I have decided to go for DJI action 4. Can you suggest some good accessories as well like the chin mount , bike mount and what kind of mic to use.
r/indianbikes • BEST ACTION CAMERA ->Yes it was very smooth.. One thing I liked the most about the app is that if your camera and app are connected then you can directly download photos on your camera to your mobile phone.
r/motorfietsen • Beste camera's voor filmen op de motor ->I got pocket 3 and action 4 just in case if the weather change. Happy for both :)
r/osmopocket • Need help deciding which camera to buy for vlogging. Action 5 Pro vs Pocket 3 vs Action 4 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

I use a GoPro 10 camera and a DJI Osmo Action 4. Both have good stabilization, and the 4K 60fps footage is incredible. You can see the results on my YouTube channel. [https://youtube.com/@alaingsadventure?si=wGhYaHDucA12cWZG](https://youtube.com/@alaingsadventure?si=wGhYaHDucA12cWZG)
r/motorcyclegear • Motorcycle camera without extra features? ->I have a GoPro 10 and I recently bought a DJI Osmo Action 4, and frankly, the image quality of the Action 4 is superior, even with the same 4K 60fps settings. Not to mention how easy it is to add wireless microphones!
r/gopro • Is the go pro hero 10 better than the duo action 3 ->I've had great color in my osmo 4 even without a red filter.
r/scuba • GoPro, DJI or Insta360 ->I have a DJI Action 4 and it's great. I do pov mountain biking videos and use it occasionally for an ultra wide shot in concert videos. Does well enough in low light. I've heard there's no meaningful differences the 4 and 5.
r/videography • Which Action cam should i buy? ->I would choose action 5, but I'm heavily biased. I used to be a big-time gopro fanboy (used all the versions from 6 to 12), but they didn't make it very easy. Switched over to Osmo Action like a year ago and haven't looked back since. Gopro has always had a lot of overheating issues, corrupt files, crashing issues, super unresponsive UI, and horrible battery life. Sure, gopro does produce a little bit better quality video, but this is also arguable. action 5 has a bigger sensor and therefore a better lowlight performance, prolly also better dynamic range, but I haven't really checked that dynamic range data specifically. Gopro does a little bit larger bitrate, so yeah, gopro wins in resolution and technical quality, but osmo action has significantly better battery life, better low light performance, and OMG it's just sooo much more reliable. After using action 4 for 1 year, I've had 0 crashes and 0 overheating issues. Constantly got those issues with gopro. Stabilization is arguably better in gopro, but there isn't much difference to be honest Also action 5 quick release system is superior to gopro in every single way. Gopro has dji beat only in two things - maybe like 5% better picture quality, and brand recognition.
r/gopro • GoPro Hero 13 vs. DJI Action 5 Pro - Is GoPro Still King for Adventure Filming? ->I would avoid GoPro Hero 10 or beyond. Those are the only Hero cameras I have experience with and they're a huge PITA especially for motorcycling. It either doesn't turn on, doesn't record, or records with no audio ALL THE TIME. If you happen to notice it's not turning on, then you get to pull over, take your helmet off, unmount the camera, and fiddle with it until you figure out what's not working. Usually requiring you to remove and reinsert the battery. It's the most frustrating thing ever on a bike and I'd argue dangerous since you're preoccupied with the camera instead of your ride. I tried working with a Hero 10 and 11 for over 2 years before I swore them off forever. I recently switched to Insta360 and couldn't be happier. The Insta has literally not one time malfunctioned or not recorded when I pressed the button. I also have an old DJI Osmo Action that never had reliability issues. I would say any Osmo Action gen or the previous gen Insta360 (R One or something like that I cant' remember the name) would do the job well. If part of its job is dashcam you might also consider a 360 camera. You'll have way butter luck catching incidents with it than a regular action cam. I also have a GoPro 360 MAX camera. Unlike the Hero cameras, it's been great. It's still glitchy at times but nowhere near the regularity of the Hero cameras. It's kind long in the tooth now too so you may be able to find them on a good deal somewhere.
r/motorcyclegear • What camera is best for recording riding. ->I bought dji action 4. and after some tweaks and configuration you can see the quality [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24SdmUdhAMA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24SdmUdhAMA) Original video is even better. youtube decreases the quality
r/mountainbiking • Action camera recommendations ->Ik heb de DJI Osmo Action 4, echt een top ding! De Osmo 5 is er ook al maar bespaar je centen want de verschillen zijn klein in specs.
r/motorfietsen • View on Reddit →Action 4 and 5 have a larger sensor than the GoPro, which 100% is the most important for underwater and low light environments. Your issue had to be user error.
