[Youtube referentie](https://youtube.com/@blogisodespresents?feature=shared)
r/motorfietsen • Beste camera's voor filmen op de motor ->Despite some popular opinions on here. I really like my GoPro Hero 10 Black. Being new to scuba, focus on the diving and less on the camera. It can easily distract you from buoyancy, safety, your group, etc. Not speaking from a high horse here as I'm also fairly new. And I've caught myself being distracted by it. I now carry it to capture the really amazing stuff and less about trying to be a insta-scuba-hoe. (I'm a fat white guy, so no hopes there)
r/scuba • Best budget camera? ->As others said any GoPro from 11-13 (I would even say starting with Gpro 9) would work. I would also recommend the gorpox Max (360) great for something like shark cage where you can re-fesme the video later....just keep in mind 360 is a pia dealing with file sizes and whatever you do don't scratch the lenses
r/gopro • Action camera for travel ->similar story, I used all gopros from 6 to 12, but switched over to Osmo Action about a year ago and my life just changed. Refreshing to see that action camera can actually be reliable and not crash and overheat all the time, better battery life, faster UI, better quick release system. These are just some of the reasons to switch.
r/gopro • GoPro Hero 13 vs. DJI Action 5 Pro - Is GoPro Still King for Adventure Filming? ->I would avoid GoPro Hero 10 or beyond. Those are the only Hero cameras I have experience with and they're a huge PITA especially for motorcycling. It either doesn't turn on, doesn't record, or records with no audio ALL THE TIME. If you happen to notice it's not turning on, then you get to pull over, take your helmet off, unmount the camera, and fiddle with it until you figure out what's not working. Usually requiring you to remove and reinsert the battery. It's the most frustrating thing ever on a bike and I'd argue dangerous since you're preoccupied with the camera instead of your ride. I tried working with a Hero 10 and 11 for over 2 years before I swore them off forever. I recently switched to Insta360 and couldn't be happier. The Insta has literally not one time malfunctioned or not recorded when I pressed the button. I also have an old DJI Osmo Action that never had reliability issues. I would say any Osmo Action gen or the previous gen Insta360 (R One or something like that I cant' remember the name) would do the job well. If part of its job is dashcam you might also consider a 360 camera. You'll have way butter luck catching incidents with it than a regular action cam. I also have a GoPro 360 MAX camera. Unlike the Hero cameras, it's been great. It's still glitchy at times but nowhere near the regularity of the Hero cameras. It's kind long in the tooth now too so you may be able to find them on a good deal somewhere.
r/motorcyclegear • What camera is best for recording riding. ->It's simple to me. GoPro Hero cameras are a huge PITA to use. They're horribly unreliable and nowadays DJI/Insta look just as good. It's been like this since at least Hero 10. They have done nothing to fix the Hero line and continue to push out a new model every year. It's corporate greed and it's killing the company. I've spent a lot of money on GoPro gear only to be burned by them over and over again. I go out of my way to recommend against GoPro any time some asks. I will give credit where it's due though. The MAX 360 has been a great camera for me. I don't have any of the issues that are so abundant on Hero cameras. It's the only GoPro product I've had a good experience with but I still can't recommend it because of the culture at GoPro. I know if anything comes up that requires them to lift a finger to fix, it will remain broken forever while they work on the next yearly model release.
r/MTB • Is GoPro dying? ->I have the GoPro 10 and I really like it for snorkeling and freediving but it has many flaws that the GoPro 13 still has: - The battery lasts half as long as the competition - If it gets hot it turns off and heats up very easily - The app is garbage, I have been paying 50 euros a year since I bought it just for the cloud storage but it is very slow to upload and download files or simply view them even if you are connected to the router by cable. - The competition uses some improvements like automatic color correction with AI (insta360) which really works amazing for diving videos - Automatic GoPro videos are simply taking random pieces of several clicks and putting meaningless music on them - They don't pay attention to the forum or anything you tell them to improve, m. The heating problems have been going on since the first GoPro and something as simple as letting you choose the cover of a video by choosing a frame from the video itself does not let you do it. Anyway, you send them ideas to improve and they don't respond. Honestly, in a few years I will change cameras and go to the competition if GoPro doesn't improve and it doesn't look like it will do so.
