Mine is the Instant Vortex. Slightly smaller than a standard microwave. Has two shelves. I use it for so much. Its great for chicken thighs, sausages, raw vegetables, making toast. And of course also from freezer to plate items. It heats up leftovers 10x better than a microwave. Pizza and fries especially.
r/glutenfree • Air fryer must have? ->Instant vortex plus 6qt has worked amazing for us! We’ve had it for about 2 years now with no issues at all.
r/airfryer • HELP- what is the best air fryer for a family of 4? ->I don’t know about a dream but we use the hell out of it for wings, salmon and fried Twinkie’s and it has never let us down.
r/airfryer • HELP- what is the best air fryer for a family of 4? ->Thanks for your input! We have one of those instant pot vortex air fryers, just with a different label on the front. The house we are moving into has fairly new appliances. They were bought in '22 I believe but it's just the two of us and a dog so we don't often like using the oven if we can help it. I'll take a look at the Bella air fryer! I guess air fryers themselves aren't that expensive. If I'm going to spend $500 on appliances, I might as well look at a combi oven too 😂
r/airfryer • Buying new appliances, should I get a dedicated air fryer and/or countertop oven? ->> this was a big issue when they first came out; I assume they've fixed it by now Can confirm - it had a smell the first time I ran through a 15m air fryer cycle (empty, per the quick start instructions) and I haven't smelled anything since.
r/airfryer • Air fryer is slowly dying ->Philips, Instant Pot/Vortex, and Cosori are all better than Ninja. Ninja has bad non-stack and low power.
r/airfryer • Why do you guys prefer dual air fyers? ->Ours just died after using it almost every day for two years, which is why I’m in this thread. We liked it quite a bit, but agree with Wirecutter’s criticism that the Instant Vortex’s user interface is crap - it’s just a cheap touchscreen with poor sensitivity. I’m looking at other models now - the Instant Vortex was a lovely gift but I don’t think I want to buy another.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Air Fryer to Buy Now? ->Id definitely go with the Instant vortex mini. its around $60 and is the recommended budget air fryer on wirecutter. You can find some good options [in this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/cookingforbeginners/comments/1lxgrty/best_budget_air_fryer/)
r/airfryer • Affordable Airfryer Suggestions ->Just bought this to replace my Instant Vortex. I was looking for a ceramic basket fryer and this looked to be the best one I found, especially for the price. I haven't used it enough yet to really evaluate, but so far it seems great, and also looks good on my countertop. It's very compact for it's capacity. I few things I miss from my Vortex is the shake/flip alert, which is such an easy thing to include that I don't know why all fryers don't have this. The other thing I miss from my vortex is the knob, which makes it so much faster to dial in the temp/time. I'm still debating whether I miss the window or not. It's sometimes useful, but not sure if it's really a crucial feature. But otherwise it's a great air fryer.
r/airfryer • Loving my Cosori TurboBlaze - 450F is key. ->Yo, we were in the same boat not long ago - didn’t want any of that non-stick teflon coating bs, or plastic trays that smell weird when hot. Ended up grabbing the Instant Vortex Plus (stainless steel one) and it’s been solid. Trays are full stainless, no peeling, no coating drama. Cleans easy af. It just works. Been air frying the hell outta veggies, frozen stuff, chicken thighs, all that - and it's holding up like a champ. We also looked at the Cuisinart toaster oven w/ air fryer function - pretty sure you can swap the trays for stainless if needed. That one looks more like a real oven tho, more space but also bigger footprint on the counter. My advice? Skip anything that has non-stick unless you like scraping black flakes off your food in 6 months. Ask me how I know 😅 TL;DR: – Stainless trays or bust. – Instant Vortex Plus (SS version) been goin strong. – Avoid non-stick if you wanna keep your sanity.
r/BuyItForLife • Non-toxic air fryer, recommendations? Please share your favorites ->It’s one of the better ones I’ve had outside of an original vortex when the instapot stuff was made in Canada.
