Coway airmega it's excellent. I have mine going 24 hours a day and it senses everything. It also filters the tiniest particles.

The airmega. You can buy filters specifically for dust. There's 3 different types of filters i believe you can buy, the original and two more alternatives

Yup, we splurged on a couple coway airmega 400 purifiers when we were living in Seattle and are glad we brought them with us to Minneapolis since we bought an older craftsman home without a duct AC system (which typically allow air filters). This past week would have been really rough for my asthma without air purifiers running!

Hi, I've 4 coway air purifiers at home (2 bkh). 3 cats furry cats, fabric sofas and couple of large carpets. I'm extremely sensitive with dust and I can feel it in my nose and throat even if it's very little dusty. After getting these coway air purifiers I feel sooo much better. I've used Dysons, Mi, blueair. Out of all of them I love the coways. I have a [Coway Airmega 400](https://uae.sharafdg.com/product/coway-airmega-400-air-purifier-ap-2015f/?cpn=21923874463&pl=&kw=&adg=173662259467&ch=g&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=LS_SharafDG_Std_Shopping_Bilal_18112024&utm_term=&device=m&utm_matchtype=&utm_network=g&utm_placement=&utm_content=721914495737&utm_Adposition=&utm_location=9198260&utm_Sitelink=}&utm_Audience=pla-2455809539967&utm_campaignid=21923874463&utm_adgroupid=173662259467&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkN--BhDkARIsAD_mnIr3GqdSYguutizgQurZxifbzxMiU0evhunlX8jR6u0HUgUsoYxvx3MaAvuyEALw_wcB) next to my bed. 2099 AED. The one feature I miss is WiFi connectivity/app to adjust the fan speed or check air quality. Edit: spellings. When I turn the purifier off, the indoor reading goes back up to match the balcony level. So the purifier is clearly making a big difference.

I got a Coway Airmega because it was highly reviewed on the Wirecutter website after my previous Levoit broke after only a couple years and wasn't fixable (circuit board inside was fried).

We have two Coway Airmega units, one on either side of the house. They have been on 24/7 for several years now. Maintenance and cleaning are very minimal. Cost is about $150-200, although there are larger units based on how big of an area you need to filter. We are very happy with them! Whichever purifier you choose, I highly recommend you look into one with a replaceable HEPA filter. Other filtration methods just won't give the same results.

1) Recirculating air purifiers don't need to be medical grade. CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) matters more. Example: An EPA E12 air purifier vs a HEPA H13 (True HEPA / medical grade filter) air purifier having the same CADR -> The EPA E12 is better. True HEPA is way too air restrictive and CADR already takes the filter efficiency into the equation which is why CADR > filter efficiency alone as it also accounts for the airflow within the filter. It doesn't mean that True HEPA is bad. It's just gonna usually be more noisy than an E12 for the same performance. More info on this here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/AirPurifiers/comments/1hne7sy/stop\_buying\_true\_hepa\_hepa\_h13\_air\_purifiers/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/AirPurifiers/comments/1hne7sy/stop_buying_true_hepa_hepa_h13_air_purifiers/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) 2) Air purifiers are better used in specific rooms. If you have 3 rooms then u need 3 air purifiers, one for each room. I need to know the room size in sqm/sqft and also if u have more than the normal 8ft/2.4-2.5m ceiling height. 3) You should buy a bigger air purifier than you need. The reason is since your family member has a health issue you 100% need the purifier to have AT LEAST the 4.8 ACH (Air Change per Hour), and since you might not want the air purifier to work at max speed all the time, you need to go at least 50% more if not double the power that you need. I generally recommend 50% more than what people need and let it run on low speed but in your case i recommend 2x more than what you need and run it on at least medium speed. 4) Good products that I recommend are either Philips PureProtect Series (3200 / pro 4200) or Coway Airmega 300/300s/400/400s. 5) Not related to air purifiers but look into fasting. Prolonged water fasting for at least 3 days, than refeeding with carnivore diet. Also the stem cell protection that a 3 days fast gives you on doing chemotherapy. There is more to it but here is a starter video : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wzmacu2TgFg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wzmacu2TgFg) Cancer works by feeding on the same feeding system as your body which is carbohydrates that you eat. If you switch off a carb rich diet and go carnivore diet you won't have any more external carbs (you ll feel like crap because of low glycogen stores but so will the cancer) so it will slow down the cancer's growth, since the cancer's main food source is your energy source which are the carbs. Moreover autophagy is your body natural system of getting rid of bad cells. It's a hunt for them. In a normal setting your body is just fighting bad cells. In autophagy mode your body hunts the bad cells to eat them as food. Guess what cancer is and what your body will do with it. There are plenty of cancer cases where autophagy helped. Do your research on it. Also your family member needs to have some fat/muscles to be able to do this and the refeeding needs to be aggressive to put back the lost fat and muscle during a fasting period. Salt is also required in the water but you'll learn about all of this if you do proper research. Not a medical advice since I don't know the specifics of your case but please look into it.

