We have a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 travel stroller with the adapters for our Graco carseat, and we use this combination for almost everything. It's great for car and air travel, but also just as a small around-town stroller. It's great for bringing into casual restaurants and places like breweries and food halls, and also great for shopping trips. We also have a Graco Modes Pramette that we got second hand and use that with a separate bassinet attachment (the convertible seat/bassinet is pretty wobbly so we don't use it anymore), but since it's pretty big we only use it for walks around the neighborhood and don't take it along with us when we drive anywhere. We did this once and it was a PITA and barely fit in my SUV! Now we just take the baby jogger everywhere, and now that my baby is 3 months and can hold her head up better, we feel comfortable using the baby jogger in the recline mode (it's not all the way flat) if we don't keep her in the carseat atrached. She's still too small for being strolled around in the baby jogger alone without the carseat (she's tiny and the stroller straps are still pretty loose on her), but eventually we'll use it as our only stroller and get rid of the Graco one.

I have the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 and love it! So lightweight, it has a nice fold, and my Graco car seat snaps in with adapters (sold separately). I think they have some other brands' car seat adapters too. Edit: I got mine as an open box on eBay, and it's in great condition and was around $100. Don't be afraid of open box or second hand!

About to have our second. We have Uppababy Cruz for day to day at home, and the Baby Jogger CityTour 2 for travel abroad. Luckily we have a 3.5y age gap and our first hasn't used one in a long time, so we've no need for a double or anything. We are considering possibly going abroad before baby is 6mo so I may rent a newborn travel one for that purpose vs getting the bassinet clip on for the baby jogger.

Maybe check out the baby jogger city tour 2. It's travel friendly and light. There are adapters for a baby jogger or graco infant seat. It doesn't have a bassinet function but does lay flat with adjustable calf support. I was a nanny for family who had it and while I didn't take it on hikes, I had no issue pushing it on non-paved park trails. If I was you, I would purchase a stroller that meets your other needs and then decide later if you still need a more heavy duty stroller for hiking.

I went with uppababy vista for our first baby because we planned on having more kids and the options to expand made sense for us. Highly recommend. Price tag is worth it and then some. Now that I'm on baby number two (3yo and newborn) I'm using the whole set again, except swapped to a Nuna car seat because I gave my Mesa to a friend who is still using it so another friend gave me her Nuna ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It is NOT travel friendly. We lugged it on a trip when my son was 10 months and it was a hassle. We bought an umbrella stroller (baby jogger city tour2 in costal) immediately after that trip and never looked back. Another word of caution - it has a large footprint so you need the storage space for it. We keep it in the garage or tucked into a corner of our dining room if we have to bring it in... but it's definitely not for compact spaces/ small cars/ limited storage. Also note - I use the bassinet on a stand in my bedroom as baby's sleep space for now and will transition her to our crib in the existing nursery when she's ready and my son is settled in to his "big boy" room (he's still in the nursery with a toddler rail on the crib).

I got the uppababy system with my first, now on my second and it's back in daily use as a double. It's a behemoth so it only makes sense if you already drive a larger SUV and live in an area where big wheels are needed. When my first was a bit older and in a regular car seat we switched to a travel stroller (baby jogger city tour2) becuase it's lighter and more compact but would break out the uppababy for the bigger basket and better suspension as needed.

My son was really fussy and would only sleep on the move. For his first winter (not newborn, months 8-11 in the northeast) I would babycarry and wore my husbands snowboarding jacket over both of us. Baby was definitely warm, I wore shoes with good grip and avoided icy areas. My first stroller was the uppababy vista because it suited our needs (converts to double, wooded area so needed something that could go over sticks and gravel, we drive big cars so the bulk didn't matter). We use the cozy ganoush for naps outside When my son was bigger we used the baby jogger city tour 2, super compact and suits most of our needs. Good ventilation for warm weather and lightweight for travel. We didn't use this feature but technically you can use their car seat with it. It can be used from infancy but I don't use it winter conditions... ok for the mall/ groceries/ indoor track for winter outings. Now with 2 kids (3.5boy, 3month girl) - I'm back to using the ub vista as a double.. my son still likes to go in the stroller occasionally because we are very active and his little legs get tired.