r/gopro • Why so much Hate for GoPro now? ->I use a GoPro 10 camera and a DJI Osmo Action 4. Both have good stabilization, and the 4K 60fps footage is incredible. You can see the results on my YouTube channel. [https://youtube.com/@alaingsadventure?si=wGhYaHDucA12cWZG](https://youtube.com/@alaingsadventure?si=wGhYaHDucA12cWZG)
r/motorcyclegear • Motorcycle camera without extra features? ->I have a GoPro 10 and I recently bought a DJI Osmo Action 4, and frankly, the image quality of the Action 4 is superior, even with the same 4K 60fps settings. Not to mention how easy it is to add wireless microphones!
r/gopro • Is the go pro hero 10 better than the duo action 3 ->The 9 was packed with more features than previous cameras, but was still using the old GP1 processor, which means the UI and UX can be somewhat sluggish, and performance sufffers as a result. The Hero 10 is essentially a Hero 9, just using the faster and more efficient GP2 processor.
r/gopro • GoPro Hero Black 9 - worth it still? ->Yeah it is overkill. Overkill in both price and features because though they're great as action cameras, you don't need the stabilization, high frame rates, and rugged design for your casual travel videos mate. If you really want one, you can get an older GoPro (Hero 9, 10, or 11) if you find a good deal since they still have solid stabilization and decent built-in mics (still relatively heavy when clipped to a cap, and after 30 minutes, you might feel the strain honestly) I'd suggest you check on the Insta360 GO 3, it's tiny, weighs only 35g, and comes with a magnetic clip that can be attached to a cap more comfortably than a bulky GoPro. Otherwise, you could also check on the DJI Osmo Action 4 or Akaso Brave 7 LE too, all decent prices for your use case. You could try [10 Best Action Cameras to Invest in 2025: Full Guide and Review](https://alaskanarrows.com/10-best-action-cameras-to-invest-in-2025/) for other options too. Tldr: GoPro overkill, Insta360 more appropriate, can consider getting an older GoPro like the 9,10 or 11 if you can get a good price
r/gopro • I would like to buy an action camera, to clip it onto my baseballcap cuz I'll travel a lot and want video footage for my family. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

I'd get a GoPro and underwater housing long before I bring my phone under with me. I thought about buying a case like divevolk for when I'm hanging out on decompression stops (long boring stops underwater after deep diving) to read and watch movies but my practical consideration is that I need to have my phone on the surface because my family needs to hear from me and what if there was an emergency or something happened that I needed a phone, but my phone was dropped or flooded because of a case failure I'd be very upset.. I think my solution will be to get used phone from eBay that I don't activate a cellular plan for but use it for it's native functions like the camera, and bring that underwater with me. But a GoPro underwater if you drop it you haven't lost all your photos, contacts, text history and so on so forth Edit: get a GoPro Hero 10, 11 or 12 (better price, and they don't over heat as much as the new ones under water) with a dive housing
r/scuba • View on Reddit →So i use my GoPro Hero 10, and have an external battery pack, and then i just use an waterproof case, cause their pretty good
r/airsoft • View on Reddit →For me GoPro always had the best mic/audio balance. insta always sounded baseless and sucked at eliminating wind noise as well
r/Cameras • View on Reddit →Wannabe, limited-audience YouTuber here I've been having fun trying to put together vacation, hiking, beach videos to keep memories and share them with friends and family. I've been trying to keep my budget small, and gear light, since I'm not a professional - at least until I learn enough so that I can do some of it professionally or that I find that my gear is limiting me significantly. (I'm a middle-aged man who already has a career in IT). That being said, you could most definitely get away with just an OP3 for video and a smartphone w possibly a good phone camera for stills (especially for vlogging). It all depends on what type of footage you take. I'm no cinematographer (as evidenced by the amount of useless footage I create) but for travel/adventure I would also include one, possibly two, action cams. There's a couple of reasons for this: First, while the OP3 is small, light, and does well in low light, I find to truly put an engaging video together that is more than just dialogue, it takes knowledge, experience, and sometimes luck, to get great clips - often requiring staging of a scene or