Gourmia - Air Fryer Oven Series

It’s great. Can put two things in at once one different levels.

I bought one when it was on sale for $40 because I had a terrible little 1.5qt capacity one. It's been amazing for everything I've needed it for, mostly frozen foods and a few fresh items here and there.

I bought one after checking out the toaster oven style at Costco. It’s great, pretty basic, but easy to clean and use. I’m amazed at how quickly it can roast potatoes anything i put in it. I found mine for $40 and I’m very happy with it

I've got the Gourmia XL French Door fryer and we have used it multiple times a day since we got it last summer

If you’re asking if you need to get another air fryer, the answer is likely yes. We have 2, the same single basket Gourmia you were referring to, and an oven style one as well. We use them for different things, but I’m definitely happy we have both.

We like it. It's not as good as the ninja air fryer we have but does 90% of the job and the space is nice. The doors get hot AF and will 3rd degree burn you though.

I bought this one for the same reason. Looking for nontoxic air fryer to replace our oven as my husband has not once remembered to turn off the oven in the time I’ve known him. Bought this over the ourplace one because it seemed bigger. The two door design is AWFUL! Both doors open at the same time and they swing out all the way to the sides, not just enough to get the tray out. Also the glass doors led to very uneven cooking because so much heat escapes. I hate this air fryer but it works so can’t justify buying another. Not that u need to know all this but someone has to be the receptacle for my hate

we use our "french door" gourmia wayyy more than our huge oven that runs 220v? I wanna say it is....and heats up the whole house. Our air fryer we keep out on our porch so it doesn't heat up the house crazy during the heat wave. we love it. Just gotta realize, an air fryer is merely a convection oven. an oven with a fan in the back/side LOL. These "induction ovens" used to be popular in the 70s and 80s dad was saying........they were just stupid heavy cause of the heavy fan in the back of the oven to circulate the oven heat. now the ovens fit on the counter top lol. we love ours, we've ditched our countertop toaster too....and it sits in the old spot of our old 4 slice toaster.

I did and had to return it. After six weeks, the nonstick coating had mostly peeled off off

I LOVE this machine. I lived in a place with a pretty underwhelming “big” oven and this had enough capacity to make a whole baked dinner for 2 people (4 portions total). The model we have includes the temperature probe and the few times I’ve used it worked great. My biggest complain is that it is kind of hard to clean the grease splatters off the doors. That might just be a me problem and maybe I need to try a harsher chemical than just dish soap+scrubbing.

We just got this one a few months ago as a replacement for a previous model. So far zero complaints, easy to clean.

Literally just bought this two days ago but have used it about 5 times already. Seems extremely convenient and is pretty user friendly. Also saw many positive reviews online so I’m excited to have it be a kitchen staple. It is massive though, so will take up a lot of counter space.

We've had one for 3 years. No issues. Just don't overfill the mesh tray and you're good to go.

I cook thawed wing drums and blades. I dry them off with paper towels, as much as I can. I put them in a bowl and drizzle a little olive oil or avocado oil on them and toss so they all get a little on them. I lightly season with any or all of the following: Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Seasoned Salt, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper Powder. Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning, Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning, Lemon Pepper, and/or some homemade fajita seasoning. I do not flour or cornstarch them. I put a parchment liner in the bottom of the pan, on top of the black grate. I turn on the air fryer and set it to 400 degrees, preheat on, and I do 10 thawed wing (usually 5 drums and 5 blades) pieces, for 14 minutes....flipping the wings at 7 minutes. When they are done, I usually splash on some Frank's red hot sauce. I don't like dripping wet wings so I use the hot sauce sparingly and a little goes a long way. Sometimes, at the 7 min halfway mark, I will apply a light coating of BBQ sauce...then flip them. When I do this I don't use the Frank's. Experiment with different spices and seasonings.

Yeah, these "french door" toaster oven designs are not energy efficient at all. I have OP's model and it heats up the whole floor of the apartment when used.

We've had it for about 4 years. We love it. I even bake sourdough bread in a Dutch oven in it. It will toast bread and bagels, but we still use a toaster for that because it's a lot faster. Someone mentioned cleaning the inside of the glass doors. We use Easy Off - yellow cap and then wipe down with a wet cloth.

