Buy the Coway air mega it usually goes on sale pretty often. 10/10
r/CleaningTips • Air Purifier sucking dust in my room ->I got a Coway Airmega because it was highly reviewed on the Wirecutter website after my previous Levoit broke after only a couple years and wasn't fixable (circuit board inside was fried).
r/parrots • Any recommendations for air purifiers? Ignore the mess, I'm currently in the middle of a deep clean in my room. ->The Coway Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty (or just Airmega Mighty), as per Wirecutter. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/ Wait for a sale. I got mine for £160 or so.
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendations? ->I see the Mighty recommended in multiple places and articles. Witecutter have chosen it as the best air purifier for a decade. That's not the case with the model you mention. If you're interested in that one for some reason then I would read plenty of reviews and compare it against the Mighty.
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendations? ->Coway airmega it's excellent. I have mine going 24 hours a day and it senses everything. It also filters the tiniest particles.
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendations? ->The airmega. You can buy filters specifically for dust. There's 3 different types of filters i believe you can buy, the original and two more alternatives
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendations? ->My recommendation (had three in an apartment for eight years, they didn't miss a beat) is the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty. Not cheap (~$200) but wait for a sale/coupon if you can. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/
r/AirPurifiers • Recommended purifiers for wildfire smoke? ->You're going to want a Coway. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/
r/AirPurifiers • Good AirPurifiers on Amazon to help cat/ferret smell? ->I ended up getting the mighty and it's been great! I'm not an expert but would recommend it. It has helped a lot with hayfever I think. I don't find it overly loud on setting 2 (which is what we leave it at). But yeah if you can keep the door closed I would have thought that would help a lot! I'm now looking for a bigger one for the living room downstairs. From memory I paid around £190. There are deals here and there where you can get it a bit cheaper (like £20 cheaper or so) but didn't want to wait as needed it asap. Good luck!
r/AirPurifiers • Is the Coway Airmega Mighty any good? ->Anything Coway! I have a 240 and a 1512;both are great unit the 240 is alittle better and definitely quieter.
r/AirPurifiers • Need suggestions on a purifier under $350 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

I bought two air purifiers just last week after reading this sub! Coway 150 and ap-1512HH(W), they were on sale on Amazon.ca and I read somewhere I can use the carbon pellet filter from the AP-1512HHS in the non S version. So far so good!
r/AirPurifiers • â—NEW 2025 USA Air Purifier Buying Guide (now in the subreddit's wiki)â— ->Sorry, what "air quality problems"? Can't say we've noticed any, with our 3 air purifiers running 24/7 in a one-bedroom apartment... 😉 (Both of us have pollen allergies and one of us has asthma.) That should answer your question. Seriously, buy an air purifier. Once you feel the difference you'll probably end up getting a few more. We've got two of the medium Coway models (Airmega AP-1512HH or 200M) and a smaller BlueAir. They also help with smells -- bathroom, pet, or cooking. Highly recommend the Coways because they: * Are whisper-quiet on all but the highest setting, and can auto-adjust (though we usually leave them on medium because they get loud if they kick into high). * Move a lot of air for their size * Have filters that last way longer than they're rated for (as long as you clean the prefilter) * You can turn the main light on the purifier off for use in a bedroom at night Tip: it's better to get several medium air purifiers and put one in each room or area rather than getting just one big one.
r/askTO • Had an air purifier helped with the air quality? Is it worth getting one? ->Don't waste the money on Dyson (they're heinously overpriced). Go with one of the Coway models, you'll get more airflow for your money and the filters last much longer than they're rated for. The Coway AirMega AP-1512HH and AirMega 200M are good picks (have both and like them quite a bit). The Levoit and BlueAir models are good too, but they tend to go through filters quickly and that becomes expensive fast. The prefilters on the Coway models are good at catching particles and dust before they make it to the HEPA filter and clog it, so the HEPA lasts much longer. Also, the activated carbon will absorb smells and chemicals. Also, unless you have a giant wide-open space or really big rooms, it tends to work better getting several mid-sized air purifiers vs. one extra-powerful one. More purifiers means more airflow without a lot of noise. They also do a better job covering multiple rooms, since they're less at the mercy of airflow between rooms.
