Same here! My brother lent me his Vista and we bought the Bugaboo Butterfly before our first trip. My husband hated using a stroller until he tried the Bugaboo. I'm using the Vista with my second now since he is little and the bassinet is 10/10 but I find the Vista so heavy in general and it barely fits in our car with a seat attached. I'm thinking of getting the Bugaboo attachment for my oldest so he can stand when we use the stroller once my youngest is older. We will probably also baby-wear my youngest a lot until summer comes so we're not in a rush.

Butterfly! We've legit gone down aisle on an airplane with it. People always get amazed by it. It's super light and folds like a dream.

Got the Nuna Triv next because it was supposed to be lightweight without compromising features. I hated it. Hate the fold. Hate that it doesn't stay folded/flops open all the time. Hate the stupid buckles that always get twisted. It was heavy/bulky to me. Getting it in and out of my car just pissed me off. Got the butterfly 2 and am so much happier. Is it as smooth as ride as the triv? Nope but my baby could not care less. If you value easy, one handed fold and a lightweight, well-thought out design (the buckles are so much easier!) get the butterfly.

I have the butterfly and want that Aer+ 😭. True bigger basket and has sturdy feel but the Joolz is lighter by -3 or -4 lbs and I find once baby is older than 6months lighter stroller is most important

How big are the kids? We love our Bugaboo Butterfly for all travel. Its super lightweight, folds up tiny (fits under the cabin beds or in the closet) and I can maneuver it one handed pretty easily. It's good up to 50lbs

We were in the same boat last year thinking uppa baby vista v2 was the right choice until I tried it in the store. It was just way too heavy. Didn't seem suitable for the city/subway (I wasn't in nyc at that time but was expected to move soon) either. We then researched on the lightest strollers and ended up deciding on bugaboo butterfly and I cannot stress how happy we are with that decision. It is insanely lightweight. It's also IATA approved which means you don't need a secondary travel stroller for your vacations. We put it in the overhead compartment so don't have any wear/tear from airline travel. Has a great basket for groceries/basket at the bottom and also opens and closes with one hand. I think the nuna trvl is also a great choice similar to this so you should def check these out.

Controversial opinion: don't get 1 do it all stroller. Get several "specialty" strollers, optimized for a specific purpose and buy them used/cheap (unless you have 1 type you want to splurge on). Example: We bought a used graco click-lock that worked with his car seat. It lived in the car. We did some travel, so bought a significantly cheaper knock-off version of the Bugaboo Butterfly. Finally, we wanted a really good jogging stroller so splurged on a Bob All-terrain. Had an adapter for the car seat until he outgrew it. All three of those combined NEW (even if you max out with the BOB All-terrain Pro) come out to less than the Bugaboo Fox 5. And you may not need all of those and/or can buy in stages.

Bugaboo Kangaroo is far superior to the Uppababy. We have a Silver Cross Wave but if I were to go back and do it all over again I'd get a Bugaboo all the way. We do have the Bugaboo Butterfly as our travel stroller and use that way more (fits in overhead bin on airplane!)

Have you tried both of these strollers in person? Not sure where you are located but most Nordstroms typically carry both and their baby gear experts can walk you through the differences. The quality of the bugaboo fabric & build felt better as well as suspension. The uppababy strollers I tried felt cheap in comparison. Bugaboo Butterfly is worth getting for travel alone! We started using it when our son was maybe 5 months old and that's all we use now. We're at Disneyland this week and have a Thule jogging stroller and the Silver Cross Wave and Bugaboo Butterfly. Brought the Butterfly on this trip and are so glad we did!

Oh cool, that's new. It wasn't there a few weeks ago when I was looking. Everything I read said it wasn't coming out in the US and that it wouldn't recline as far. It's the same as the Bugaboo butterfly. I was knee deep in this a few weeks back 🫠 I don't think it goes all the way flat though....

