Buy the Coway air mega it usually goes on sale pretty often. 10/10

We have two Coway Airmega units, one on either side of the house. They have been on 24/7 for several years now. Maintenance and cleaning are very minimal. Cost is about $150-200, although there are larger units based on how big of an area you need to filter. We are very happy with them! Whichever purifier you choose, I highly recommend you look into one with a replaceable HEPA filter. Other filtration methods just won't give the same results.

I'm immunocompromised and always have an air purifier (Coway AirMega 150) running next to my lectern. It's nearly silent on the lowest setting. I also have a larger one at home (250?) that is EXTREMELY loud, so I wouldn't recommend a big one. The building I teach in is pretty modern, so I have to assume that the ventilation is quite good even though my classroom doesn't have any exterior windows. I've been told many times I'm quiet/soft spoken (despite feeling like I'm always yelling), so masking while teaching is out of the question for me. I also tell my students on the first day of class that I am immunocompromised and therefore that if I do get sick, I am likely to get very sick and be gone for several weeks (sometimes I include the fact that my body literally cannot make antibodies, which is super fun). This info seems to stick with them, as I've had many students email me to let me know they're sick and staying home because they remembered what I said. I am also pleasantly surprised that most students wear a mask for a few days when they return. I never mention masks at all and have never asked for anyone to wear them, fwiw. I also have a couple bottles of hand sanitizer in the room and use it very, very frequently (literally any time I touch a shared surface). I follow the same precautions in my office. I've had COVID three times, and two of the three times it was during the summer (I don't teach summers). The third time I'm 99% sure I got it at a concert. Your mileage may vary, but I feel like my strategies work fine for me and at the very least give me peace of mind.

Have the IQ air does not catch dust or similar. I ended up buying a.Blue air that does and running both. The air quality that comes out of the IQ air is excellent, but if dust is your issue, is not gonna help. Blue air smells like plastic in comparison.. tried the Conway and there was so much plastic offgassing. I returned it..

huge fan of Coway Airmega. filters last a long time, it has a mesh prescreen you take out and clean every 3 weeks or so, and it's both quiet and has a good CADR. And it's very slim and doesn't take up much space!

I got the Coway 150 as well. What do you think of the Green HEPA?

I have a Conway Airmega for my chicken brooder (chickens create a ton of dust as they grow, and they have to be inside for a few weeks cause they don't have feathers yet) and it really cuts down on the dust.

So after spending more time looking into purifiers I went for something else. I bought a Coway Airmega 150 (for our attic bedroom) and a Coway Airmega 300s for downstairs. Both had 20% discount on their website and The 2 devices cost me less than the Daikin . Hopefully I made a good choice 😅

Been running coway airmega 24/7 since 2018. Replace the filter every year and bob's your uncle.

I've been using this purifier since 2 years and it's amazing. I can notice the difference especially during winters. You'll need to replace the filters in about an year or so. The led will start glowing once the replacement is due.

Using a Coway Airmega 150 since 2021. No issues till now. It's not used daily but I've kept the dust filter clean and never had to bother with the carbon filter. Replacements look readily available.

Anecdotally, I have two big Airmegas running in fairly small spaces and I can't tell a difference in air quality between when they've been running and when they haven't. I don't get what the point is.

I use Coway from Amazon. So far I have the Airmega 100 for my bedroom and an Airmega 150 for the living area. Might get one more for my office at some point. ETA: I have severe allergies and migraines and I have noticed an improvement in both. I wake up with a clear nose and have had way fewer migraines.

I'd go for a Coway or a Winix. They both perform well cost/price-wise. Depending on the model, both brands have options with carbon filters (for bad smells). I own a Coway Airmega 150 and Winix Zero Pro. They've both been going strong without any issues for 4 years now.

firstly-whatever you want a 'purifier' to filter out has to be able to get to, into and through the device. i've yet to see a consumer level air filter that's strong enough to stir dog hair/dander up off the floor. for dust ? they all suck. i'm in colorado, very dusty area. they all suck. any good filter will clog quickly by definition. remember that ;) having said that, i use a coway 'airmega' in my bedroom and i'm fairly pleased w/ it. has a carbon pad for odors, filters out some dust, smoke, etc. they will all have yearly filter costs-generally anywhere from 50-200 bux/yr., mebbe ? none of them that i've seen are anything to sneeze at. ;-p

Levoit Vital 200s or Coway Airmega 150. The vital has better CADR but if you want something smaller in size the Coway is a high quality unit.

I bought an Airmega for our bedroom a year ago. My wife says my nighttime snoring has almost completely stopped. We ended up being so happy with it we bought another for the DR/LR.

I've got a Coway airmega in our bedroom, and a BlueAir in my office at work. I love both of them... I'm a therapist and work in an 8'x10' room talking to people for an hour 5-6 hours some days. I think the BlueAir is a big reason why I haven't picked up any of the respiratory stuff some clients have come in with (well, that + vaccines + mindful hand washing/sanitizing). It's also pretty quiet which is important to me. I'm planning on picking up another BlueAir or two for the rest of my house this spring. The pricepoint is kinder than my Coway, and it's much quieter.

Id say no, proprietary airfilter. I use [https://cowaymega.com/products](https://cowaymega.com/products) and get 3rd party filters to replace it. I also turned it into a fan by using plastic vacuum hose.

Coway airmega gets my vote. Got 2 on amazon since pademic and they've been pretty good by far.

We have a 2500 sq ft home so we have several air purifiers. I went off wirecutter's list and got Coway Airmega for the rooms with higher ceilings and Levoit for the kid rooms and office (where the litter box is). We have had them for a year and I'm happy with them. They've significantly cut down on daycare illness transmission within our household. Instead of all 4 of us getting sick it's 1 kid and sometimes 1 parent per illness.

I would also say my Coway Airmega is one of the best investments I have ever made. It's amazing how much it can grab and filter out. They say the filters should last a year, but we have it constantly running in a larger room and probably change the filters every 3-6 months. Closer to 3 when we have the AC wall unit on blast thru the summer. We've also had terrible Smokey days from the Canadian wildfires in my area and when I last replaced my filter, it was almost black so it was working hard! 2 years of having it and no issues.

I have the Coway and had it for the last coupe of years B it I recently switched to the blueair purifier and am very happy. They also happen to look good.

Coway Airmega; which model depends on the size of the space. Make sure it has a charcoal filter.

Coway has a better reputation than the models Costco carries. Love our Air Mega. Bought directly from Coway at a steep discount. Just have to wait for sales.