Might I suggest you put away other appliances? You don't need a toaster anymore if you have a toaster oven/airfry/broiler combo. A good kitchen aid toaster oven/airfry hybrid makes it just as fast and way more slices! Do you have a microwave on the counter?.. I put mine on top of my refrigerator, and use the toaster oven for almost everything instead. Could you put the toaster oven on a cart or moveable "island" ? I live in a small weekly rental (think a cross between a studio apartment, and a hotel room) I've lived in ones like it for 4 years and had to be very creative. here's two budget options that only take up 17.5 inches in width of counter space. We just cleaned the glass doors on ours with Easy Off - yellow cap. Afterwards we wiped it down with a wet cloth.

we have it, great for a smaller form factor air fryer, great especially if it's on sale

We bought one in November. They were on sale for $39.00 or $44.00 - can't remember. We use it for chicken wings, steaks, reheating/re-crisping leftovers. It's our first air fryer...don't know how we went so long without one. I'd recommend it.

The only reason why I dont like it is as it gets dirty, you can see the grease on the little window and it’s very hard to clean it off.

I have a Gourmia I got at Costco for about a hundred bucks on sale. It's been doing a very good job for a couple of years now. I've found that if I place a spatter guard/screen over things that do spatter it prevents the spray from getting on the interior. It's important to clean away anything that does get on interior surfaces before using the oven again or it becomes permanent. I picked up a spatter guard for a frying pan from Walmart and cut the handle off so it would fit inside.

They're ok, I had to end up returning my last one because it shit out after 6 months. I switched to the Ninja and it has been 10000x better and easier to clean.

I forgot what exactly I didn’t like about it, but I returned it and ended up getting a Bella Pro series (9 qt) which I like a lot. yes! I feel the air fryer is a lot more "safe" than dealing with a "toaster" ........that literally only has 1 purpose...."to toast" lol.......my air fryer can bake, toast, make popcorn (the screened bottom flips upside down and the 🌽 lays on the solid metal "baking pan"? I think is what my Gourmia calls it. we love ours. I've even dehydrated various meats overnight in it too. so many "appliances" in 1

Toaster oven/air fryer like the Gourmia. I don’t even use my oven even more. I have baked bread, dehydrated fruit, and made yogurt in addition to using it to roast potato’s and chickpeas. I have an instant pot too that I primarily use to make the chickpeas I then air fry.

I have this air fryer from a previous sale, and its the best air fryer I have ever used, and I have been through a few. The menu is nice, the touch for the touch screen isn't cheap and the space inside is great for its size. I use it a ton for roasting peppers along with daily for everything else. 10/10

This does not do a good job toasting bread. The ninja flip up one I had before was better. When this one breaks I'm getting another ninja so I can also toast bread.

I don't know. I don't have a toaster oven or a convection oven. The Gourmia will Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate, Broil

It's great and replaced one from Best Buy that got recalled. I too got it on sale for $39.99. eat to use, play big.

Take forever to heat up

I like it but it gets hotter than my Ninja so it took a little getting used to.

Forgot to add that I did a little monitoring with the temperature probe on mine and discovered that the preheat cycle would end before actually reaching the temperature selected, by about 30-50 degrees depending on the target temp. It would then hit the proper temp fairly quickly but I'm sure that's part of the reason for the results I'm seeing.

Not bad for the price. Works well. Only real downside is lack of removable basket, my old one had one and made things easier.

The experience with my Gourmia compared to the basket style fryer it replace has been if I set the temp 5-10 degrees higher and give it a couple minutes longer the results are satisfactory though not quite as "fried", if that makes sense.

Use it every day. They go on sale for $40 every few months.

Totally. We're at the mercy of whoever is answering the email. Seems like they could change their mind every other day lol.  I was also looking at a gourmia fryer, and the rep told me, ' Toaster Oven Fryers are BPA, PTFE, PFOA, PFAs and LEAD Free.  The interior walls are anodized aluminum,  The baking pan and crumb tray are  aluminum.   The fry basket and oven rack are stainless.  There is no NON STICK coating in this unit.' So maybe that's one you could try. My husband found an old style Convection oven at his mom's house so imma try that first before I spend any additional money. 

Own it. Love it. Buy it. You won’t be disappointed and it’ll change your life for the better

I have had this Gourmia for a few years now. Usually use it twice a day so its proven to be durable. Takes a little longer to get the same results as a basket style fryer but it's so much more versatile.

I bought it and I’m probably in the minority but I can’t stand it and had to stop using it. The button sounds are so effing loud. The fan that circulates the air is so ridiculous it sounds like an airplane is idling inside my house, and it literally changes the air pressure in my kitchen and hurts my ears (so technically, yeah it works great.)