subjects and planning out shots. Second, the OP3 isn't weather resistant or rugged at all without adding bulky cases that negate its small firm-factor. Action cams have the advantage of being rugged even though their low light stabilization sucks. they also have the advantage of replaceable batteries that you can swap out on the fly when filming for long periods of time without worrying about constantly keeping the charge on the OP3 up. Sometimes it's much faster and easier to slap my GoPro on a pole (to get both me and the background) and film myself than to really setup the shot with the OP3. I have a GoPro10 and an Insta360X3 that I'm pretty happy with for certain well-lit situations. I use the GoPro often for when I want something quick and simple, or doing something very active where the camera needs to be mounted someplace in motion. I very often have it clipped to my backpack strap while on vacation and it's especially good for capturing background footage while being MUCH more discreet than a mounted OP3. The Insta360 is the opposite of the OP3 really. It's best use is when you're filming things at least 4 feet away from you (for 360 video stitching) and you don't have to really setup your shot at all as the camera catches EVERYTHING at once. The studio software is pretty great for dynamically reframing the 360 video and flattening it out before using in a standard editor. Every good capture I get with the X3 usually results in two videos - one, a video clip of my target (which could include tracking or just keyframing different things) and two, a selfie video/audio track of my reactions dialogues, etc. The X3 is great because you don't have to setup the shot and you can do everything else in post. ... but it's very noticeable when you use it and often gets stares from bystanders. One other thing I've noticed is that many attractions no longer want people filming and being a distraction/disruption to others - more and more places I've noticed now ban photography with selfie/telescoping sticks... which of course is pretty much the best way to use a 360 camera. Whoa that was long. Hopefully some of that was useful.
r/osmopocket • View on Reddit →I also don't get the hate, I recorded around 1TB of video with my GoPro and didn't have any issues, sure normal batteries are bad in the cold, but enduro batteries solve that. My Hero 10 overheated only once and I had it recording for like 20 minutes in like 40°C weather. Yeah they are greedy, they don't add almost anything new, but you don't have to buy the latest camera every year. I have a friend that uses Hero 5 and Hero 9 for years and he isn't planning on buying a new one, he also doesn't have issues with overheating and he is using them for POVs when he is flying and trust me the cockpit gets unbearably hot in the summer.

r/motorcyclegear • View on Reddit →Unpopular opinion maybe, but gopro puts out great quality underwater footage. It depends what you're using it for and what you want to film though. I'd encourage you to go look up recent gopro 4k underwater footage and you'd be surprised how crisp and sharp the images are, even without additional lights or gear. If you're looking for close up macro shots it's not the best (although it can still take great stills or you can also simply extract a still from 4k footage). I can't count the number of times I've seen people commenting on amazing shots here and asking what camera was used, only to be surprised that it was actually just a still frame from a gopro video. Is it the best for making professional quality prints or video? Probably not. Does it put out great quality non-professional video for a vacation diver? Absolutely. If you're okay with the quality of iphone videos, you'll likely be okay with the quality of gopro videos. The most important thing if you're filming video is image stabilization, which gopro is best of class at for non-professionals. There's nothing worse than shaky cam footage underwater and it's really good at producing smooth footage even for beginners. If you want to up your gopro game, you can still do it on a budget by adding a good tray (don't buy a handle) and two lights. I use a backscatter tray with 2x Orcatorch D710Vs. It's very decent and hard to beat at the price range. Sky's the limit on price if you want to look at more premium options. The best part is that I can fit it all in a regular sized backpack, which is something you can't do with nearly any other underwater camera options. I'm, also not worried about it getting banged around as they're built like tanks. Lastly there's a huge market of used gopros too if you really want to buy something on a budget.