We also bought a bugaboo and lucked out tha it was a practically new second hand one. It was so sturdy and took such a beating. That being said, I kind of wish we had gotten a cybex. It would have fit with our car seat which also reclined enough for it to not be dangerous to leave a bay in it for a short shopping trip. One of the biggest things we looked at were the wheels. We have lots of cobblestones where we are so they had to be big. People with small wheels get stuck all the time.

I mean there isn't any data published. At best you will get anecdotal stories which aren't particularly insightful. Presumably, 99.9% of people who bring strollers have no issues. I have bought higher end strollers (Uppababy, Bugaboo) in a dozen times and had no issues. I use an AirTag, mostly because once or twice cast members have moved them (or my spouse parked it, but I retrieved it) and it's helpful. Personally, I think the concerns about stroller theft are overblown. It's a highly secure and monitored area, that costs hundreds of dollars to enter. I think items in strollers is more common, but even that I think is rampant. Anecdotally I've had no issues and leave both my stroller and items in it unattended for long durations. But, again, without data we are all just speculating.

I've been really happy with the Bugaboo Butterfly. It fits really easily in the car, too, so it's been nice as my son gets older and I don't want to haul around the UppaBaby Cruz filling half my truck.

Started with the UppaBaby Vista V2 for baby #1 because I knew I wanted a double stroller. Loved it for long day trips and using it with the bassinet and Nuna Pippa car seat but it is heavy. I got the Bugaboo Butterfly and it's our daily stroller. Absolutely the best baby purchase I've made. We now won't be able to use it as much with baby #2 on the way but I plan on using it alongside a baby carrier or even a ride along board if possible. Excited to use the Vista V2 as a double even though I've heard mixed reviews

As an IVF person who had a kid later, I went all out. Bugaboo stroller, Clek car seat, etc.... I didn't have a registry. You are in a different place. I also believe in buying car seats and mattresses new for safety reasons. If you are being asked for a registry, I would populate it with small easy items and nothing big if this is a point of consternation among or if they are feeling financial pressure - it's also just good practice for a registry. But something meaningful like a nice book or something cute so people can engage in getting something adorable for the baby. As for work, avoid talking about it any more or say you're getting everything used off facebook marketplace (which actually does work well, I just didn't have energy while pregnant to go around buying things - I could have saved so much). Loved the baby bjorn bouncer by the way.

I love the bugaboo butterfly. It has the one second fold, made of great fabric, 5 point harness, *almost* a flat recline, and fits in the overhead compartment of both domestic and international flight aircrafts. I know you said you are ok checking it, but it can be really helpful to have it on hand and make sure it doesn't get damaged during transport. It's not going to be great in cobblestone streets, but with travel strollers you give up that comfort that heavier strollers provide for the convenience.

We started with the uppababy Cruz and clicked in the nuna pipa car seat with the adapter. It's very smooth and just feels nice to push. As our baby got older, we added a bob jogging stroller because the roads in our neighborhood aren't smooth. We added the bugaboo butterfly recently since she likes to run around now and doesn't care much for the stroller anymore. The one handed fold and compactness is really nice. We also have a wonderfold wagon but only plan to use it for long outings to the zoo.

Almost $1800 CAD for the UppaBaby Vista + Nuna car seat combo. Recently, for baby #2 we spent another $300 for the rumble seat to use it as a double. I also bought $600 Bugaboo Butterfly travel stroller which I've used far more than the Vista and it's my favorite stroller because of how comfortable it is to travel with, folds like a dream, and is so lightweight compared to the Vista which feels like a bus in comparison lol

I'm convinced it's a conspiracy by the stroller companies to make you either buy more than one or buy the ultra expensive ones and all their ultra expensive add-ons. When mine was a newborn, we liked the travel system stroller that his car seat popped into (Chicco Bravo) well enough. It's a little bulky, the wheels started to squeak after a while, but it's solid at least. After about a year, the Bugaboo Butterfly has been the GOAT. It doesn't have as many bells and whistles, like cupholders and a tray, but I can open and close it one handed, and steer it one handed, and it takes up so little space.

