved it) and it's helpful. Personally, I think the concerns about stroller theft are overblown. It's a highly secure and monitored area, that costs hundreds of dollars to enter. I think items in strollers is more common, but even that I think is rampant. Anecdotally I've had no issues and leave both my stroller and items in it unattended for long durations. But, again, without data we are all just speculating.