r/scubadiving • View on Reddit →I have 2 GP10's I use for scuba diving. I never upgraded to the newer models because they don't offer much improvement to image quality. A friend of mine uses a GP13 and can't tell the difference. My 2-cent opinion.
r/underwaterphotography • View on Reddit →A used Go Pro Hero 9 or 10 (which is probs around 350AUD ish) with your budget! If you can afford a media mod slap one on! ** Im assuming youve got a SD card to go with it??
r/gopro • View on Reddit →Get whichever Go Pro is in your price range. Anything Hero 7 and above will have hypersmooth and as long as you're not running it at max resolution and fps it shouldn't overheat, especially with a fan or AC on in the car. 30 fps would be my recommendation, and most should be able to handle that at 4K just fine.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →>How are they at long term? These are entry-level action cams from generic brands (imported from China and stamped logo) so we cannot expect long term durability. I have done plenty of research on budget cameras upto 12k but I ended up getting Gopro Hero 10 from US through a friend (Cost me 14k on KEH store) because I wanted super-wide lens for moto logging. Two models I said above are good at 6k price point and if you can spend little more then Sjcam SJ6 Legend or IZI One Plus. Sjcam makes good quality products but they are selling outdated models here. >And I found some more cameras like these, are they also good enough? https://amzn.in/d/3Q2QCGV This is more suitable for handheld vlogs and bicycle as shown in pictures but it might be odd when mounted to helmet. Also it has fixed battery and no stabilization (c100+ does).
r/indianbikes • View on Reddit →Honestly I'll still buy one, bc it seems like they have the best image, but I seriously babied my GoPro 10 and I left it in my suitcase for one flight instead of having it in my carry on, in a soft case, and when I got home, the screen was cracked. Like supposedly these are tough and durable, but my screen cracked from being in a hardshell suitcase and presumably having other luggage piled on top of it. I'm still salty about that.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →Been using a GP Hero10 for 2 years and haven't really had any issues so long as its in the dive housing. Color gets a bit distorted sometimes but general use and image stabilization has had some great shots. I usually just shoot a few seconds of video and snip a still out of it if I want a still shot.

r/gopro • View on Reddit →Gopro 10 and 12 owner here, If you wants to Moto Vlog, then Insta360 ace pro2, would be the best. I wish Gopro will shamelessly copy Insta 360 Ace Pro2, as its just too good.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →I would go for a GoPro that has the Hindsight feature (GoPro 9 -13) as this allows you to grab footage of a catch without having to be recording continuously your whole time on the water
r/gopro • View on Reddit →Just checked and I had the go pro 10. Does that make a difference ? The footage ( mostly outdoor nature) was amazing. And when compared to dji action, go pro 5k features seems way ahead. Why is that
r/dji • View on Reddit →I have a GoPro Hero 10, and I'm quite satisfied with it. I would recommend the DJI Osmo Action 4, that's also a good cam, with reasonable price tag.
r/Karting • View on Reddit →I'm a gear head, I own a ton of camera equipment. You don't need the latest to document you trips. I'm still using an older GoPro hero 9 and it takes fantastic 4k 60FPS video. Look into the older generations. The processing power jumped between the 9 and 10th generation GoPro. Recommendation **If you can find a GoPro hero 10 that would be the best value.** The hero12 didn't have gps, so I'd avoid that generation if that feature is important to you. *Go pro alternatives:* I own a insta360 go3s. It's great for POV, ultra small. I clip it to my hat. Max resolution is 4k 30FPS. If you're going to do fast paced activities like racing you may find the framerate at the max resolution to be too slow. Insta360 X5 is a 360 camera. Theres a learning curve to the software. But provides the ability to reframe footage. Quality of the video will not be as good as a standard action camera. DJI osmo action, it's a solid choice as well. Bit rate is lower then a GoPro, but if you're not a professional you won't know the difference
r/hiking • View on Reddit →1:1 ratio released first with GoPro 11 - almost straight after I purchased the 10. can't say I wasn't pissed.