I had 4 at one point (kids are 14 months apart), 2 single joggers (we were training for a 10k as a couple), a double and a wagon. My kids are 7 and 8 now and we just have the wagon that one side comes down and becomes a bench. Plus our dog is getting up there and so she walks a couple blocks and catches a ride now haha.

I have the baby jogger city tour 2 which has been great for a few trips and have done both carry on and checked it in. It's one hand fold, lays almost totally flat ( need this for non-sitting babies), decent basket and canopy, fold out leg rest. It's not the cutest pram but got it for all the features and it has been great.

It does not have a decent sized basket at all (but I'm not sure any true travel prams do?) but the baby jogger city tour 2 is great for tall kids. My tall 2.5 year old still fits very comfortably in it.

Definitely invest in a good pram first since they generally last longer and more sturdy but I would get it second hand. Not worth paying thousands of dollars if a second hand one does the trick! I initially wanted the bugaboo but I couldn't justify myself paying thousands of dollars for brand new one and I felt awful asking my parents to buy it since they were offering to buy a pram as a gift. So we decided on the steelcraft which we had no issues with and used it up till bubs was about 3 then we purchased a travel stroller (baby jogger tour 2) to travel overseas. When I was pregnant with my second, we saw a second hand bugaboo for sale and purchased it. No regrets at all and I did a lot of research on that specific model and they are the best in my opinion for "off roading". But it all comes down to how many kids you are planning to have, their age gap, and how often you use the pram/stroller. Our kids are 4 years a part so getting any double pram was useless since our 4 almost 5 year old (15kgs) would be too heavy for the second seat anyways. Most prams seat limit are probably between 17-23kgs so keep that in mind and check the limit. Prams are good for going on your daily walk or big trips like to the zoo or a park since it will be easier to push on uneven ground, more comfortable and generally have much more storage compared to the strollers. Strollers are great for travel and bigger kids. We used it when we had to run to the shops quickly or going out for lunch. Something easy to take out quickly but can be purchased later down the track.

Hi. I've been working in this industry over 20 years and I have opinions lol. Joolz Aer. Bugaboo butterfly. Inglesina quid3. Baby Jogger City Tour. Joie nutmeg. Nuna TRVL LX. All of these are very solid options. If you go to my Instagram, I have a video on the quid that I put up yesterday and there was also a giveaway and a discount code. And full disclosure I do not make anything from that code if you use it it's just to help people save some money. 🫡

Nuna TRVL works with the Pipa and their products are generally great. How old is your kiddo? We have a Babyjogger city tour 2 and used that + a travel carseat pretty early on (but we always checked our carseat, never carried it on, so we didn't care about the carseat working with the travel stroller.

I have the city jogger tour 2. I'm also an cruz user but when my 1st was about 20 mo we went on an international trip to France and got the city jogger tour 2 and it was a great fit. Sturdy enough for lots of walking miles but folded with one hand while you held a child with the other. I used it for nearly 2 years after that as our everyday stroller. Great for bus/subway/throw in the car. Im looking forward to busting it back out for baby 2 this spring.

I wouldnt bring either. I would bring a cosco scenera next for carseat because its cheap and lightweight and a travel stroller that folds small (i reccomend city tour 2 because it's inexpensive and we love it, but babyzen yoyo, uppababy minu or bugaboo butterfly are all also highly reccomended). Buy travel stroller secondhand to save money. You cannot use your doona as a stroller in europe. Like absolutely not. At that point its an incredibly heavy carseat, i wouldnt want to lug that accross the globe. Your main stroller is also so bulky and heavy.