I do think a small, one-handed fold travel stroller is a must for the city. I'm a first time mom but from what I've seen around, people have all the popular options, and it seems like you can't go wrong - Joolz Aer, yoyo, minu, nuna trvl, bugaboo butterfly. We have the butterfly because we wanted one that would fit in the overhead bin on a plane. Not all do. We tried to do without a travel stroller and just rock our big stroller (bugaboo fox) with the bassinet attachment, great wheels and suspension, big under basket but caved and got a travel stroller too. The big one is so comfortable for long walks but impossible for subway or to pack up in the trunk for drives. And it only works for us to have because we never unfold it - we have a space in our building that's easy to store it so it's not just out in our living room all the time. So I'd say get the travel stroller and whatever infant attachment/insert works with it but wait on a second stroller until you know how much space you'll have.

I have a 22 month old and just found out I'm pregnant with #2. I have the uppababy Cruz and bugaboo butterfly which are single strollers and don't regret those purchases. My toddler doesn't like sitting in strollers anymore but I'll probably get the riding board for the strollers I have in case she doesn't want to walk.

The minu's backboard seat is super flimsy. It literally feels like cardboard wrapped in fabric. My baby had a hard time sitting straight in it. Somehow it forces her to slide forward. It's a good looking stroller but the seat is junk. My friend has the butterfly and the seat just looks so much comfier.

Definitely agree it depends on where you live and what kind of transportation you regularly will use. We have a big Bugaboo stroller we really like but we don't live in Seoul and only walk or drive day to day. When we are up in Seoul visiting family we have a smaller more compact stroller that is much more portable. Bulky strollers are not very conducive to Seoul's subways or catching a quick taxi when their trunk space is pretty small. We absolutely wouldn't be able to get our main stroller into any sedan cab I've ever caught here. If you really like your current stroller and it's not cost prohibitive I'd say still bring it, even if you only use it in your neighborhood. Coupang (Korean Amazon equivalent) has plenty of quality stroller options if you want to get a more portable one once you see what your day to day will be like.

We have the butterfly and yes an investment but if you do travel a lot so so worth it. The fold is great, especially when traveling in your own with kiddo, wheels and suspension are fantastic as well. No issue on cobble stones, etc.

We have 3. Started with the uppababy Cruz which we used as our main stroller when my toddler was younger. The roads in my neighborhood aren't smooth and have tons of small rocks so her head kept bouncing around on walks which led us to get a BOB jogging stroller. Once she could walk and was less interested in the stroller, we got the bugaboo butterfly to keep in the car and now use that when needed. All 3 serve different purposes and although I haven't used the Cruz in a year, I'll be using it once my second comes in the summer.

Having just purchased a travel stroller, we looked at the stokke yoyo, bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu v3, silvercross jet 5, and joolz aer -- all comply with most overhead cabin sizing. I would recommend also purchasing the stroller case/carrier so it looks more like a standard carry-on. Some airline staff might make you gate-check regardless of size once they see that it is a stroller. Having the cover/case will reduce that issue.

I got the minu v3 and it seemed so flimsy for the price. Returned it and bought the bugaboo butterfly and I love it so much - one handed fold, super light weight. I'm 5'2 and husband is 6'2 and we both use it comfortably. I tested the AER plus and 2 and this seemed better.

We also started with the Graco prammette, but recently upgraded to the Bugaboo Butterfly 2. The bassinet feature was AMAZING when he was tiny since we live in a very urban area and do lots of walking. Though agreed, it's a little wobbly depending on how you position them in it. However, our kiddo is big (95+ percentile) and very quickly outgrew the bassinet weight limit (around 3 months) and now even the normal stroller seat is too small for his booty/thighs (he's not even 5 months 😅). The Bugaboo is miles above and beyond the Graco. It's ridiculous. It's so much more smooth, significantly lighter for carrying down our rowhouse steps, and he fits so well in it/seems so much more comfortable. In hindsight, I probably would have opted for the Bugaboo system with the bassinet, but we still get good mileage from the Graco since it clicks in with his car seat (we now just leave it in the car for dr appts).
