Levoit - Vital 200S

All HEPA filters are disposable maintenance items, some last longer than others. For the price I'd highly recommend an MA-25 instead. I only recommend the Levoit 100 S or 200 S if you are using it *specifically* for pet hair and dander otherwise they are not that great in my opinion. I've owned 6 Levoit products and I wish I had spent the money on a different brand for 5 of them.

Hindi. Mga around 200 pesos per month yung na-add sa bill namin. 24/7 naka on, mga 1-2 hours lang kung patayin and naka high mode palagi.

How is a levoit only better for hair and dander? Hepa is hepa and vital series should be just as effective as the others. Core series is inferior.

If you get levoit gotta get the 100S or 200S 200S is better just pricer tho we had wild fire smokes for months in Ontario and I am allergic to dust the 100S served me well, I wish I had gone with 200S but was just to much at the time

To be honest I haven't gotten them Yet. They are for my parents and were supposed to be delivered today but were delayed until Thursday. I have a Winix 5500-2 in my home and love it. I also have a Levoit in my bedroom that does a great job despite the reviews.

Try mo yung levoit purifiers OP, we have allergy rhinitis at nakatulong talaga tong Levoit. 24/7 naka on. May legit sila sa shopee at lazada.

I have three Levoit 200s and a 300. Two and a half years later, they run pretty much nonstop. No issues.

I have 2 air doctors and a levoit and don't notice any difference between them. If money was no option I'd probably gonwoth Austin Air or Jaspr. If budget then Levoit or Winix from Costco. Or Costco also has a Shark with a 5 year filter.

\+1 for Levoit. Haven't had a single problem and we have 3 of them.

I think it's best to purchase both an air purifier and dehumidifier for that area where there is mold. Hopefully that will work for you. I have levoit air purifier for the bedrooms. And we had the mold experts provide us with heavy duty dehumidifiers. (No longer needed, hunting a regular one now)

There isn't anything wrong with Levoit. Lots of people use them without any issue. I am one of those people. Great machine, really makes a difference to the air quality.

No since they don't have hepa filter, the core are just reg dust with active carbon, you need ether 100s or 200s id go with 200s if you can

I think this gets overstated. The Core series pre-filter just comes with the filter. It's not much harder to vacuum those than the separate ones in the flat panel units. I say this an owner of Cores, Vitals and an EverestAir.

I personally hate the sound of Levoit devices and the cheap build quality.

I got a Coway Airmega because it was highly reviewed on the Wirecutter website after my previous Levoit broke after only a couple years and wasn't fixable (circuit board inside was fried).

I bought two Levoit Vital 200S-P's for my 1 bed apartment mainly due to smoke, incense, cooking etc from my neighbors. I know Levoit is a somewhat controversial choice but overall from my understanding, yes it's bad they lied about HEPA but apparently it's mostly a marketing term and their filters still perform about the same. It was a good price and many people on this sub do like them, so I got them. If I had more money, sure I would've splurged on something else. But I'm wondering if maybe I should've purchased a different brand, or if I'm just expecting too much. They have definitely helped, I have one placed in the living/kitchen area which is quite large so I don't expect it to fully clean that area, but it makes a difference. When our neighbors smoke, PM2.5 levels used to go up to 15-20 in there, now it's anywhere between 4-9ish, usually below 6 though. Bedroom used to hit 15 but now it hovers anywhere between 2-6, usually below 4. When they're not smoking the whole apartments sits at 0-1. Our unit is 750 sq ft, most of that is the kitchen/living area so I expect the bedroom to get the best purification. Should I be expecting it to drop to 0-1 in the bedroom or is it reasonable for it to usually be around 3-4 when they're smoking? Not trying to stress over numbers but I always notice the smell before I even check the monitor, so I'm just trying to address it the best I can. It's been better since I got the purifiers but I do still notice it. Would a Coway or some other reasonably priced unit perform better for smoke, or does it sound like my Levoits are working as intended? (edit: I also understand these units aren't going to help much with smells which is ok, mainly just wondering about particulate levels)

We don't use central air in my apartment and our purifiers have been helping a lot. We got two Levoit Vital 200s on sale on Amazon for $159 each

Same experience as you within the last month. One of the things you need to understand upfront is that there are people with deep pockets who fixate on things like this and become obsessed with finding "the best." That is something that will never happen, but in the meantime, this sub has put together a pretty stellar list of "great" filters/purifiers. Personally, I went with a Levoit Vital 200S-P. It was on the higher end of my price range at first, but I left it in my Amazon cart for later while I thought about whether I really wanted to invest in it. And then Amazon dropped the price by about $30-$35 during that time. Amazon sales tactic? Probably. But it made enough of a difference that I decided to go for it. For the last 3 days, I've been very happy.

We have that one on our main floor (1300 sq ft house) and it works great. It even helps filter while cooking. We also have the 200S in our bedroom and if memory serves me right they are fairly close in power. Both great units

Yup, I try to always keep mine at speeds 3-4, sometimes 2 when my ears or dry eyes need a break, lol. I wish there was a speed between 2 and 3 because yeah, even 2 feels pretty useless. I do like the units though and I was also thinking of getting the smoke/toxin filters so that's good to hear it's been working for you

Can you return it still? Your square footage is the max a 100s may be able to do while running full blast if you're dealing with an active smoke situation. You'd be better off with a 200S Vital. Look for something with a CADR number at least equal to your square footage. Also, if you have a central air forced HVAC, you can put a MERV 13 filter temporarily into the return and run it on fan mode only for additional filtration.

I have 2 Wyze Hepa Filters. Find them very good. They display the air quality too so you can see what they're doing! I have tried levoit. They were ok but don't live long. I think the important thing is to have an air quality monitor or the filter should display air quality

These units similar to the one I have become saturated really quick. I personally use a levoit 200s and it's awesome, but after the first week the carbon stops doing its job, but I'm okay with that, if I get cooking odors etc I'll usually just open my windows.

Look at the cost of replacement filters. I have a levoit air purifier and I find filters expensive

I bought 5 Vital (100 + 200) devices and 1 Core. The vitals barely reduced PM when I used them. I switched to Coway and Medify and had much better results.

If your home was next to other homes that burned down, then first have to access smoke damage inside. Whether it's serious enough having to tear out drywall and carpet (if have it). Or if repainting all walls will do it. Otherwise, have to deep clean the house. My dad's house was a block away from where the fire stop in November's Mountain fire. No structural or visible smoke damage inside, but the whole house smelled like a post camp fire. Me and my brother spent two full days deep cleaning. Washed all the windows and screens. Washed all bedding and clothes. Cleaned all the base boards. Washed couch cushions covers. Vacuumed the carpet and drapes multiple times. After still had a faint smell of smoke left. I bought two LEVOIT air purifiers on Amazon and were delivered even with his neighborhood having a police checkpoint. Couple days later the smell was gone. Most of the result was from deep cleaning the house though
