1. Data Collection & Filtering
We ingest posts and comments from hundreds of product-focused subreddits. Each mention is deduplicated, stripped of spam and bot content, and mapped to a specific product SKU using fuzzy entity matching. Only first-hand owner experiences pass our relevance filter — generic hype, affiliate pitches, and unverified claims are discarded.
2. Sentiment & Context Analysis
Every qualifying mention is scored across multiple dimensions: overall sentiment polarity, endorsement strength, ownership confidence, and specificity depth. Context-aware NLP distinguishes "I love mine" from "my friend loves his" and weights them accordingly.
3. Weighted Ranking Algorithm
Final scores combine: recommendation volume, praise-to-complaint ratio, endorsement specificity, recency decay, source authority, and cross-thread consensus. Products aren't just counted — they're evaluated on the quality and conviction behind every mention.
