I just got the ninja dual zone air fryer whilst it was cheap on amazon, really impressed with it, great for speed and doing the kids dinners quick after school, not had it long and im doing a roast dinner tomorrow, not even going to attempt it all in the air fryer, going to stick with my oven for that

So I have two air fryers. Both are ninjas. One is single and one is dual. I do agree the single is better. It's really convenient to have three air fryers when making something like air fryer chicken, roasted veggies & fresh french fries. I can make all three at the same time and eat at the same time. Super convenient. Also if making wontons and spring rolls. I have a pretty busy job, a young child & a husband who doesn't cook. So for me worth it to have all. I also have enough space in my kitchen.

Yup I did a post on mine several months ago. Definitely takes more time when cooking with both sides and it can be hard to figure out timing. I wish I stuck with my single one.

I just mean in the sense that it cooks a lot slower using both sides vs one so have to figure out timing for stuff to be done. It isn't the usual times I would set when using just one side. Apparently this is an issue in the US due to voltage from what I was told numerous times on my last post. Just wish I knew before I got it. If you're in the US and this one takes just as long when you use both sides, you're lucky I guess. 🤷♀️ i have much longer cook times using both sides than I do with one, or with my one basket ninja I used to have.

Double basket ninja. It's the best I've ever owned. Do not go for the cheap recommendations, I used to have a cheap gournia and another cheap brand (both were ~50 bucks), not very consistent, didn't cook all parts at same speed, etc. I love to cook everything in my ninja, lately I've been into cooking frozen steaks, better than sous vide etc and much easier and leave the best crust

I'd recommend the Ninja Dual Foodie, it has two drawers so you can only use one drawer for a small amount, or both for larger or different things.

Have a Pampered Chef and a Ninja dual , the ninja is useful for cooking two different things but the Pampered Chef just outperforms the ninja in every way! We use it 3-4 times a week and have had it for 5-6 years.

Bought the ninja 13-in-1 flip toaster oven second hand for $100 and it had replaced my microwave and dual tray ninja air fryer almost entirely. Actually, I haven't used the air fryer since I bought it, which was four month ago. The microwave I use to reheat leftovers, like soup, mash potatoes, that won't reheat well in the toaster. It has also pretty much replaced my conventional oven except for when I'm doing big batches or baking something that won't fit, like a cheesecake.

This model of ninja is inherently flawed as an airfyer and the heating element is at the back. Reviews show it can lead to uneven cooking. If you have the space opt for the side-by-side ninja dual basket one, it goes up to 240C as well.

If you tell it to have 375 in one side and 350 in the other they'll actually be about 335 and 310. It can't output enough heat.

Wait for Black Friday, Ninja and Instant dual-baskets usually get solid discounts. If you need one now: Ninja Dual Zone is the go-to, Xiaomi dual basket is the budget pick.

I didn't buy it. Had a Kmart one which had teflon that peeled off into my fish when I cooked it (like peeled off the metal and onto the fish skin) ugh talk about eating forever chemicals! Replaced with a Ninja dual one which is at least looks and feels like it was made in a factory run by people with some self respect (coating appears solid and not like it was sprayed on with a can of spray paint). Still thinking about going all SS though if a good option turns up. The UB looks a bit odd, I worry the rotating mechanism could be a failure point and sometimes I really don't want things to rotate and fall over (like cooking a delicate slab of fish).

We had a toaster oven style and it wasn't much better than a toaster oven. Nothing actually got crispy, I don't think the air moves as much as a basket style. Have since replaced it with the 2-basket ninja and probably use it for 80% of our meals, it is great

I was cynical that I would get the use out of it, well it turns out I use it everyday and my cooker is redundant. I've got the dual ninja one so you can cook two things at once. It fits a medium whole chicken, is great for stir fries and I do pasta bakes straight in the drawer.

I have loved my ninja foodi fiercely for the last 4 years. We had to replace it and got a dual basket one and omg. We have been eating soggy mush for years. It's so much faster, stuff is CRISPY. I Couldn't agree more, go simple.

Ditto, although I have the copper coloured one which (angrily) isn't the same shade of copper as it is on my ninja kettle. I never dishwasher mine. Just stand for a while after use with hot water and a squirt of fairy liquid in it.