r/scubadiving • View on Reddit →Audio is bij mij nog altijd totale horror. r/motorfietsen • View on Reddit →right, well.... they're almost all the same. 4 has better color, 5 has better lighting in dark environments and bluetooth microphone ability. 6 has open gate so you can crop horizontal or vertical and automatically adjusts aperture (according to a hands on video I saw just 10 minutes ago). But you can film horizontally or vertically anyway with the Action 4 by just turning the camera horizontal or vertical. Each one goes up in price with minor improvements. If you're going to use it mainly for surfing just get the 4 it's quite inexpensive and can take a beating. It just depends on how much you want to spend. Get the 6 and it does everything. If you only care about filming surfing then get the 4 and save your money for accessories. If you can afford the 6 then get the 6. no doubt it will do additional things but you're probably never going to use them. If you have absolutely no idea just get the latest and the greatest. On the other hand the price will probably be twice that of the 4. Black Friday sales are very soon don't forget.
r/dji • View on Reddit →I got the [THIS](https://amzn.to/45HdMQO) DJI Osmo and have been really happy with it. For the price it's hard to beat. I have had go pros in the past and would say it is very comparable.
r/hikinggear • View on Reddit →Agree regarding the lenses. I keep the covers on my X3 and use it for specialty shots and then the Osmo4 for most stuff, which does have a replaceable lens. ...and when stuff happens, I add it to the pile of smashed action cameras and gimbals:)
r/trailrunning • View on Reddit →I want to record my motorcycle rides, just for fun. But I don't know what camera to buy that isn't very expensive. If anyone could recommend a type of camera (GoPro) I would appreciate it. What could be good value for money? Without having to spend a fortune? :) Edit: thanks for all your suggestions. They really helped me. :) Edit: I bought the DJI Action 4 for €200 And it is wonderful!!! Thanks to you :)
r/motorcycles • View on Reddit →My setup is a DJI 4, but I'd go with a 5 if purchasing new. I have it in a gimbal and carry it in my hand. I don't record continuously, although my longest continuous record is probably 1 hour, but I've carried it on 10+ hour runs. I use the single press to start/stop record. I carry extra batteries and microSDs. The chest strap may work but you may see some jolting in your footage, even with stabilization. Also, you will most likely pick up your arms / hands in your footage, which I find distracting. The hand held gimbal enables you to extend the camera forward enough to get a perfect POV shot without distraction, plus it is easier to point in the direction you are looking, or not in the case of technical trail where you are looking down and you want the camera forward or to the side. The more you record the more you'll know what footage works best in your videos and then you won't need to record continuously, unless you have a use case where it does. I record at 4k 24fps. Recording continuously for hours at 4k will take up a lot of space. You can check out some of my footage in the video I created for my running group. See the 2024 highlight video on this page - https://www.trailambitions.com/btrbc-season-highlight-videos. This is straight out of the camera with no color grading.
r/trailrunning • View on Reddit →Hmmm I've used action 4 it can do 10bit hlg & dlog M so idk why you're saying no HDR? It retains great dynamic range and had zero issues , 5 is good too but both are a lot better than any GoPro rn

r/gopro • View on Reddit →Get the insta 360. I've regretted my Osmo action 4. The whole time I've owned it. It's bully and heavy the head mounts are attention grabbing, the vehicle mounts are Shakey. The videos and stabulation are great. But the weight of it is annoying enough that I use my cell phone for exploring.
r/dji • View on Reddit →I have a DJO Osmo Action 4 [mounted to the stem of my bicycle](https://www.b-spokes.co/products/trigo-stem-mount-for-brompton-trp1820?srsltid=AfmBOoph5pAuRYa7ZQz0zQhyT2IXH7ijQ60TiJ_R08tDZTkrhWFVBxmc) (a Brompton). I also have a GoPro Hero [mounted on my saddle](https://www.freedomfoldingbikes.com/copy-of-trigo-bike-computer-mount-for-brompton.html). I would consider the Cycliq cameras but they will affect my fold. Although the software seems great, I've heard mixed reviews of the cameras (and technology seems pretty outdated now). I am considering a DJI Osmo 360 camera on my handlebars to replace the Action 4. I haven't seen examples of footage with this perspective. I'd like to capture some side shots of cars passing... capturing a bit as they approach... and capturing myself as well. But, I haven't seen example footage when mounted on the stem... everyone uses a pole and I don't want to do that.