Hey! I've been using the Coway Airmega 400 for a year, it's totally worth it. Dust and allergy symptoms dropped fast, and the air feels fresher. I also recommend to look for HEPA filters, CADR rating, and quiet mode. Avoid those gimmicky ionizers, in my experience they don't do much.

I've got a Coway airmega in our bedroom, and a BlueAir in my office at work. I love both of them... I'm a therapist and work in an 8'x10' room talking to people for an hour 5-6 hours some days. I think the BlueAir is a big reason why I haven't picked up any of the respiratory stuff some clients have come in with (well, that + vaccines + mindful hand washing/sanitizing). It's also pretty quiet which is important to me. I'm planning on picking up another BlueAir or two for the rest of my house this spring. The pricepoint is kinder than my Coway, and it's much quieter.

We have a 2500 sq ft home so we have several air purifiers. I went off wirecutter's list and got Coway Airmega for the rooms with higher ceilings and Levoit for the kid rooms and office (where the litter box is). We have had them for a year and I'm happy with them. They've significantly cut down on daycare illness transmission within our household. Instead of all 4 of us getting sick it's 1 kid and sometimes 1 parent per illness.

I agree with others. Coway. Which model really just comes down to size of room they all use the same type of filter (though sometimes different sizes). I have a couple AirMega 300/400s because I have a big open space and they've been great. But the smaller ones are the same tech and filter type, just smaller.

Have the IQ air does not catch dust or similar. I ended up buying a.Blue air that does and running both. The air quality that comes out of the IQ air is excellent, but if dust is your issue, is not gonna help. Blue air smells like plastic in comparison.. tried the Conway and there was so much plastic offgassing. I returned it..

I've had Coway AirMegas, Winix, and Whirlpool Whispure, and Coway is by far the best home purifier in my opinion. I have an AirThings air quality monitor and a dust allergy, and these filters make a difference. You do need to clean the Coway prefilter regularly, but it's easy to do. I didn't know they sold off market filters so I'll have to look into that because the filters can be costly.

I would also say my Coway Airmega is one of the best investments I have ever made. It's amazing how much it can grab and filter out. They say the filters should last a year, but we have it constantly running in a larger room and probably change the filters every 3-6 months. Closer to 3 when we have the AC wall unit on blast thru the summer. We've also had terrible Smokey days from the Canadian wildfires in my area and when I last replaced my filter, it was almost black so it was working hard! 2 years of having it and no issues.

I got some Conway ones on sale for a main level and bedroom in my house a while back. My plan was to help alleviate dander, allergens, and fire smoke. I can't say I have any empirical evidence of their efficacy, but I'm glad I have them. If you have a couple hundred bucks and no central air, I think it's worth it.

I wish I had found this sub before purchasing my air purifiers but I did end up getting the Coway airmega 400 for my living room, coway 160 for my sons bedroom and have a few Costco winix in the other rooms. The coway sees to pick up much more dust and smells than the Winix. Currently have construction going on in our home and the coway have really picked up so much.

firstly-whatever you want a 'purifier' to filter out has to be able to get to, into and through the device. i've yet to see a consumer level air filter that's strong enough to stir dog hair/dander up off the floor. for dust ? they all suck. i'm in colorado, very dusty area. they all suck. any good filter will clog quickly by definition. remember that ;) having said that, i use a coway 'airmega' in my bedroom and i'm fairly pleased w/ it. has a carbon pad for odors, filters out some dust, smoke, etc. they will all have yearly filter costs-generally anywhere from 50-200 bux/yr., mebbe ? none of them that i've seen are anything to sneeze at. ;-p