r/dji • View on Reddit →The newest DJI is much better than the newest and more expensive GoPro for diving videos. It has a larger Sensor. That's the area that will improve most likely. My GoPro 10 is significantly darker and grainer than my DJI action 5. The 10 uses the same sensor as whatever the newest one does too.
r/scuba • View on Reddit →I like my GoPro 13, my GoPro 10 broke and they replaced it with a 13 through my subscription. Only issue is the replacement took an actual month, a MONTH, and countless emails between support, honestly about 24 emails. As a direct comparison, my DJI drone broke and DJI replaced it via NEXT DAY AIR, after 2 emails. I literally had a claim submitted the night before and got my replacement the next afternoon. I have tracking numbers for both as proof. 30 days versus 1 day replacement times.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →I have a GoPro 10 and it's really really shitty in low light. Audio is also pretty bad. Works great under ideal conditions but if I still made videos I'd be looking for a newer camera.
r/mountainbiking • View on Reddit →The 9 is the worst its well documented. Tons of issues. The 10 is pretty much a 9 but not broken. If I was a new buyer id go 11 or newer. If Im buying new I wouldnt get a Gopro Id go action 5 or a insta360 x5. Gopro is hype atp.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →I have a GoPro 10 and I recently bought a DJI Osmo Action 4, and frankly, the image quality of the Action 4 is superior, even with the same 4K 60fps settings. Not to mention how easy it is to add wireless microphones!
r/gopro • View on Reddit →Yes, I regularly do night photography with my GoPros - Hero10 through 13, as well as 360 cameras. But I want to stress that your subject needs to also be stationary - it's not like you can film wildlife with this approach. But if you're just trying to capture trees or landscapes, depending on how much moon & starlight you have, this might work fine. Can you give more detail about the types of images you want to capture?
r/gopro • View on Reddit →Due to the quality of the products. I am now on my third GoPro 10, as the previous two failed for mostly the same reasons. But give GoPro some credit, as they replaced them without much issue. On the other hand, I still have my GoPro 4, which is over 10 years old and works perfectly-used it recently whilst waiting for the second replacement GoPro 10.

r/gopro • View on Reddit →i've been really happy with my gopro, the price is right. i've had the 8 through 11. You can actually pull some great stills from video if you get lucky - i've managed to blow up some stills into large format prints to hang and they look fantastic. Lighting + basic editing skills makes a huge difference.
r/scuba • View on Reddit →I am going to assume you dont have an action camera now and give advice based on that.... What I would do.... Buy a cheap action camera ace pro/hero 10/osmo 4 etc.... Get used to using it and editing it, and see how many times you go "shit I wish I caught that" That will give you the decision on if you want a 360 cam If you do go down that route, either wait for the DJI OSMO 360 (after real reviews come out) OR Wait for the X6, the X5 is good but its not a massive jump like the next iteration will be. The one great feature the x5 has is that it outputs 2 video files 1x 360 image and 1x front facing file, so if you just need it to be an action cam, it does that too. I had my gopro 12 on my helmet and my x4 on my handlebars and as I was riding a car on the other side of the road hit another car and hit someone on the pavement, I swung my head round but missed most of it with my helmet cam, but the x4 caught all of it and that was used in an insurance claim. So for me, not having to make sure I am pointing the right way will always be the benefit.