r/cycling • View on Reddit →I got it brand new. Watched many youtube video reviews, honest opinions, tutorials etc before buying. The camera sure has its strengths - fast charging, long autonomy, waterproof, it is light and easy to mount. It is good for SlowMo at bright sunny days, or for timelapse/hyperlapse videos. It records decent sound. I have a few big issues with it. 1. Extremely wide angle. If I go with Dewarp the corners are rediculously stratched. If I go with wide, no straight lines in shot. Using Narrow seriously degrades image quality, not to mention Digital Zoom... 2. I cannot get consistent image quality. Sometimes, in very rare occassions, I get a good footage. Not enough to use it for serious production, especially in lowlight situations. I tried voice announcing the settings in the beginning of the shots, to compare them later, but wasn't consistant and persistant enough. I watched a lot of "how to get the maximum out of your Action4" videos which didn't help. Comparing my footage to those on YT makes me suspicious that we do not have the same camera model at all. Like, preproduction ones were better than those we bought after brilliant reviews? Wouldn't be the first time, I remember the Kingston affair... I forgot to mention that I shoot and edit video professionaly, at work - for 10 years or more. My general impression is that 4k is usable only if you export in 1080. 1080 res is hardly usable as is, and that is another big disappointment. 1080 straight out of camera looks like the footage I had 5-6 years ago, on a cheap low-tier Android phone. Sorry for this, I thought some of you might be interested in my opinion. Also, if anyone has some experiences with Action4 that would like to share or discuss, I'd be glad to hear from you. What made your videos with Action4 better? Have you any hack or advice? Thanks for reading.
r/dji • View on Reddit →We use GoPros at work for in car spiels, and we have found the latest ones annoyingly buggy. Sometimes (not often) shutting down randomly and sometimes not saving a video and throwing up an error. It also tends to overheat when mounted on the windshield since we live in a hot country (happens often). Image quality is great, to be fair, but we shifted to osmo actions because of the more reliable software, more reliable heat dissipation and longer battery life. Transfer by files is also easier on the DJI with a better iPhone app. Overall, go pro has really good video quality, but the few times it failed, they were mission critical shots, and we just can't afford to have that gap in our workflow.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →I have DJI action 5, some offers around but probably more on the action 4 which is still a great camera
r/royalenfield • View on Reddit →I got pocket 3 and action 4 just in case if the weather change. Happy for both :)
r/osmopocket • View on Reddit →The DJI Osmo Action 4 worked awesome for us when we were there.
r/Tahiti • View on Reddit →I use the Dango designs 'gripper mount' with my DJI action 4 on my Bell MX9 ADV helmet and it works great. I tried to use some stick on chin mounts, but the camera was always limited to a downward angle. The dji camera has been great for me. You can check my videos to see the quality, audio and video from this setup: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIYAFRrAJxc&t=954s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIYAFRrAJxc&t=954s)
r/Dualsport • View on Reddit →I think the Action 4 will serve you better... smaller, more reliable, it just "works" while the GoPro is larger, the older 10-11 had issues with software bugs and crashes etc. The quality of the Action 4 is actually excellent and its the smallest and lightest normal action camera still sold today (the new Go Ultra is a niche and when in the Action Pod is actually larger / heavier than the Action 4.)
r/Insta360 • View on Reddit →Thanks! I use the GoPro9 and DJI Action Osmo 4! I'm looking to upgrade though.
r/Pickleball • View on Reddit →just get the 4. color profile is far better than the 5 and it's much cheaper. I'm still intent on getting the 6 though unless there's there's a deal breaker. waiting for full reviews.
r/dji • View on Reddit →I've had great color in my osmo 4 even without a red filter.
r/scuba • View on Reddit →So firstly, I'm new to the action camera in general but lots of footage shot using iPhone in past and have a generally "Ok" knowledge of film and camera internals. BUT...I'm not a pro and think I need help. [D Log 4K60FPS no LUT AWB](https://reddit.com/link/1lhlql4/video/2l00ql7uxg8f1/player) After LOTS of research (literally months of review watching) I went for an action camera 4 because I couldn't warrant the osomo 3 as my first "toe dip". So I film vlogs and music vids and general life stuff as I'm a musician. I have started filming in D log (applying LUT after) and after lots and lots of searching for the "best settings" (serious minefield, I know) I film in 4k 60 fps (tried 120fps but generally I reduce to 60/30fps anyway) auto white balance and 16:9. (I think that's everything. But the footage comes out super low quality footage around edges and general sharpness even with a pro light (nanlite - daylight) Did a recent shoot and had to use the Go Pro 12 black and it completely wiped the floor with the action camera 4. From what I've read, it must be something I'm missing? Any help is appreciated before I get rid of this cam and get a go pro.
r/dji • View on Reddit →Worse HDR? You get to shoot in Log, and you can make any HDR out of it. (An oversimplification, but you get the point.) Camera sensors are judged by their dynamic range, not their ability to shoot HDR. It really depends on how you shoot and how you grade it. For its price, there's no other camera that matches that image quality and color performance in action or rugged scenarios. It has never overheated on me, even in 36/38°C conditions. Once, in around 45°C+ outdoors, the display blacked out, but the camera kept recording. What I'm saying is that the Action 5 is slightly better, but if you're on a tighter budget, the Action 4 is still a solid choice. Both are far superior to GoPros in my experience, especially in terms of mounting options, battery life, and the ability to connect to DJI mics.