r/Costco • Has anyone bought the Gourmia Air Fryer? ->If you’re cooking small meals, a single basket like the Ninja AF101 or Instant Vortex does the job well. Duals are great for variety but take more space. Go Ninja if you want durability, Instant if you want presets and ease.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →I've been using my Instant Dual Vortex multiple times a week for about three years now with no issues.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →I bought one back in July and since I unpacked it I haven’t used my oven once. There may be better ones but it’s worked well for me. I like the dial to change time and temp.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →but if you have the budget, go for the[ instant pot vortex,](https://s.shopee.ph/1g9ZVD3lY0) got a lot of features, though one problem is cleaning as well, you have to use tongs if hot to remove the draining mechanism, but this thing really removes everything with it, you dont need preheating wait, it tells you, you dont need to second guess, ive used it for a few times already and it does. I need to finihs the testing for the mosquito killers and would be doing the inductions next for that. the [Instant pot vortex ](https://s.shopee.ph/1g9ZVD3lY0)is very good, cooks well, even tells you when to flip. affiliate link posted plus picture of the unit https://preview.redd.it/k4zbaw8bfvrf1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86a4aabcfd392d9560a663b1d2aff430ea62826e
r/ShopeePH • View on Reddit →Yeah, replaced our Instant Pot Vortex with one and its been excellent, lots easier to clean too.
r/Costco • View on Reddit →America Test Kitchen made a review. They recommended the instant vortex clear 6 liter. I bought one and also recommend, but it's my first so i have no comparison.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I have it and the basket is falling apart. I use the heck out of it. Love it other than I wish the basket held up better.
r/AmericasTestKitchen • View on Reddit →I’m guessing most people buy larger air fryers given the comments. The instant mini is only 8” as well. I love it.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →There have been many posts searching for a "non-toxic" air fryer. Don't really understand it. I am extremely chemically sensitive but I have absolutely no problem with teflon coatings. Haven't seen any posts about health issues with teflon with their air fryer other than the obvious ones such as the coating failing. Top reviewed fryer is the Instant Pot Vortex Plus 6QT. It is relatively cheaply made so the LCD display is failing but I can still use it. Double baskets have limitations. The Breville oven style is a high quality expensive product but not as good at air frying.
r/AirFryers • View on Reddit →that why I like instant brand dual airfryer. you can use it as a single or dual . got plenty of surface area as a single to get stuff crispy
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →Kettle: Xiaomi We've had ours for 2 years, used everyday. No issues. Airfryer: Instantpot Vortex Used regularly for months now, works great. I like the oven style and tray vs basket style because easier to clean. I just pop the trays in a dishwasher along with the dishes. It also automatically preheats and dings to remind you the preheating is done.
r/ShopeePH • View on Reddit →Yep, I've had great luck following the instructions on food packages and can't recall ever burning anything or having bad results. I have an Instant Vortex dual basket air fryer.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →we have the ninja side by side. it works fine. you can operate both sides as one, if you want. and you can set both sides to finish at the same time if they have different settings. i don't like that you have to manually pause it if you don't want hot air just blowing out when you open a basket and it doesn't have a reminder to flip like our single basket Instant Vortex does.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →I think for that size is Oven size na, walang top brand out there na may available ng 9L at least. Ingat sa pagbili dahil baka fake/generic product mabili mo, delikado dahil appliances. You might want to consider [Instant Pot](https://s.shopee.ph/AUislZZh2b). We bought the older version ng Air Fryer nila sa Mall 3 years ago and hanggang ngayon nagagamit pa rin namin. 7.5L siya kaya spacious enough na rin for big families. r/ShopeePH • View on Reddit →I tried that one and didn't like it. Baskets are small and it's less efficient when using both baskets. I went with an Instant Dual Vortex instead, the two baskets are much bigger and running both baskets at the same time does not reduce its efficiency. I love it and use it for almost every meal I cook at home, and I think the dual basket makes it much more useful because I can cook my entree and side dish at the same time.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →Exactly $100 and 5* or more in my case . Huge capacity and easy to use https://a.co/d/3OHV3M4
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →Unfortunately, there are many recent buyers who have had terrible issues with this exact air fryer. Apparently, InstantPot was purchased by a private equity firm, so their current models are not living up to their past reputation. We actually bought that air fryer a few years ago due to an America's Test Kitchen recommendation, and it's been great. If (when) it ever dies, we won't be replacing it with another InstantPot.
r/weightwatchers • View on Reddit →The instant vortex has option turn the beep sound off
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →I like Ninja, but if you want a small one, I highly recommend Instant Pot Vortex 2-QT Mini.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →1. For basket fryers cleaning the basket is going to be the same everywhere. Remove the grill and clean both separately. The only difference is whether the basket/grill are non-stick or dishwasher safe. 2. Parchment paper defeats air flow and therefore the purpose of an air fryer. In addition for foods which give off a lot of fat, such as chicken legs, the food would be lying in a pool of fat on the parchment paper. You want the fat to drain in order to crisp the food. 3. Top reviewed is Instant Pot Vortex Plus 6QT. Not the most robust unit out there. Support and parts can be problematic. The unit will likely last as long as the non-stick coating does. Non-stick coatings or all cookware has a limited life.