r/Insta360 • View on Reddit →Your older camera uses older batteries which use older chemistry which does not work well in cold weather. Once those batteries get cold, they are incapable of outputting the power required for the operation of your camera (this affects output, not capacity, two very different things). The Hero 9, 10, 11 and 12 all have an Enduro battery option for working in more extreme temps (cold and hot). The Hero 13 has it's own larger Enduro battery as standard. The Max has an Enduro battery option. The Max has it's own larger Enduro battery as standard.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →Hero 8, 9, 10 user here. Go for Insta360. But if you're looking between GoPro and dji, go for dji. In other news, I'm looking to sell my hero 10, if anyone is interested (Kolkata or vicinity) let me know. I've got all accessories and a boatload of additional stuff for it. Asking for 20k.
r/indianbikes • View on Reddit →Yes unlike my Hero 10. I'm probably looking at a DJI this year because here in the PNW it's pretty overcast most of the time.
r/snowboarding • View on Reddit →GoPro Hero 13 with the Macro Lens Mod. Then add the media mod and a Rode Wireless Go 2 microphone system. Frankly though I like using the right tools for the job. When making "review" videos what require overhead close up shots, I'm using a good quality webcam (which is going to work far better indoors in low light than an action camera). For flying, I'm usually using a multicam setup with 2 X GoPro Hero 13's, a GoPro Hero 10 and GoPro Hero 11.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →Hello, I know im a bit late, but The Akaso v50 Pro is a good one for the price, The video quality is pretty good and it has a good battery life, i have both the akaso v50 pro and gopro hero 10 and while not as good as the gopro it comes quite close for the price.
r/FTC • View on Reddit →I would recommend the GoPro 10, video quality will be pretty similar among those cameras. You won't find day and night difference. The biggest advantage of the GoPro it's the sheer number of accesories available. Every mount you need like for cars, motorcycles, mountain bikes, etc... You will find it easy for GoPros.
r/Cameras • View on Reddit →Literally every post now seems to mention low light. I've never had an issue with my GoPros and I've owned every GoPro Black since the 4. Sounds like your sports don't really need low light either, so not sure what the hesitation is. I own a few DJI products as well (drone, mic mini, Osmo mobile) but I'd get a GoPro over the DJI camera for sure.
r/dji • View on Reddit →I have GoPro 10 and my boyfriend has DJI. His camera is hands down better. Once my GoPro dies, I'm switching to DJI
r/MTB • View on Reddit →A GoPro 10 it's a great choice, maybe the 9. There is also the DJI Action 2. Not all second hand action cameras got beat out, some people use them gently like some sort of car dashcam or a vlogging camera. I don't recommend that much brands like Akaso, the image quality is good but other features like stabilization and sound quality are inferior compared to GoPros.
r/Cameras • View on Reddit →The GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 are all the same size and use mostly the same accessories (HB series lenses for the Hero 13 are not backwards compatible, nor are the Hero 13 batteries backwards compatible). Dive cases and mounts are all the same. If you have a dive case for a Hero 9 or 10, it will fit the Hero 11, Hero 12 and Hero 13. The Hero 9 and 10 have the same sensor. The Hero 11, 12 and 13 also all have the same sensor which is just a taller version of the sensor used in the Hero 9 and 10. The proper settings will make all the difference when filming in different lighting scenarios. Filming in a flat profile and color grading in post is the best option for Hero 11 and earlier. Filming in GPLog and color grading in post will work best for the Hero 12 and 13. The GoPro Labs firmware has several tweeks (including a DIVE mode) for helping with stabilization underwater as well as color balance for the temp (color) of the water. Your sharpness should also be set to low when recording.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →I would recommend getting a motorcycle drive recorder I don't know how common they are overseas but here in Japan a lot of bikes have them And that way you can record everything without worrying about battery life on your camera which means you can also set the quality on your chin cam so your videos look extract crisp also having a camera on the front of your helmet for hours and hours isn't the best experience. And for cameras I am currently using the GoPro hero 10 I get about one hour of recording with it set to 4K 30FPS using the endurance battery how ever if you're planning to use it during the night or want to connect an external mic might not the best option. I Know this is a Fairly expensive solution but I think this is your best solution