My son was born in January this year. I'm in southern Alberta, but our winters are also unpredictable. I honestly didn't go outside a ton, for the following reasons • my winter coat didn't fit properly still. I couldn't zip it up, and I wasn't about to buy a new one until I was more regulated pp, that way it would still be good for the future • it is pretty windy here if it's warmer in the winter, and wind makes me miserable. • the days went by so fast, and I found that I rarely had the idea of going on a walk until it was close to evening That said, we did go out every now and then. I bought a secondhand city baby jogger (the brand is literally baby jogger lol) and I really enjoy how smooth it is to drive. It also has capabilities for double seating (if you are thinking of eventually having another). It was great through the snow and ice, and the seat can be turned into a bassinet, although I think you need a special frame that's sold separately. Since ours was secondhand it came with that already. We didn't use the bassinet too often though, and the only reason we used it at all is because I hadn't ordered the adaptors for the car seat. Once I had those I literally just popped the car seat on every time. I don't think you NEED a bassinet personally, but if you think you might use it, get a stroller that doesn't need extra parts to convert. That's my opinion.

I highly recommend looking for second hand options. We got an UppaBaby Cruz V1 in 2022 for $200 on Facebook marketplace. Tag says it was made in 2018 and the thing is a tank. It came with the bassinet and I bought a new UppaBaby car seat to go with it. We are expecting baby 2 now and will have a 27-month age gap. I plan on buying the new UppaBaby Minu Duo to use with both kids. I personally would not want the Vista due to its size. I prefer side-by-side for double strollers and am glad to have a lightweight option for both everyday use and travel. I got a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 for 60% off to use as a smaller travel stroller with my firstborn. It is more lightweight and compact compared to the UB Cruz. When we travel, either by plane or super packed car, it is the only stroller we bring. However, the UB is sooo much nicer. You really do get what you pay for.

I'm also in Ottawa. I wouldn't bother buying a "travel system". Find a stroller that you love and get an adapter for the car seat if you aren't really a winter person then I would go for something that you find easy to get in an out of your car for going places. We have a all terrain stroller ( Bumbleride Era) for walks around home and then a car stroller( baby jogger city tour 2) that is way easier for me to get in out of the car. It's great for going to the museum etc. The Ottawa Facebook marketplace has a ton of strollers available usually and second hand can be an awesome option. We used a Chicco keyfit car seat with an adapter with the Era but it has a lay flat seat as well.its just way to heavy to pop to the grocery store etc so that's why we got the city tour.

It has enough bells and whistles, plus sleek design, paired with actual shock absorption and is super user friendly. I already have a waitlist of people whiteout kids who want to buy it off of us when we're done.

We have a Baby Jogger City Tour 2, it's been to Europe and on domestic USA trips with us several times, both in cabin and checked at the gate, my 4yr old sometimes still sits in it, my 2yr old loves it. The level of recline available is awesome for naps and it has held up great on all kinds of terrain. My kids sometimes sit together on it (combined weight around 70lbs) and it does fantastic. If we were to have another kid, I honestly would not bother getting a different stroller, I would just get the car seat adapters for whatever infant car seat we choose. My only con is that I wish the sunshade was a little bit bigger as we live somewhere quite sunny, but it's really not a deal breaker.

That's impressive. I think we had 6 in total. My favourites were the BabyJogger Citi with the one-hand fold and the Mountain Buggy one that can fit in an aeroplane overhead locker. Folding those in front of other parents was a major flex. But commuting with an infant and toddler it was essential. They put in a high shelf in the crèche's stroller store for our MB. Some mornings I'd walk in with it slung over my shoulder with the strap.

I have a Babyjogger City Tour 2 that has okay-ish suspension and we use for flying (we gate check). It's also on the cheaper end when we got it, so would have less heartbreak if it got damaged in transit. Our main at home is the Guava Roam which fits in our car (the Cruz does not when the seat is on) and has better suspension for cracks in the pavement and our LO has been in it since 4 months. Our friend tried to use a Minu V3 as a main, but ended up getting a second hand vista because the Minu was rickety in their neighborhood.

There's a lot of choices but I got a baby jogger city tour 2 for a trip to Europe when my son was like 20mo and when we got back it became our main stroller and lasted for years. We actually just busted it back out for baby 2. It's a great combination of compactness and durability and some ruggedness. Like it won't work on sand (honestly the only ones I've seen really work on sand are the Thule strollers) but it can take rougher sidewalks etc. Our main stroller is a Cruz which is also spectacular but not good for getting on the train or bus.