r/EatCheapAndHealthy • View on Reddit →Thanks for the reply. I have an Instant Pot Vortex Plus, which is great, but I often have to stage food and keep stuff warm, so want to try a dual. Might give the Paderno a try, it has good reviews and it's $150, wife likes blue.

r/airfryer • View on Reddit →This checks out, I have a instant pot vortex, got it bc it seemed like the most highly recommended one that wasn't a dual zone or an oven style one
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →Tht's similar to the Instant Pot Vortex 2QT Mini Air Fryer I have. I use it all the time, instead of my larger Ninja, simply because I air fry very little food at a time.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →I have the 6Q and love the capacity, but they also have an 8Q option https://a.co/d/gJ5yV3V I buy oven liners and cut up one for the air fryer. https://a.co/d/0oPklUa I also sometimes use parchment, but you can't leave it inside without food
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →One piece of warning about the Ninja dual baskets is that I've read many times that when you run both baskets it takes longer to cook. I have the Instant Dual Vortex dual-basket air fryer, it does not really take any longer to cook when you're running both baskets (maybe 1 minute at most) and you can run it with just one basket in there.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →I haven’t that much Air Fryer experience but I’m very happy with the 6 qt Instant Vortex Plus. I hardly use my oven anymore.
r/AirFryers • View on Reddit →I hated my first air fryer bc of a bad design and low capacity. But I absolutely love this one https://a.co/d/5cjufk4 I use it for everything. Everything tastes better crunchy . It cooks chicken pieces very moist .
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →For durability, nothing beats a [PHilips](https://s.shopee.ph/5L2rpImD1M), Ive had mine for years now, its mechanical, so less parts for repair, but its a bit small, it can handle most things but unlike the digital, you are doing guess work regarding when to place the food as preheating is done, i do 3 minutes with mine, regarding cleaning,. its easier than most, you press a button and the tray seperates, kahit yn iba mahal, it wont do that. but may trade offs din isa pa yn size nya. but regardings longevity, Philips is great. we are using [midea ](https://s.shopee.ph/50Q1QfEgTp)din, its not bad, good size, good looks and mech din, its another option but it wont remove tray as easily as the Philips. affiliate link posted plus pictures of the unit https://preview.redd.it/xos1b4ef8vrf1.png?width=2019&format=png&auto=webp&s=f5132d1045efa9f213c3e0beb05233934399abd6
r/ShopeePH • View on Reddit →I have the Instant Vortex Plus. It's the most used item in my kitchen, bar none.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →My plus has been running great for over a year now
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →for ease of cleanup, I’d say go with the ones with a basket, not the ones that double as ovens. The basket can be taken out and washed. The oven style don’t work as well for air frying and are hard to clean. We got an Instant Pot Vortex Plus and loved it. we found that we could cook so many things and started cooking rather than going out to eat because it was so much faster. Eventually that one had to be replaced when the display failed but we definitely got our $125.00 worth out of it. We replaced it with a Ninja Crispi Pro and it has been good too. We like that it has a glass basket. That is easy to clean and doesn’t have the non-stick coating that might be of concern for some.
r/AirFryers • View on Reddit →I purchased the same Vortex Plus with front window from a thrift store with the "Close Basket" error. The only solution for me was to open the unit and replace the micro switch. When you close the door, a cone shaped extension, visible on the top front center housing, gets pushed up to the micro switch. If the micro switch is faulty, you'll always get the "Close Basket" error. This used unit has been working for close to 2 years.
r/airfryer • View on Reddit →Not been my experience. My Instant Dual Vortex has been going strong for 3 years and does a great job, I've have zero complaints about it and my food comes out nice and crispy.

I have not had this experience. I started with a ninja basket type. When I was looking for a bigger one, but similar style I got the instapot vortex (no window) and find the performance of both basically the same. Used each for over a year, so it’s not a one-off experience.