r/GoodValue • Best Air Purifiers? Dyson TP09Cool or Dyson Cool PC1 or LevoitCore 300? ->Happy to help! For what it's worth, the Whirlpool suggestion seems to be a similar design to the Coway (with similar benefits). I just don't have previous experience with it, and the Coways are somewhat cheaper and come up consistently on lists of top air purifier models. Note that for many air purifiers, after 3-5 years you'll spend more on HEPA filters than you do on the purifier itself. That's why it's so valuable to have a design that reduces how often the filters need to be replaced. [Wirecutter by the way was my source on being able to run the filters much longer than they're rated for, and they did a good overall set of reviews](https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/)
r/GoodValue • Best Air Purifiers? Dyson TP09Cool or Dyson Cool PC1 or LevoitCore 300? ->I've had a coway AP-1512HH running for years now. Works really well except that the fan speed modes are super quiet, quiet and ultra loud. I also do not like the blue led but just cover it. Big plus is that I can buy filters on Amazon for cheap. It was listed as best recommended at some as far as I remember.
r/smarthome • View on Reddit →Wanted to clarify this is the Coway Airmega Mighty or Coway AP-1512HH Mighty air purifier, the same one Wirecutter has been pushing the last ten years or so, in case anyone was confused!
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →Coway AP-1512. My only complaint is that they lack a child lock button and my cats like to walk across the buttons and make changes. I'm looking into a whole home purifier for my HVAC system, though.
r/homebridge • View on Reddit →I have the Coway Airmega and an Austin bedroom machine, and they seem to be equally good. The Austin cost significantly more.
r/Allergies • View on Reddit →Agreed on coway! They have a pet filter for two of their units too, the AP-1512HH and the 200M. It specifically tackles pet odor, dander and ammonia stuff in the air from pet waste.
r/homeowners • View on Reddit →Coway Airmega AP-1512HH has been my go-to for a couple of years. It's compact, quiet, and works like a charm for medium-sized rooms (up to 361 sq. ft.). The 4-stage filtration system (pre-filter, HEPA, carbon, and ionizer) is super effective at removing dust, allergens, and odors. I love that it has an eco mode to save energy when the air quality is good. It's reliable and low-maintenance.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →I got a Coway Airmega because it was highly reviewed on the Wirecutter website after my previous Levoit broke after only a couple years and wasn't fixable (circuit board inside was fried).
r/parrots • View on Reddit →I have a coway airmega in the middle of a ~1k sq ft apartment. It frequently turns on a higher cycle after we cook on the gas stove down the hall
r/AskNYC • View on Reddit →huge fan of Coway Airmega. filters last a long time, it has a mesh prescreen you take out and clean every 3 weeks or so, and it's both quiet and has a good CADR. And it's very slim and doesn't take up much space!
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • View on Reddit →We have two Coway Airmega units, one on either side of the house. They have been on 24/7 for several years now. Maintenance and cleaning are very minimal. Cost is about $150-200, although there are larger units based on how big of an area you need to filter. We are very happy with them! Whichever purifier you choose, I highly recommend you look into one with a replaceable HEPA filter. Other filtration methods just won't give the same results.
r/homeowners • View on Reddit →We have the airmega that [looks like an iPod](https://a.co/d/8WCcJ0z) and love it. It goes on sale every once in a while, I think.

r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →Was comparing the sales and planning on getting another Coway air purifier for my house cause I loved the previous two we got. Seems like you get a better deal on cowaymega.com. Dropping this here for anyone who needs!
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →The Coway Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty (or just Airmega Mighty), as per Wirecutter. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/ Wait for a sale. I got mine for £160 or so.
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →I just recently bought 2 coway airmegas. No smell at all.
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →The Coway airmega is the best overall imo
r/AirQuality • View on Reddit →This is my recommendation. We have a couple of these running on low all the time (we live on a busy street and they're nice to have for our fire season).
r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →Anything Coway! I have a 240 and a 1512;both are great unit the 240 is alittle better and definitely quieter.
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →Winix 5500-2 or Coway Airmega ap-1512hh
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →With the Winix yes. It has a feature called Plasmawave which you can turn off. Coway doesnt have any ozone. I have an 8 month old, and the Winix hasn't bothered her at all. We keep plasmawave on all the time.
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →I bought two air purifiers just last week after reading this sub! Coway 150 and ap-1512HH(W), they were on sale on Amazon.ca and I read somewhere I can use the carbon pellet filter from the AP-1512HHS in the non S version. So far so good!