So it all depends on your budget and what you are looking for. For a car seat I went with the Graco snugride 35 lite, as it is one of the lightest car seats, that also has a high safety rating, but also doesn't cost a kidney to buy. 7.2lbs car seat +7.9 lbs baby = lifting 15 lbs repetitively. For our everyday stroller we went with the baby jogger mini GT2, I love it as it is a more heavy-duty stroller now that he's older. I did regret it in the beginning when he was so small, I wish I got a stroller with a bassinet attachment since I love to go on walks. But now that he's older and bigger and can fit in the straps and not have to snap on the car seat all the time, I love it. For a travel stroller we got the baby jogger City tour 2, it's only 14 lbs and it's overhead bin carry on approved size and comes with a carry bag to protect it. For a convertible car seat, I'm looking into the evenflo 360 extended, but more searching and reading is needing to be done. But I am favouring ones that rotate, my must have is extended height and weight limits. Edit to add: both strollers have attachments to be able to snap the car seat in that we have to make them a travel system. The Mini GT2 came with them, the city tour 2 we had to buy separately.

No doubt, traveling with two little ones is tough enough, and bulky strollers just add to the stress. But you can definitely find lightweight, versatile strollers that include bassinets and work with infant car seats. Models like the UPPAbaby G-Link V2 and Baby Jogger City Tour 2 fold compactly, are easy to maneuver, and switch from single to double easily. As a mom, I totally get the overwhelm of endless stroller research, [this thread with top double stroller](https://www.reddit.com/r/KeepThisInMind/comments/1lourwj/recommend_the_best_double_strollers_for_travel/) reviews really helps clear things up and can make your travels smoother.

Check out the Graco Gomax infant seat. its designed exactly for this an CPSTs in the US love it. It also has a really light weight stroller frame to go with it. [https://www.gracobaby.com/shop/car-seats/infant-car-seats/gomax-baseless-infant-car-seat-ft.-insta-install-rigid-latch/SAP\_2219741.html](https://www.gracobaby.com/shop/car-seats/infant-car-seats/gomax-baseless-infant-car-seat-ft.-insta-install-rigid-latch/SAP_2219741.html) It doesnt have a big basket from pictures but a lot of the strollers with big baskets are soooo heavy. Carrying baby, carseat and a stroller is a lot especially in an Uber. PLus you have to unload the stroller in to the uber to fold the stroller up anyway. But it would work with any of the graco strollers and they have a ton of options. or a Graco adapter for another stroller. Adapters seem like a giant pain but they really arnt that bad. Personally i have two strollers. A car stroller and a walking/all terrain stroller. i have a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 in my car and a Bumbleride Era. It has a lay flat stroller seat and we added on the infant insert for that stage. The Era is great. i absolutely love it unless im taking it in an out of the car all the time. then it's just to heavy which is why i have the baby jogger that i keep in the car.

Single and double umbrella strollers for traveling, single and double Baby Jogger strollers for neighborhood walks, click-in stroller shell for the infant car seat when they were too little to sit up yet, wagon, and briefly a sit/stand stroller from Buy Nothing that I didn't love and passed on quickly.

There are so many options, too many! If you know you're going to travel by plane, perhaps go ahead and get a travel stroller that you can use with an infant car seat. You'll discover your preferences and what you really need once baby is here. Highly recommend Uppababy Minu V3 and a compatible infant car seat. We bought our Uppababy Cruz V1 (including the bassinet) on FBMP for $200 in 2022 when I was pregnant with baby #1. I actually preferred baby wearing, so we really only used the stroller for those early doctor appointments and then later when he got too big to carry. I really love the Cruz, but definitely glad we got it second hand given that I mostly used the baby carrier. We did end up with a travel stroller from Baby Jogger that I got on deep discount during their Friends and Family sale (someone shared the code on Reddit). It was much better for flying and road trips than the Cruz, but you can definitely tell the difference in quality. Baby #2 is now 5 months old and we have the Uppababy Minu Duo stroller. I prefer a side by side double stroller. I still use the Cruz when I go out with just one kiddo, but that doesn't happen very often.