r/dji • View on Reddit →It really depends on what you want to do with it. I use a combination of X4, GoPro Hero 12, and DJI Osmo 4. As everyone has noted 360 is better for all the lack of framing and set it up you have to do. I export always in 4K and publish 4K videos to YouTube. I'm pretty satisfied with the quality although when my buddy gives me X3 footage it's a noticeable drop in quality when you cut action camera footage next to the 360 footage that's been reframed and exported at 4K. That's mostly because the quality of that camera is lower and I'm up sampling which never really works well. If you're going X5 I think you'e failed unless you want to combo the footage with other high resolution footage it'll do the job. I also produce a lot of short form TikTok and Instagram content 360 so much easier for that and since the quality is 1080 it comes out stellar.
r/Insta360 • View on Reddit →I wouldn't use the Osmo Pocket 3, it will probably overheat. A GoPro or something more durable is probably better. Osmo Action maybe if you still want to go with DJI.
r/Pickleball • View on Reddit →I have been using DJI 4 for the past year, and it's great. Probably the 5 is slightly better but I'm not sure about the new specifications. Get a housing tho! Also you can you a small tray and add some lights on it
r/underwaterphotography • View on Reddit →I have a phone gimbal (om7p) and action 4. Honestly, while gimbal is pretty cool at stabilizing footages it has draw backs. Phone gets pretty big and clunky with a gimbal on it and needs time to set it up even if you have magnetic quick release. So it is like good for a planed shot but not for a spontaneous quick recording, what I mostly use my phone ( suddenly something cam worthy but no cam on me). Action cam on the other hand is smaller than a phone alone, easy to pocket and it has fantastic digital stabilization. Also easy to set up for quick shoting. Powered off, press the record button and within 1-2 sec it starts recording. Draw back with the action cam is the action cam look. It is either ultra wild or if you dewarp and crop in it has lesser quality. As for the pocket 3? I only tried it in show rooms and it feels like combinations of the good things of the previous 2 cam. I ended up not buying it because I have enough camera for my needs and i am not that rich to have each and every camera I like sadly.
r/osmopocket • View on Reddit →Which "first" camera? Your first ever action cam? Get the Action 4 it's the cheapest but actually It has the best color of all the cameras. If you need Bluetooth mic ability then get the Action 6. Why? It's about the same price as the 5 is right now on Amazon... maybe even $10 cheaper which doesn't make sense... also its almost Black Friday too so look for a bargain.

r/motorcyclegear • View on Reddit →For simplicity, if you only need to record for a couple hours. I tend to recommend something like a GoPro Hero / DJI Osmo Action / Insta360 Ace Pro. If you need to go over a couple hours consider adding a USB power bank. If you need to go for multiple days, there are dedicated construction Timelapse cameras like Brinno. Small, weather proof, can take it a little rough, and they tend to have lots of different mounting attachment options. There are some decent spring-clamp options.
r/photography • View on Reddit →I mean you can't really compare the two. The Sony will absolutley beat any action cam. However, the new DJI Action cam do have a bigger sensor vs the newest GoPro. Both of which are micro sized vs the APS-C sensor in the Sony. Action cams work better when you have video lights vs relying on natural lighting. They work great for caves when you can really lighten the whole place up.
r/scubadiving • View on Reddit →The 4 is still so good. Glad that was the one I got. And like you, now after seeing the 6 I'm more interested in the Nano than anything else.
r/dji • View on Reddit →Heb zelf een dji osmo 4. Voor dat budget ook mijn tip. Ik heb geen verder referentiekader, maar ik was zeer onder de indruk van de beelden, snelheid, slow mo features timelapses, en je kan em via usbc als 4k webcam gebruiken.
r/motorfietsen • View on Reddit →I have the action 4 and the pocket 3 and both are great devices. Different use: 90% of the time the pocket 3 is all I need but to record travel, mounting the action 4 to the windshield is the way to go. Also to record fun days in the pool and under water the action is the solution.
r/osmopocket • View on Reddit →Go try a DJI Action 4. Great camera. Pretty small. If you want the best battery life with that size, go try the action 5.
r/gopro • View on Reddit →I've been using the Action 4 a lot since it came out. Its only downside is its weak performance in low-light conditions. That's not a problem for me because I have other cameras for that kind of shooting
r/dji • View on Reddit →DJI is absolutely better than GoPro- it didn't used to be- but when the Osmo action 4 released- it was better. Both OA4 &5 are better than anything GoPro has put out IMO- and I've owned GoPros since the Hero 4.