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →I love the coway too! I have the Airmega Mighty AP-1512 HH and I've been using it with the intense smoke filter
r/LosAngeles • View on Reddit →Coway Airmega 350, Winix 5500-2 and Coway Airmega 1512.
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →I have a Coway Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty that I brought to all my classrooms last year! There is definitely evidence that an air purifier can reduce illness in classrooms. And I tell my students not to come in if they're sick! I think an air purifier is a great idea and an easy way to reduce illness. Hope everything goes well for you this year.
r/Professors • View on Reddit →I saw the Coway AP-3008FH in a client's office once, it looked HUGE so I would never consider getting it for my apartment. For 1000 square foot you could go for the Coway Mighty AP-1512HH. I have two units in my apt. Or if you want something that overcovers, you could check out the 350 or 450 for a big open space.
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →Agreed! And they now offer different filters depending on what is most important to you to filter: one for smoke, one for allergens, etc.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I have the coway airmega which is the wirecutter top pick (https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/) I liked it enough to buy a second one for my home. It has been great and it does make a difference.
r/goldenretrievers • View on Reddit →firstly-whatever you want a 'purifier' to filter out has to be able to get to, into and through the device. i've yet to see a consumer level air filter that's strong enough to stir dog hair/dander up off the floor. for dust ? they all suck. i'm in colorado, very dusty area. they all suck. any good filter will clog quickly by definition. remember that ;) having said that, i use a coway 'airmega' in my bedroom and i'm fairly pleased w/ it. has a carbon pad for odors, filters out some dust, smoke, etc. they will all have yearly filter costs-generally anywhere from 50-200 bux/yr., mebbe ? none of them that i've seen are anything to sneeze at. ;-p
r/PetPeeves • View on Reddit →Have the IQ air does not catch dust or similar. I ended up buying a.Blue air that does and running both. The air quality that comes out of the IQ air is excellent, but if dust is your issue, is not gonna help. Blue air smells like plastic in comparison.. tried the Conway and there was so much plastic offgassing. I returned it..
r/AirQuality • View on Reddit →The airmega. The number one pick from wirecutter for years now.
r/AirQuality • View on Reddit →I have the Coway and had it for the last coupe of years B it I recently switched to the blueair purifier and am very happy. They also happen to look good.
r/AirQuality • View on Reddit →Anecdotally, I have two big Airmegas running in fairly small spaces and I can't tell a difference in air quality between when they've been running and when they haven't. I don't get what the point is.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I see the Mighty recommended in multiple places and articles. Witecutter have chosen it as the best air purifier for a decade. That's not the case with the model you mention. If you're interested in that one for some reason then I would read plenty of reviews and compare it against the Mighty.
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →I'm loving what I'm seeing about the coway 1512, already bought one for my bedroom. Thanks for the recommendation! For two smaller rooms would you still go for that over the coway 100? Wasn't sure if the 100 was good enough since the rooms are smaller and I failed to mention I have 2 boys in the smaller room and my daughter has used up all available space in her room so the smaller the filter the better lol. But if the carbon filter is especially better she can move some of her dolls around to make the space for the 1512. For the winix c909 is there a reason you suggest that over coway? I saw one comparison with the 5500 that said it has a better carbon filter and does better with VOCs but the c909 I've read doesn't have as good as a carbon filter and I'm having a hard time figuring out how it compares to coway
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →This is the only correct answer. Don't get air mega aim tho that's a scam
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I second Coway. I have the [Coway Airmega AP-1512HH](https://www.reddit.com/r/ApplianceAdvice/comments/1cx5tt5/best_air_purifier_to_buy/) and it is a fantastic air purifier to improve indoor air quality. It's quiet, efficient, and has a sleek design that blends seamlessly into any room.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I bought an Airmega for our bedroom a year ago. My wife says my nighttime snoring has almost completely stopped. We ended up being so happy with it we bought another for the DR/LR.
r/TwinCities • View on Reddit →Winix 5500-2 or 5510. Also Coway Airmega ap-1512hh
r/AirPurifiers • View on Reddit →We have a 2500 sq ft home so we have several air purifiers. I went off wirecutter's list and got Coway Airmega for the rooms with higher ceilings and Levoit for the kid rooms and office (where the litter box is). We have had them for a year and I'm happy with them. They've significantly cut down on daycare illness transmission within our household. Instead of all 4 of us getting sick it's 1 kid and sometimes 1 parent per illness.