Mine works great! I have to lower a lot of my temps or reduce cooking time comparatively to my oven, so 400 is more than enough for everything I've done. I like that I can have two completely separate temperatures going in each side for different cooking needs. I generally am only cooking for myself, and it works great for my needs! Won it from work for free too, so it's even better!

My first attempt yes I just did what I would have done if they were alone. Tried later adding time and found it really cumbersome to get right. It just doesn't get nearly as hot when splitting between both baskets

I tried that one and didn't like it. Baskets are small and it's less efficient when using both baskets. I went with an Instant Dual Vortex instead, the two baskets are much bigger and running both baskets at the same time does not reduce its efficiency. I love it and use it for almost every meal I cook at home, and I think the dual basket makes it much more useful because I can cook my entree and side dish at the same time.

Seconding Ninja. I've had the double basket for years now and it works flawlessly after running it at least four times a week. Before I had that I had a Kitchen Aid convection toaster oven that failed and caught fire internally. Ninja is my go to brand now. I got their blender-food processor combo about a year ago and (despite sounding like a jet taking off) it's the best blender I've ever owned. It laughs at crushing a full pitcher of ice.

we have the ninja side by side. it works fine. you can operate both sides as one, if you want. and you can set both sides to finish at the same time if they have different settings. i don't like that you have to manually pause it if you don't want hot air just blowing out when you open a basket and it doesn't have a reminder to flip like our single basket Instant Vortex does.

I think it depends on the appliance. some toaster ovens have airfryer qualities and are big enough to roast a chicken. the air fryer i have is a ninja foodi dual basket, so it has two separate baskets that I can cook at different or at same times. it has an airfry setting, a roast setting, a reheat setting, and a dehydrate setting. its my favorite appliance in the whole house! I use the reheat setting for reheating things like fish or steak, and I've been using the dehydrator setting a lot lately to make jerky and dog treats. I don't really use the roast setting since it's just an airfry setting that just isn't as strong in crisping things. I have the 8qt size and while the appliance is really big, the baskets aren't all that big, but it's enough for me and my husband. for a family I would definitely get the biggest size, which i think is 10qt I've grown up with a toaster oven before with just the basic function (and not very big) and all we used it for was honestly just to reheat pizza slices lol. I'm sure there might be really cool ones out there now but I think a really good airfryer with all the bells and whistles is much more worth it. it makes cooking so much easier with a lot less mess making too.

I got the ninja crispi last year while I was mobilized with the military and living in a hotel. It has been my favorite air fryer so far. Ive had a double basket ninja foodi and still have a ninja 10 in 1. The crispi makes great chicken wings, fajitas, and does all the normal air frying better than any of those others in my opinion. It definitely gets everything crispier.

I got the Ninja one that has 2 baskets. I thought I'd love it because you could use one basket at a time but honestly I hate it. Each basket is too small. No matter what you get, get a larger cooking area.

We have the dual zone. Happy with the cooking, but be gentle - if you bang the baskets around, the handles can crack. Four stars for that; not quite as sturdy as this house with a 5 year old would like.

Air fryer is great. I have one of the double basket models and have been using it regularly for at least 4 years now. Blender sucks. I've never used a ninja blender that wasn't total shit. Try to find a used vitamix or blendtec blender, even one with 1/10th of its life left is still better than a brand new ninja blender.

Yup, I have the same one. I use it every day and it is extremely easy to clean. However I dont use the inserts that came with it. Those werent the easiest to clean. I use a grill rack instead. So Im just cleaning the basket which is teflon coated and the grill rack which is stainless steel. It cooks really quick and unless youre flipping something its set it and forget it.

I have both and use them for different things. Messy foods like chicken, etc go in the basket fryer (Ninja Dual) but things I prefer to "bake" or make larger quantities of, go in the oven; my model has a basket tray which allows for good air circulation.

I've used that ninja dual in a rental I had for a few months, I wasn't a fan of how it cooked compared to my ninja combi. I really missed the combi meal function where you can just put rice, meat, and veg in it and hit go and have dinner in 20 minutes without much effort. The rice it makes is not as good as a rice cooker, but not bad. And I missed the combo of steam, convection, and broil cooking for making perfectly cooked salmon with basically no effort too.
